Very bad experience. Had booked for my son's birthday party from a month ago and when I received the tables I'd confirmed were given to another group. The lady that was the organizer reacted very rude when I brought up my concerns and all I got was her horrible attitude. They ruined the day that I had prepared for, from 3 months ago. They also don't allow food/drink from outside and push for their own food, at 2-3 times cost. read more

Came here for Father's Day. This place has not changed since I was little and came here. The workers were kind and helpful. The place was busy which was good to see. We all had fun on the lanes and the kids were having a blast. Beverages seem very pricey though...but nice afternoon bowling. read more

The St. Albert Bowling Centre offers standard blowing, neon bowling, and bumper bowling for the bowling challenged (toddlers or the intoxicated). The prices are pretty standard for bowling alleys but the food is overpriced and nothing to write home about. The staff are friendly but the place itself can use some updating. There is a mini golf portion outside as well but it is quite weathered from our harsh seasons. They participate in summer children's bowling programs which offer discounted bowling rates for kids to help keep them active! There are some league nights here as well, so be sure to check out their website or phone ahead to make sure there are lanes open and available for public use. Bowl on! read more

We love coming here on weekend nights for neon bowling, which is two hours of neon bowling on Friday or Saturday nights after 10:00 PM for like $17 plus tax. There is a games room here to kill time if you arrive early, and a full bar with highballs and pitchers of beer to take with you to your table. The place is a tad outdated but that just adds to the appeal for me. It's a bowling alley. The only two complaints we would have is that las night when we went for neon bowling they have switched to music videos on big screens above the lanes with the songs they play. Cool in theory, but they literally had twelve songs/ videos they rotated through repeatedly. Hearing the same songs 3 or 4 times during your two hours of bowling is irritating. As well, eat before you come. The food here is reasonably priced but awful. It's deep fried fast food you would expect from a bowling alley. Take a pass on it. All in all we have a pretty damn good bowling alley in our city, check it out! read more

As the only bowling alley in the area, this place has not changed since the early nineties. The machines, bowling balls and chairs/tables are a tribute to my childhood. We had a few drinks which were pretty steep in price for a bottle of beer ($6.75) and there was visible dust on the bottles. I guess not many people order a bottle of beer just jugs here? The price for the bowling was also high, $15 per person for an hour. We were there on a Saturday night and not during the neon bowling. My bowling shoes were also falling apart at the seems but hey who likes bowling shoes anyways? read more

My husband and I, along with my mother who is visiting from out of town, decided to go mini golfing at this location on August 1, 2016. Since there is no longer any outdoor mini golf locations in Edmonton, we came to St. Albert. We were greeted by a very nice young girl and paid $6 each for one game of 18-hole mini golf. We went outside and immoderately noticed we were the only people golfing, which is great since we got to take out time. However, the course is very small, and unkept. Some of the holes were rotted and falling apart, and a few are on a hill so the balls are rolling to one spot. The grass was uncut and there was garbage around the area. We really wanted to like it, but unfortunately, it was less than average and definitely not "newly renovated" as indicated on their website. read more

Went here tonight for a family birthday party. There were about 20-25 of us, including little ones. My cousin arranged everything, including booking the lanes and the party room and ordering the food. We had five lanes reserved for about an hour and a half, which included shoe rental. We then used one of the party rooms for a couple of hours afterwards. The guy at the shoe counter was really nice. The place was pretty busy; it looked like almost all of the lanes were full, and we got there at 4pm. The only real problem we had was with our lane. For some reason, on two occasions, all of our balls would be used up and just wouldn't come back out. We got a staff member to get them out for us and he was helpful and energetic. The glow-bowling was fun. They brought out this weird contraption to make it easier for the little kids to roll the ball, which I thought was sweet. The noise level was pretty loud. Just a culmination of the balls, pins, so many people and kinda loud music. We had pizza, which is provided by the bowling alley, and I unfortunately have to say that it was probably the worst pizza I've ever had. I feel bad saying that, because this seems like a nice place, but it was just gross. They have a menu some other stuff on it - I briefly glanced at it and saw nachos, popcorn, wings, etc., and your standard candy and chips. I feel kinda bad giving only 2 stars - this seems like a fun place with good staff and I would probably go here if I lived in St. Albert. I would just not order pizza and hopefully would not have any issues with my lane. They have 5- and 10-pin bowling, glow bowling, and apparently mini golf, too! read more

Ah, the St. Albert Bowling Centre. The site of so many awkward high school dates and birthday parties. Memories, sigh. When you're the only bowling alley in town, you don't need to be fancy. I'm almost positive that's the mindset of the owners of this place. The employees are often local high school kids, making their way through their first after-school job. It's actually quite big, but when the scoring machines break frequently, that isn't a pro, because it can take a while for the staff to come over. The food isn't very good, but at least they have beer running on tap. And if you book in advance, you can have your own private room for food, hang outs, and jackets. A friend accidentally walked out with a pair of bowling shoes from here once. I would be surprised if the staff ever noticed. read more

Ok.. how many people think 5 pin bowling is harder than 10 pin? Whoever invented the 5 pin system obviously could not knock down 10 pins so they created this instead ! Probably thought the regular bowling balls were too heavy as well.. so let's make them really small ! Well let me tell you.. 5 pin is harder. My sister and her family and I were here yesterday for an hour of bowling ( neon bowling.. lights out, all blue neon and flashing lights ). The first ball I picked up had a huge dent in it.. picked up another one.. another dent. We had lanes 1 and 2 . Our machine to enter names did not work so we had to go to the counter to have staff enter our names. But thats OK.. as long as it worked. The flashing lights are a bit distracting but once you get used to it, you dont notice it as much. They do have 10 pin bowling but at different times ( Saturdays, it's 5 pin until 7 pm ). So in between waiting for my turn I took a quick look around .. The place is outdated and really could use an update in the décor. The music playing was so-so. You could barely hear it but thats OK by me. The bathroom was filthy though. We did not get any food but I did walk by a table that had pretty much every item on the table - party of 10. It looked good but when I asked a guy at the table how the food was, he replied so -so. In other words, typical bowling fare- pizza, wings, fries... blah ! looking at their menu , a large pizza is $28 or 2 for $50.00 ( I doubt it is even made fresh considering I looked at it on their table and it looked like it was not worth the money ). Actually now that I think about it , it looked like it was one of those frozen ones you buy at a grocery store. Just like all the other deep fried items. Based on that, eat somewhere else or afterwards.. it did not look at all appetizing . Overall it was pretty fun and the place was a bit busy . But then again, I think this is the only place in St Albert so that helps. Like I said,, overall it was pretty fun to bowl for an hour - but when your time is up, that's it ! You could be in the middle of a great game ( or in my case a really bad game ) and it could suddenly end ! One nice feature is you can book your times online to save you a few minutes. The cost to bowl is around $18 for an hour but if you go with a group , they do have group rates. Prices do include shoe rental . read more

We had so much fun at the Bowling Centre. I called late afternoon on a Saturday to get a reservation on a lane for 7:30 and they were able to accommodate us. The place was packed when we entered and even though there was a line up at the register - we were served super quick and the staff when out of their way with a few requests we had. They have a great set up there with the lounge and arcade. We're lucky to have this type of recreation and family fun centre in St. Albert! read more

Horrible experience for my daughter's tenth birthday party. Paid for 1 hour of bowling and one hour of table with pizza and pop. Lost almost half bowling time because of ball jams. Staff kept accusing our group of jamming the balls due to their equipment malfunctions. Was promised more time because of this however were never given this time. When questioned about it they said they couldn't because the lanes were changing over, however they allowed the people beside us to start a new game. Told us maybe they could find us another lane. kids barely finished their game before they shut it down. Brought food out before we were done bowling and didn't even tell us. So for $166 we received a half hour of bowling and cold pizza with watered down drinks. Emailed the establishment to state my concerns and again was basically accused of jamming it ourselves. Offered me a free game to compensate. meanwhile this was supposed to be a memorable time for my daughter as it was her birthday celebration. Please don't waste your money at this establishment. Staff are rude and roll their eyes at you when you voice a problem or concern. Don't waste your time making these people do their job that they are paid to do. Will not return to this establishment anytime soon that is for sure. read more
