For the most part, mini golf is mini golf. Not much to it. This is a decent mini golf course. It's fun. It's not as fun as the outdoor mini golf at Whitemud, but it's OK. If you aren't looking for a lot, this will certainly help you kill some time or even just give yo some time to chill out and talk while you make your way from hole to hole. I find that there is always someone here playing mini golf when I go to West Ed. Always. It's pretty busy for a mini golf course. My advice is to wait until the course at Whitemud opens in Spring and go there! It's my favourite mini golfing site in the city!

Mall mini-golf.

If you love mini-golf but aren't particularly picky or choosy about your course, then just for fun you've gotta putt at WEM's main mini-golf place. There is another one in the mall that's glow-in-the-dark and way cooler, but this was the first one I did and I had fun, although I don't like the fact that it's smack in the middle of the mall and feels like everyone can watch you. This course has lots of rippling, hilly greens, and everything's primary colours and reminds me a bit of Red Robin restaurant. If it had a golf course, for sure it would look like this. However, for a bit of mall entertainment you pay $10 to rent a putter and ball and have their great adventure. With a million and one other things to do at one of the world's biggest malls, it seems a bit inflated. But it's good for second or third dates. It's not about the hole-in-one but the journey on the greens.

This mini golf is not located in a high traffic area and I didn't know where it was until I walked…read moredown towards the exit. We decided to check it out because we have the free passes from West Edmonton Mall's Christmas promotion. Others had the same idea to wait until the last day as there was a line up. The guy working there was friendly and gave us putters and told us to pick out a ball. We wanted to give some space between us at the father/daughter in front of us so we waited before we started. The course is boring after a few holes and each hole is a par 3 except the last one. The obstacles are repeated throughout (no sandtraps and level playing) and it's not very challenging for adults and likely more fun for younger children. We didn't catch up to the people in front of us until we reach one hole, but after they moved ahead quickly. Can't complain as it was free, but wouldn't pay $11 for less than 30 minutes as there are better mini golf options around.

It also includes the crystal labyrinth mirror which is at this location. If you don't have the pass you pay for each attraction separately. I have never done a mirror labyrinth before and found this to be very enjoyable. You had to wear gloves and I truly found myself walking into mirrors. I had hoped to go back a second time and take pictures but I did not plan accordingly. It is pretty fast though and may not be something everyone would consider to be a good value. Now that I am home I have found myself googling other mirror mazes as I was hoping to repeat the experience, but sadly there are none that I could find. The mini golf starts with a video about the story and the purpose of your mini golf experience which is to save dragon eggs. I never did figure out how the scoring correlated to the amount of dragon eggs saved, but it still made for a fun time. There are quite a few photo opportunities and its a bit more exciting than regular mini golf. I enjoyed being in the black lights, although this is not one of those interactive mini golf courses, the hole designs are pretty simple.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The reason that I'm not giving 5 star to them is because the venue didn't have a proper setup for work events. Projector was not bright enough. Lighting was very poor and we could not even read any of our notes. I believe this could be fixed easily if they would like to attract businesses to use this facility for their event and I hope next time I go there I see some improvements. If you go there for personal and family fun day, you'll probably enjoy your experience and will have fun! For those activities I actually recommend them! :)

They have pool tables, some arcade games, bowling, Lazer tag, billiards/pool, and a lounge. The lounge has events such as comedy or sports game nights, and it always ends up being a great time. Each time I have been there, the servers in the lounge have been great with checking up with you to see if they can assist with anything. Keep in mind if you want to go here with a group, it is best to book in advance, because this is a fairly busy location. That being said, each time i have gone here with one or two people, I haven't had to wait long at all. One side note; as this is a fairly busy place, the pool tables have had a lot of use and are not in the best of shape, and some are straight up in need of repair. However, if you are looking for fun, Gateway Entertainment has that for sure. As mentioned above, I have been here many times, and will most likely continue, as it is always a fun time.

No reviews since 2014?! Have to set that right!…read more We took a staycation day and came in the morning on a sunny September weekday 2019. This year fall hours are 9am-8pm. Yes! The course has lights! It's a beautifully treed haven is just a stone's throw away from Saskatchewan Dr and 109 St. Loaded with birds and squirrels, it's pretty tough to tell you are in the city. Edmonton's River Valley is such a wonderful gem. We played 9 holes... takes about an hour, (if you play with me be prepared - it's going to be 90 minutes) but there ARE 18 well groomed and manicured holes nestled on the slope. I found the rough to be adequate and the greens were nicely compact. Yes, there were some holes in the greens, but I attribute that to folks not knowing how to repair the damage. We fixed the worst we found. I don't golf... and I managed less than 8 strokes on every hole . Almost made par on two! Great variety of distances on the greens for every skill level. My partner well overshot one hole, but thankfully there are well crafted hops, slopes and fences to contain the mayhem. I even got a double bank off a tree that put me back on the fairway! Yeehaw! There is parking near the clubhouse, so you don't have to walk up from the Kinsmen fitness centre if you don't want to (or can't). There are bike racks and a few picnic tables at the clubhouse. The clubhouse is outfitted with solar panels and a solar water heater. Way to green!! The clubhouse also has a nice selection of snacks, freezies, pop, chips and mosquito spray. You might want to bring some but they have some to buy if you forget. There are two gender neutral washrooms, a big garage door to open up one side when the weather is nice. Green fees are reasonable considering the cost of a movie these days, and it doesn't seem like the prices have gone up in YEARS! $16 for 9 holes, $20 for 18, & club rental $3/club, putter and iron minimum. Seems fair for an afternoon out. Can't imagine maintenance is any less for a little course as a bigger one. Each hole has an artificial turf tee box, and leaning bench to put or lean your behind or clubs on so they don't get all gummy in the morning dew. Was well laid out to flow from one green to the next tee box. I do see the point George makes about there being some near proximity for tees towards other players on other holes. If it's not as busy (mornings we were told) I think that works for us. Next time I'll bring some kind of bag to keep all my stuff together. Maybe a strap to hook my clubs on the bench when they aren't being used. Didn't spot a ball washer on the course, only at the clubhouse... but maybe we missed them? They told us they usually close Sept 30th after free facilities day, but they are going to see if they can stay open until Thanksgiving-or the first couple weeks of October. I can't believe it took me 12 years to come. I think this is going to be one of our new date destinations.

Boy have I had some adventures here! From falling down an escalator as a tot to riding the Mindbender roller coaster back when that was still a thing, showing off the amusement park to university/college students visiting our city from elsewhere or playing laser tag with the band Green Day when they came to town for Edge Fest or most recently visiting to play DDR with my partner or bringing our toddler here to ride rides... Galaxyland is a thing. It can be a place of joy or a place of sorrows... it can certainly be an expensive visit or an inexpensive one depending on how you do it, but it can clearly be a lot of fun! When I was a kid I ADORED The children's play park area. My toddler loved the ball pit when we visited as a family. The rides are a mixed bag. Currently most are themed around Hasbro properties and some aren't really suitable for adults who are exceedingly tall though the height restrictions for children are clearly noted. I have a lot of fond memories here but note that it can be really noisy and crowded so plan accordingly. It is great that in a winter city like Edmonton indoor amusement areas like this one exist, clearly!

I'm terrified of roller coasters because of the metal hitting the rails and the g-forces but I wanted to have fun. And after visiting here I think I got over that and am looking forward to amusement parks. Tip: if you are staying at the Fantasyland hotel, you can buy passes for more than half the cost. It even includes access to attractions outside the amusement park including mini golf, maze, indoor beach, aquarium, ice rink and much more. We bought the 2-day pass and it paid for itself the first day
