A slightly pretentious name for a terraced house in a suburban street albeit in a pleasant small fishing village. Please don't be put off by our first impression; inside everything is nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The room wasn't particularly big but contained almost everything you could want, although we couldn't find the hair dryer. The bed was comfortably firm; just as at home. We liked the paintings which fit with the B&B's location in the small fishing port of Pittenweem. Marie is an excellent hostess although the afternoon tea with cakes / shortbread on arrival promised on the website were not mentioned and this statement should be removed from the website if it not going to be offered. The breakfast was excellent; the porridge and scrambled eggs were both just as asked for and there was a really good choice of alternatives; we particularly liked the variety of fresh and dried fruit on offer. Good value, highly recommended. read more
