She and I had a great time, when i saw that someone had their birthday here, I knew I had to too. I reached out to them via Instagram and set up a date and time and it was simple and easy. You can even have outside food too, so I brought a pizza, cake, waters and chips and my friends brought snacks too. When I arrived with my friend, we were greeted and brought to our table. The team here are so sweet and kind, they decorated the table and painted Happy Birthday, it was soo sweet. Typical Virgo, bought a banner but didn't have to use it because they were so kind to do that for me. It was definitely busy and packed so I'm glad I made reservations, my friends all started to trickle in until our whole table for 20 was full. It's definitely Pick Your Own Adventure, most of us chose to paint pottery, while others made slime and create a mosaic, it was so fun. I ended up choosing a heart shape plate and painted it, it was so fun getting to celebrate my birthday with my friends painting cups and plates or guitars or whatever any wanted to do. We usually go and have a dinner or brunch so this was definitely a fun change. I had my nieces and nephew draw a little part on my plate, I can't wait to pick it up on Thursday!

It can get really crowded on the weekends so be prepared. Would come back here especially since it's in a great location with plenty else to do. Great way to spend hours of fun with friends, family, or as a date.

My hubby and I signed up for our very first pottery date night here, and honestly... we picked it…read morebecause it has my name in it (how could I not? ). This turned out to be one of the most unexpectedly fun, and messy kind of nights we've had in a long time. Our instructor Josh was fantastic: super thorough with step-by-step guidance while sprinkling in just the right amount of sarcastic humor to keep things light when our clay creations started looking... questionable He made total beginners feel comfortable getting our hands dirty (literally) and embracing the chaos. So pottery is WAY harder than it looks. My husband and I quickly realized we probably won't be quitting our day jobs to become ceramic artists anytime soon But we had an absolute blast trying, filming our wobbly moments, and competing with other couples to see who comes out with the best pieces (we lost proudly). At the end of the night, you get to keep what you make (1 piece for each person) and they'll glaze and heat it up for you to pick up at a later date. Bonus: they had a whole stack of finished pieces from past classes that were never picked up, selling them for $1 each or 10 for $5. I totally walked out with 10 pieces like a boss Despite our lack of natural talent, we somehow managed to produce two actually decent bowls: miracles happen once and a while If you're looking for a date night that's interactive, memorable, slightly messy, and guaranteed to give you stories to laugh about later, this is it Pro Tip: Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty... and prepare to discover muscles in your hands you didn't know existed

Low intensity, fun time on the spinning wheel. Would recommend and we will return in the future. :)

Staples had a good quality, but Blick's were very high quality AND cheaper than Staples. This was the first time that I shopped at this Blick as they recently moved into this former Joann store from their India Street location. While this store is a little more out-of-the-way, it is a wonderful size for Blick, and all on one level. Items are easy to find and nicely displayed, making the store a joy to browse in. If they don't have it, you probably don't need it. They also have some fun not-exactly-art things, but fewer books than I remember being at the India store. Lots of easy parking. Helpful service, too.

They have tons of canvases, all sorts of paints, various types of paper, etc. In the front of the store they have some cute gift items, art books, coloring books, journals, pens, markers, pencils, etc. To the left of the cash register area they have art supplies for young artists such as crayons, etc. They have some crafting supplies, but from this visit, I ascertained that this is not their focus. (It's also in their name, but just being clear.) :) The folks working were friendly and helpful. The prices seem mostly reasonable to a tad expensive depending what you are looking for. They do offer discounts for teachers and students. There is plenty of parking in the huge shared lot. Peace.
