We purchased our home and were searching for a contractor to review items that were addressed in our home inspection. I reached out to a local designer for recommendations and she recommended Mat. He said he was unavailable to help with the items on our list but gave recommendations of businesses who could help, such as Miller Glass. No problem... the trouble started six months later. We reached out to him in January of 2025 asking if he had time to help us build a wall in our entryway sometime that year. He said yes, came over to look at our space, and charged us $100. Since then, he has done barely anything and it is now August of 2026. He has had a couple of conversations with us, said he would come back over for final measurements but never did, sent us a couple of AI rendered photos, claimed he was discussing with his door supplier, changed his business email without telling us so we had to dig for it months later after he disappeared (which he does for months at a time). He quoted $10,000 and said it could go up to $15,000. We told him we budgeted $15,000 but to let us know if the costs would be higher... we weren't fighting him on costs. We were kind and incredibly patient. We were hoping to find someone who could ultimately help us with renovating a kitchen and two bathrooms. We were willing to wait for a quality contractor, but I am appalled at the poor service we have received. Stringing us along for over a year and a half is unacceptable and unprofessional. If he hadn't been recommended by the designer, I would think he was scamming people with fake consults. I'd look elsewhere if you value your time. I feel like a bit of a fool for wasting so much of mine.

We just had our chimney swept and inspected by them after a couple of years and Awny was great! Super friendly, knowledgeable and such a dog lover. As you can tell, my girl reciprocated the adoration. I spoke to Awny about replacing my back sliding screen door with a stronger one that would also have a dog door included and to my happy surprise Den Defenders provides those too!! Super happy customers in our household.

I called a few places claiming they serviced our area but they in fact did not. After calling Den Defenders, they were able to send out a representative, Eli, to come by within a week of our call to get us started. When I was on the call with the lady at their office, I appreciated that she shared the prices with me upfront so that there were no surprises when Eli came out. Eli was very professional and helpful and supported us in making the best decision for the screen doors that we wanted for both our front door and back sliding door. They let us know that they would be able to install our doors after they receive them around middle of October. They reached out in early September to let us know that the doors had arrived and were ready for installation. They ended up being able to install the screen doors about a month ahead of time . Ross and Nick completed the installation of the doors. They showed up exactly on time and got right to work. The installation took around 4 to 5 hours. Ross and Nick were very friendly and super thorough in the work that they completed. We are very happy with both the front door and the back sliding door. We're excited to have air flow throughout the house and not have to worry about bugs getting in. We also feel like our property is more secure with these screens. Thank you Eli, Ross, and Nick for all your help!
