Wonderful selection of chocolates, cupcakes and cookies. Beautiful designs and not just your normal round or square cake. They had a purse shaped cake for Mother's Day. Beautiful arrangements of flowers are on hand, although the floral section is small, there is great variety. There were miniature orchids that were so cute. The pots are all different also, there's one in a watering can, or organic pot, bird cages etc. The selection of housewares is all right. I went looking for wok lids, but they don't seem to sell lids on their own. Joe fresh is also located in the store. If you have caa membership, you get an extra discount. Great selection of health foods and organics. There's also a pharmacy, a bulk foods section, fresh fish, the produce seems fresh. Other than normal grocery store fare, they have a canteen, a women's only GoodLife and a pc cooking school!!! With the pc cooking school, you can get a complimentary meeting with the dietician and two follow up meetings. I never actually tried this, but it's a good offering. You can also pick up health info upstairs by the pc cooking school as well as recipes. My favourite class is the what's for dinner class, which costs $10, but you get your $10 back via gift card. Great place to shop, learn how to cook and even workout if you're a lady!

My rating is 3.5 stars…read more After work last Thursday, I wanted to pick up some hand cream for my mom. She had cracked skin on one of her hands for at least a week. The hand cream that she was using wasn't healing a thing. I found one brand that seemed promising while doing some research online. The site said that it was available at this particular Shoppers Drug Mart. The store was conveniently on my way home from work. Then again, I cut across most of the GTA, so I pass by a ton of stores! This store is in a plaza. There seemed to be a Food Basics or some green-painted grocery store that has closed down. Shoppers Drug Mart is in the corner further down. The parking area can be a bit chaotic. It's an older plaza and the lanes are more narrow than what I'm used to in suburbia. This store has been here for a while. It has everything that you'd expect it to have, including a grocery aisle. I walked every aisle and could not find the hand cream that I was looking for, which was disappointing. However, there was a Gold Bond one that was on sale. It has been approved by the Canadian Diabetes Society. It has proven results. It was also on sale. I bought it! I dropped the cream off at my parents' place. My mom said that she would try the hand cream out immediately. This morning, I spoke to my mom. She said that three hours later, she noticed a huge difference. She no longer has cracked hands. Nice! She asked me whether she could pay me back. Hearing her say that this product works is all that I wanted. The lone cashier at this store was friendly and made sure that each customer was okay. She helped out a senior ahead of me. I liked the care that she showed and the help that she gave. I'd come back here again when I'm in the area. (157)

Doesn't matter what it is, it is like a right of passage that on any shopping quest, I MUST first step through it's sacred sliding doors into the soft scents that can only be the cosmetics section (rereading that I think I may need some help......) In all honesty, I do think this is a great retail environment and not only because I seem to always need what shoppers has to offer. They really have it right on the retail environment. The layout is great, the visibility is amazing (it's always the brightest store) and the staff is friendly enough. It has everything and the mix of retail and pharmacy is great...what else are you going to do while waiting for the pharmacist to mix all the magical potions and call on the gods to create that coffee syrup (ok I'm not crazy but sometimes I do wonder why you have to wait for your prescription when the doctor wrote down the exact amount and the type...is it the handwriting they are figuring out...it's got to be so we have to shop around right???)? In any event, I am possessive about this shoppers and glad that I got to review it first. If you're ever in the area, stop by, because I swear this specific shoppers has...everything......

This particular store is large, clean, and has brands like Dior, Clarins, Lancome, Guerlain, and all sorts of pharmaceutical skincare from around the globe. Though the actual footprint of the store isn't as big as their outside ones, the beauty boutique is quite large. At least half the store is dedicated to beauty. I love it personally as the Optimum point reward plan is amazing and I can get high end beauty products at 20x points or free here. The service is always friendly though at times they can be busy and it maybe hard to find someone. I love how they have everything from high end Guerlain to low end Cover Girl. It really meets everyone's needs. They also have a constant stream of sales on their mid to low end skincare. This store also has a Canada Post office in the back and it's really darn convenient and quick. I've never had to wait to mail something and their service is very quick. The food section is tiny but this store isn't geared towards it other than quick gourmet snacks. There's not a lot of granola or low end food products here. Most things here are sugary high end brands like Brookside dark covered blueberries, Lindt Bars, or Godiva bars. I even spotted some Green & Black here too. Their vitamin section is fairly sizeable and perfect for me to grab something to reach the Optimum point limit. The check out service is really good here and stands out. Their front staff is always aware of any line ups and do not hesitate to ask for help to open up another till. They're efficient and fast! It's one of the better Shoppers Drug Marts I've been to... it's clean, well organized, and well stocked.

I'd reckon that it take eights minutes to drive over here. I was already parked by Fresh Co. After I was done getting some groceries there, I walked over to Rexall to check it out. This drugstore is cool. There's a medical centre in the back, on the left. In the middle is the pharmacy. There were two folks staffing it. On the right was the post office. There was a clearance bin full of books. It was cool. Sadly, I couldn't find what I was looking for. I ended up hitting a Shoppers Drug Mart to find the item that I needed. I did like the clearance on Christmas items. This place also has a good cookie section. It had Biscoff, shortbread, and more. I got a box of shortbread that was on sale. It's cool that you get subsets of DAVIDs tea, M&M Meat Shops, Claire's, and Staples merchandise at Rexall. I got the most energetic woman at the checkout. The checkout line feels like a mini maze as you snake over to the counter. I got my Be Well barcode scanned from my Rexall app. I then paid with a credit card. Done! I wished her a good evening. She reciprocated. I walked out with my shortbread. I was happy. It's a decent Rexall. It didn't have the one item that I needed, but I got shortbread. Butter rules. (21)

I immediately went into planning mode to send her off on a cheerful note. Setting up where we were going to eat for her farewell was easy. I had bought the perfect greeting card while I was in the Twin Cities. She is an avid reader. I had pooled funds from our department towards an Indigo gift card. I needed to get the gift card. I was flying back to Toronto from Minneapolis. Had my flight been on time, it would have arrived at 7 pm in Mississauga. By the time I fetched my car from my workplace's parking lot and headed to the nearest Indigo, I would have made it before it closed at 9 pm. My flight was delayed by 1.5 hours. I tossed out plan. Thanks, Air Canada! I always have at least one backup plan. You truly do, especially when Air Canada is a part of it. Plan B was to hit the nearest Shoppers Drug Mart (SDM) and get a gift card. From my workplace, I am fortunate that I have three SDM stores to choose from. However, considering that it was nearly 10 pm, the choice was obvious. I drove over to this one in Rockwood Mall. Why do I love this store already? It's open till midnight. My usual SDM that I frequent closes a lot earlier. I had no problem heading over here. It's roughly a five-minute drive from my workplace. There was plenty of parking available and it was fairly busy on a Tuesday evening. I backed into a parking spot and walked into the store. This store is designed like most SDMs. You walk in and the beauty boutique is right in front of you. I didn't need to focus on my beauty after having travelled back. Okay, maybe I did and I chose not to. I needed a gift card. Luckily, I found the gift cards immediately. They tend to be by the greeting cards. I picked up one and then browsed around the store a bit. I was happy to see Squishmallows. There weren't a lot of them. However, they were so cute that it didn't matter. I looked at vitamins, shampoo, and the food aisles. This store has a nice selection of bread. Maybe the folks in this neighbourhood love carbs. The bread varieties were definitely better than what I get at my local SDM. I lined up to pay. There was only one cashier. Another female staffer came over and said that I could use the self-checkout kiosk. I said that I had a gift card. Could I activate it at a kiosk? She said yes. Cool! In the past, I was always told that a cashier could only specify the amount on a gift card and activate it. This woman was awesome. She stepped me through everything. I loaded $150 on the card and paid with a debit card. Done! I thanked the nice woman. She was great. I headed to my car and drove to a hotel nearby work. It was so late that I opted to say in Mississauga. It would make my commute to the office the next day easier. The gift card worked without a hitch. My friend was ecstatic to get it. All ends that ends well, as the saying goes. I appreciate that this SDM was open. It played a huge part of my planning my friend's parting gift. I'd return when I'm back in the area and need something at this store. The hours and staff are awesome. (365)
