From the underground parking lot, you can use either entrance to get to the business that you want. You can also cross over to the other one when you're inside. The medical clinic has a tiny waiting room. The overflow waiting room is in the corridor to the pharmacy. My mom needed to get an injection for her osteoporosis. We had to get it at the pharmacy next door. It was convenient. The injection medication wasn't cheap. It was $200, but we only needed to shell out for $100, as only half of it was covered by Ontario Health for folks over 65+ taking this medication for the first time. The male pharmacist was knowledgeable and competent. He spoke to us in Cantonese. He said that next year, this shot would be completely covered by Ontario Health. Cool! My dad paid for the medication with cash. He rarely uses his debit card. He got the box of medication and headed to the waiting room. The lab took my mom into a room to administer the shot. It was straightforward. There's a main entrance that faces South Unionville Avenue. During my two-hour wait for my mom to see her doctor, I never saw anyone use that entrance. Everyone seems to park underground and comes in from the parking lot entrance. I'm glad this pharmacy exists. It convenient when you need injection medication to be administered immediately. ALL Shoppers' are way overpriced on their non-sale items BUT this store has a ton of very popular Korean food items, some of which are not even available in Korean stores - for example, Korean salad dressings which I have not seen at my usual Korean stores. Premises are CLEAN here (bonus). The advertised specials were stocked and in abundance. Clearly a well-managed store.

This is just come out of the blue - I had absolutely no idea or expectation I ever owed them money the last 5 months. Each time I get a delivery for medication, I always ask them the amount in advance and I prepare a cheque which the delivery person picks up when they drop off the medication. This has been the system for many YEARS. All of a sudden, they threaten me with legal action if I don't pay, when I always, always, always pay them on delivery. I don't care if the cheque was lost by the delivery driver or whatever. I don't appreciate being told that I never paid when I clearly did (and no, the cheque didn't bounce - there has always been lots of money in this account). I also have the amount logged that I wrote a cheque back in November so they screwed up - it wasn't me. I will never deal with this pharmacy again. I have ZERO tolerance for incompetence these days, especially when people try to pin the problem on me when it was their own incompetence that caused the problem in the first place. I am so sick and tired of people trying to blame me for their own lack of integrity, their own incompetence, their own lack of productivity, etc. If they want to claim they never received a cheque in November, they should have told me then, not 5-6 months later. And god forbid I actually paid them twice today. Never again.

The nurse can also give you vaccinations. They are linked to St. Michael's Hospital. If you have to visit the hospital, the clinic automatically gets results over their computer system. This is a family unit clinic, where your file is shared between the doctor's at the clinic, so any of them can see you under an emergency situation and your doctor is not available. There is a bloodwork clinic in there too. There are social workers covered by OHIP to help you with things like stress. There are dietitians civered by OHIP to help you with nutrition. They also run drop-in clinics after-hours. There is a TV in their waiting room. Starting late 2018, they started allowing email communications. As of Mar 2019, they have expanded into what was Appletree Medical Centre providing them with more rooms for the non-doctor offices. Sometime around 2024, you can book a non-urgent appointment with your doctor, but expect to be booked 3-5 weeks in the future. I've been through ups and downs with this clinic. The family doctor (Dr. Lee Schofield) I had since 2012 started getting worse in customer service after 2018. It got to the point where he was very late and then didn't even show up for appointments! He eventually left the clinic. With bad news came good news. All his patients got transfered to a new doctor, Dr. Margaret Hess. She is beyond excellent! She even won awards during her residency. She will even call you during the weekend to discuss results with you! After the pandemic, when you called, you usually have to wait over 1 hour to speak with someone. Around 2024, the wait time reduced to 5-10 mins. There is a way for a doctor to request info from you over a secure communications channel. There is free WiFi. The clinic is wheelchair accessible. There is one gender-neutral washroom which is also wheelchair accessible. There is paid and free neighbourhood street parking. Review 2025-147

I believe Lauren Massey is her name, and she acts like the Gestapo. I intend to take them to court.

Dr. Barb Smith is the doctor at this establishment. I've been coming here on and off for over 8 years and have been thoroughly satisfied with their services. The office is open concept and the atmosphere natural and friendly. Leslie is usually the attendant you meet upon arrival and she's a real treat as well. Dr. Barb will tailor the service to your specific needs. For instance, I prefer not to have manual neck manipulations, so she uses activator only in that area. Dr. Barb also monitors my knees and ankles for wear & tear from my active joint-cracking lifestyle. She's also got a wealth of knowledge in homeopathic products and nutrition, so don't hesitate to seek her expertise on those fronts if you employ her service. Regular treatments are $40, so hence the three-star review, however I think that may be close to the current industry standard.
