The gentleman who came to do the work did the flooring first? I'm not a contractor but I know to do the flooring last. He did a horrible job with the tile and had unfinished work. They day he said he was leaving, I said I hope you will be back to finish up underneath the window. He said, no I'm completed. There was a 1/2 inch gap between the windowsill and the tile. He was very messy and scratched our Corian countertops. I asked him 2 times to put a tarp down on the countertop while working. Once he left, we reached out to Jenny and we sent pictures and she even came out. She acted like it was no big deal. She said, we will have him come back out to "fix" it. We said no, we want your top guy. And didn't want the same guy coming back out. She agreed to do that. Even the TOP guy that came out made a mess with the grout and WE had to fix things. A year and a half passes and now we get a crack in our wood flooring. We wanted to use a local place and regret every minute of it. Be careful when using Schnaitman's Flooring. Very disappointing for the $ we spent and they weren't even concerned about the work the 1st guy did. Val was great to work with, so that was a positive.

My husband and I initially went to Loews to start the process of remodeling our secondary home and the first two weeks of the process was so painful we had to pull out and cancel everything. We immediately went to Schnaitman's and from day one the entire process was a breeze. They are organized, honest, patient and knowledgeable. Within 2 months we had a new kitchen and new flooring throughout with their team working around our schedule as part timers in PA. Co-owner Jenny was there every step of the way answering every call, text and email in minutes, they have a customer for life in us and we highly recommend.

I then said I had taken off work and their reply was well can't you just go in? I said no either figure it out or refund me. They said they had to reschedule all of us. Eric said impossible..., I said then refund me. Well they did come and do it .., sent people from Their Wilkes-Barre location and they were wonderful. Eric is not customer friendly. I have never interacted with a business as incompetent as this in my life. I thought I called the…read morewrong number when I initially called them because the woman who answered the phone yelled "what" when she picked up. Her tone of voice indicated that she was angry and I got the impression thatshe was irritated by my call. I knew something was wrong from the get-go because of the interaction I just described, but I was quoted a great price for the paint job I needed, which was eight walls in my dining and family rooms. I now think I overpaid because only four of those walls got painted. To be clear, that does not mean one room was finished. No-- three walls in my dining room were painted and one of my four family room walls was painted. I expected the worker to return the next day and finish the job. When he didn't, I called this company back to explain my unfinished paint job and ask when I could expect someone to come out and finish. I'm 98% sure I spoke to the same woman whose bizarre phone behavior is described in the opening paragraph because she was nasty and unreasonable. The woman I spoke with told me it would cost more to get a worker back out to my house. I told her that was ludicrous. I'd already paid and wanted the job finished. The woman told me that she thought it would be a one-day job and that I had to pay more money because it was now a two-day job. The original $350 price I was quoted now ballooned to over a thousand. Not wanting to be left in the lurch, I agreed to pay the remainder of the balance. The same painter returned to my house around an hour later. I think he was drunk. He dropped a can of Glidden paint on my kitchen floor. His reaction to this was explosive laughter. I called the company right back. Guess what-- I was then told they could handle cleanup for an additional $400. I decided to cut my losses and call another nearby business. The other business cleaned up the mess JP Curran Home Remodeling left behind and did a phenomenal job painting my walls. Do not do business with JP Curran Home Remodeling. Everyone there is incompetent. Their business license says they opened in November. I am guessing it's because they operated under another name before that and opened under a new name because they got so many bad reviews. Here's the kicker. When the painter left on the second day, after getting paint all over my kitchen and refusing to clean it up unless I paid more, he ran over one of my sprinklers and broke it. Total nightmare.

They promote lifetime warranty but don't honor it.
