Tom came within hours agreeing to check out my no longer flushing toilet. But also agreed to take a look at my non functioning brake controller. His skills extended to not only my rv appliance/toilet to an automotive issue. After diagnosing and fixing not one but several problems with my toilet more than looked at my Brahe controller. He jacked up my trailer found the broken wires on both wheels and bingo. Everything fixed ... the price although never cheap for mobile rv techs was fair but I feel so much better knowing the rest of my summer is looking good rv wise thanks to Tom's considerable skills. read more

We traveled over 200 miles to see a pop up that was advertised as being in great condition. The outside was ok but the inside was loaded with mold and mildew and had an overpowering smell of mold. We were told that Scotts doesn't clean any used units because they turn them over quick. The oner we looked at is still there after 4 weeks and I doubt any one will want it for $6500. read more

If I could go lower then 1 star I would, salesmen sold me a truck and took out the wrong loan amount in my name then tried to cover it up 2 weeks go by someone lookin for the rest of the money that was missing I then told them I didn't want the truck anymore and they could even keep the trade in (which was already sold with no title) and then told me I had to figure it out with usaa. They gave me absolutely no help and then told me I still owed them 3300 due to the loan for the last truck I traded them. After being out 2k they still have the loan out for the truck I gave back to them while trying to currently sell it when it's loaned out in my name. Idk call me what you want that's a bad place to buy something and I'd rather vote for joe Biden then go there. read more

My bad experience was with the dealership in Manchester. I'm from upstate New York, and I was all set to make the almost 7 hour drive to pickup an enclosed Mission single place snowmobile trailer. Everything was going smoothly until I was informed I had to pay Maine sales tax. I contacted my NYS DMV office and they stated I should only pay NYS tax. Sent dealership said information and they canceled the deal. apparently dealership is involved in some shady shenanigans. be careful. read more

They have plenty to sell you on! But can't service anything they sell. Bought a new 40,000 dollar camper to sleep in one night and have water dripping on my face while sleeping. The water stained the mattress. Still hasn't came out to winterize the camper. I been calling since 2nd week of October. I have all the voicemails with reasons could not show up. After they forgot me the first scheduled date we had. Definitely would of went somewhere else if I knew service was like this. Hopefully we can get this winterized before pipes freeze. read more

Wish I could give this place a zero. Talked to Brett yesterday, he sent me a few photos of enclosed trailers that I was looking for. Told him I would be up to see them in person in the morning and he said see you then. I arrived around 11am and went to the trailer yard to look. Nobody asked if they could help so I sent Brett a text and told him I was in the trailer yard. he came down and showed me the trailers that he sent me in pics. I decided on the one I want. I asked if I could place a down payment to hold it for me and he said sure we usually take a $500 deposit. I told him I would put down half which was $3000 and the rest when I come back to get it. we went to the office to finalize the deal and he said someone called a hour ago and are on there way to look at it and possibly buy it. I asked if they had a down payment on it and was told no. so I said what's the issue then I'm here and if I have to pay full cost right now I will. He was all flustered and didn't know what to do. so I walked out. after reading all the other reviews about the owner wanting to fight people I couldn't believe someone would do business like that. just wish he was there when I was and pulled that with me. DO NOT BUY A CAMPER HERE!!!!!!! All they care about is a quick sale. We bought a nice pop-up camper from here less than a month ago and due to family reasons, decided we need to trade it in for a bigger camper for our growing family. Found a nice used camper we wanted to trade and they told us we could get just about what we paid initially for the pop-up only to find that when we were ready to buy this camper it had damage to it. They will not fix it and had no idea it was damaged. Luckily we did not buy it but the rudeness that the customer service and sales people have shown us is out of this world. They only care about taking your money and that is it!!!! So want to share an update to this review. Bought a boat from Scott's and two salesmen told us it had been through their shop. We took the boat out once on a test drive and then once after the purchase. The second time, the motor did not sound right so we took it to a reputable boat repair person and was told the motor was no good. So we reached out to Scott's and they offered to buy the boat back for less than what we paid. This made me mad so I posted some bad reviews. At this point, they read the reviews and now they refuse to work with us. We are now stuck with an $8000 boat with a crap motor and no recourse. Unfortunately, this puts me in a financial bind. I hope others read this tale and are careful dealing with Scott's Recreation. The $3500 to fix the motor would be a drop in the hat for this business man. Instead of making it right, he screamed at my partner to get off his lot and stated he is suing us for libel. I had spent hours walking Scott's lot looking for a camper and I know in a few years I will be buying one but not from this company. I will tell everyone I know not to do business there. Michael Paul in the last week Worst big ticket buying experience ever. Lug nuts were loose on the camper I purchased from them. Made it 27 miles from the dealership in manchester when I noticed the wheel was about to fall off. Had two broken studs and two bent ones. Lug nuts were loose on the other wheel as well. When I went to visit the owner to complain about the whole experience from start to finish he ordered me off his property and wanted to fight me. Kept winding his arm back indicating he wanted to hit me. What a piece of shit. Now I know where the people who work for him get their attitudes. The worst RV service in Maine. They can't wait to sell an RV, but the service department is horrific; even for warranty items.. Do yourself a favor and take the time to go somewhere else, to a dealer that cares about customers AFTER the sale. If you don't, you only have yourself to blame. This is one busy little service center! We dropped our camper off at 8:00 a.m. to have the brakes checked but they didn't get around to it until 12:30 p.m. Once they got started, it only took an hour for the job. There were trucks and trailers moving in and out and around the center almost constantly. The forklift operator has a magical touch in maneuvering all that equipment around without bumping into anything. The staff is very friendly. read more

Well, we were in Maine on a mini vacation. I was aware of Scott's Recreation & their great work & prices on trailers. My wife wasn't thrilled but we stopped to check out a needed utility trailer. My salesman Pete did a great job! We checked out all my idea's on various trailers on the lot. The single most awful experience ever ! The lying was blaten and multiple . To begin with we drove 3 hours only to then be told they were not honoring the final numbers that were sent to us . When trying to discuss the situation I was addressed with a very disrespectful and aggressive owner . Never in my life have I seen business addressed this way . I believe the sales manager made mistakes and was just not going to own it . When the owner was asked to join in I believe he just had this additude to defend his sales man Matt . Even when it was finally verbally admitted to the numbers ( only because it was on the paper in his hand ) they both still lacked the integrity to follow thru with what was agreed apon . Matt also told us he put a tv in the rv , and at this point knew we couldn't take his word on it .we checked ,it wasn't there and again had to make him follow us to show him that he didn't . There's much more but I hope you have the idea . I will leave you with ,the owner , yes the owner told my husband he would not deal with me and to keep me in the truck . Yup u read correctly ! Buyer beware, I purchased a RV, and the sales department was extremely helpful. When the RV was delivered 11/00/2013 several issues were found. They promised me they would come out and correct the issues. Well I am still waiting for the repairs. When I spoke to the owner trying to get some support, I was yelled at spoken over, and still today nothing. They couldn't even give me a plan, with a general time frame to fix this. Over 130 emails, phone calls, visited their location still nothing more than a promise. This is the short version, it was way worse than I made this review sound. read more
