Ajilo Fish

Everything is so good especially the service with Guillermo (best server). Food was amazing--ajilo fish, campechana cocktail, steak & eggs, pina collada & margarita. Best prices for gourmet food. Nice ocean view.

Ceviche

Came here with a group of 13. All the food was tasty and people especially liked the ceviche! The seafood platter had so much food! We split a couple platters and only a few people got full entrees, but we felt like we had plenty of food! We took tequila shots, enjoyed the music, and had a great night!

Our first visit here in Rocky Point. Our dining experience here at Sr. Amigo was excellent. We had a nice server. His name is David. My son wanted to know if they served Coke from a bottle. My son has never drank Coke from a classic bottle and he wanted to take one home as a souvenir. But the restaurant only served it in cans. However, David went next door and bought a bottle of Coke and surprised our son. My son was happy and brought the bottle home. So should you ever dine here, ask for the server David. He'll take good care of you. Very very nice guy.

Best waiter EVER: William

It's as oceanfront as you can get & on the outdoor addition, at low tide, it's actually OVER the ocean. The location on the Malecon is great & the food pretty darn good & reasonably priced. Their secret weapon, however, is their waitstaff led by Guillermo (William). He's hard working, charming & attentive. Every guest feels like they're part of his extended family & the most important client in the restaurant. We've followed him for almost 23 years & I'm pretty sure there are many others who have as well!!

Regular margarita, yes please

Armando the server was super awesome! The food was fresh and delicious! The view was amazing ocean front!

Coconut shrimp that gave me food poisoning. So fun when you pay good money for food that shreds your intestines!

We tried this out on the recommendation of a friend. It was dead on a Tuesday night and so we were seated immediately. I ordered the coconut shrimp with the blue Hawaiian drink. The drink came out quickly, but I was not given a straw which seemed strange for a frozen drink? I ended up spilling a quarter of it down my shirt cause the entire drink came sliding at me. Despite being the only people in the restaurant our food took practically a half hour to get out to us, but this is not even the worst part. The shrimp was alright, but the day following my ENTIRE group had THE WORST food poisoning I've ever experienced. All four of us ran a fever, had aches and pains, terrible bloating, and several bouts of vomiting. Needless to say I will NOT be returning as I see no point in paying for food that is going to prevent me from eating for the next 48hrs.

Breakfast tacos

Great location, right in the middle of the boardwalk area. Plenty of seating inside or out. Beach views and ocean air and breeze. Great photo ops. The food was excellent. Loved it. Mexican food on a tropical setting. TVs were running American football (it was a Sunday afternoon) so that was really cool. Service was excellent....excellent. We had a full breakfast for two people....it was $17. Great prices.

Shrimp ceviche

The food was great during the lunch hours! The shrimp tacos were great and very fresh (lots of red cabbage on top but I picked that off). The shrimp ceviche was excellent and chips/guacamole were very tasty! Our serve Memo was excellent!

Seafood plater.

I visited during the off-season, so it wasn't busy at all. There was plenty of tables along the beach to pick. My group enjoyed our food and drinks. The service was also nice. The views are worth visiting at least once. Manny's is right on the beach and you can walk out to the water as well. People selling items do come up to the tables and will call out to you to grab your attention. The sunset was perfect during dinner and we even saw some dolphins. We'd come back for the convenience, but we'd perhaps only eat there once per trip due to the overall cost.

The food - American bar food is how I'd describe it. Pizza, wings, nachos, etc The pool - they used to have a swim up bar but it wasn't open on this last visit, not sure if that's permanent but you can sit in the pool and listen to the bands or stare out at the ocean. Sometimes there are kids doing cannonballs and other times it's just chill. The music- an electic bunch of cover bands and dj's play the hits around a big dance floor.. sometimes there's dancing when there's a fun group in the house. The drinks - all the classics, beer, mixed and blended drinks The space - there are multiple seating areas, indoor, outdoor, under the palapa, under the covered bar area, around the pool, closer to the beach under umbrellas, around the dance floor and of course there are bar swings !! They do not price their drinks/shots in pesos they will charge you American Dollars. For example, one shot was 7$ which is the norm, and another shot was 12$. Compared to the other bars next door this was the bar that charge the most for shots/drinks. However staff was very nice, and it had a beautiful view of the ocean. They had a DJ, a tattoo parlor inside, swing sets at the bar, pool table and a slide that I heard broke a persons ankle that same day, if you are intoxicated don't go down that slide, but if you're brave, go for it. I've gone down the slide myself but luckily I had a friend at the other end who assisted in my landing lol.

Shark Bite is *that* bar with the slide in it!…read more The entrance is a staircase, and the exit is a slide. A literal playground slide. It is probably the stupidest idea ever, but what really matters is that after a couple rounds of "Coconut Water" it will briefly feel like a stroke of genius. Please note that no actual coconuts were harmed in the process of producing "Coconut Water". It's just 3 shots of vanilla vodka, blue curacao, and sprite. Anyway, the diversions don't end with one mere gimmick--the bar seating is made of swings, not seats. The balcony has a dance floor. And there's a billiards table upstairs. Every corner of this spot is designed for some sort of activity, and every drink would violate American liquor laws. This might be the most underrated club in Penasco.

The ambience is good, similar to a small Buffalo Wild Wings. The service is excellent. Kudos to Erik and Mario, most lately, who've attended to us most lately. But we stop in mostly for some American/Mexican style food. Skip: The Pizza. It's not tossed here. Nuf Said. Takeout? Always a disappointment. In full disclosure, we only did it once. Maybe's: The Wings. I asked Erick if could get Wings naked with Parmesan. They were plentiful, meaty and liberally coated with Parmesan. I've ordered the same since, and they were good, but not quite the same. I suppose experiences depend on the employees that shift. The Onion Rings: The Rings aren't made in-house. They're frozen, in exact shapes. The Best: The Guacamole Burger is excellent. There's something about Sonoran Beef even when made Medium to Well (not our preference). But the Burger is constructed well with just the right amount of Guac. Arrachera Quesadillas: These Big Flour Tortilla Diamonds are filled with Monterey Jack Cheese and very tender, small cubes of Carne Asada. The Guac Burger and Quesadillas are a sure thing. Btw, the Fries that normally accompany the Burgers are definitely sliced in-house with skins, and are hot and seasoned well We recommend paying tabs with a card or with pesos while the exchange rate is favorable Typically, our food and 2-3 glasses of wine =$US38

The waiter came out and said I'm sorry it'll be another 20 minutes the thing that's surprising is we were the only customers, I can't understand why it would take an hour to get my food. My grandson who ate here once before and thought their hamburger was the best in the world wanted to come back here because the patty he had last time was thick and handmade and very flavorful this burger Was what looked like out of a package you get at Costco with the frozen patties it had no flavor was overcooked, and the bacon was raw. The french fries were overcooked had no flavor and were terrible. My shrimp tacos were cold. They used to come out with some sauce and beans and rice and you had three big tortillas with a lot of shrimp. These were tiny little tortillas with some minimum shrimp their prices are jacked up really high now and then something we found out that not only this place is doing but a lot of others in Rocky Pointe is they're giving you a menu with prices in dollars and then when you get your bill, they convert into pesos at a higher peso rate so you're paying another 10% more than actual price. When are the businesses in this town going to understand they're driving the tourist away. It's getting more expensive to dine out in Rocky Pointe than it is in the United States. The food was terrible today. The waiter tried to make lots of excuses. He was a very nice guy, but this place will be lucky to stay in business if they keep up these practices and poor Service
