This is the medium sized dinning area, very cozy feeling!

Had breakfast her this morning, service was 5 star, food 3 stars, came back later for the football game in the bar area, Perfect experience! Service, munchies and drinks were fast and priced right! Cool little divey bar!

I don't even know what to say, other than this was the worst lodging experience my family has ever had. We had to scramble to make a reservation, as our original Leavenworth plans had to change. This was the only place we could find. When my husband made the reservation, he asked for a confirmation number. Apparently, this place doesn't provide those, or confirmation emails. This should have been a red flag. They also don't have cribs for babies, which in itself is not a deal breaker, but the first time we've experienced this. Within the first couple of minutes of entering our room, the manager came in, needing to check a broken light in the room. He didn't fix it, but rather just offered free dinner. Well, we already had plans so that didn't do much. The thermostat and heater were also broken. However, we didn't find this out until about 8pm, too late to go anywhere else. All we had was a small space heater that we found in the closet. Did I mention it got down to 20 degrees that night and we had a 1 year old with us? The room Was FREEZING. Fast forward to 9:30pm, when our neighbors started thumping around their room, playing loud music. We could hear and feel all the vibrationsthe beds were rock hard, the blankets were basically a second set of sheets, and the room smelt of sulfur. Never, ever again will we come back to the Squirrel Tree.

Squirrel Tree is a hotel with 6 guest rooms which are newly renovated from top to bottom. The best thing is that you will also find a cozy restaurant and bar that serve excellent food of big portions. Unlike your typical Leavenworth hotels, it's a short 20 mins scenic drive from town towards Fish Lake resort and Lake Wenatchee State Park.

Pretty yummy burger and fries
Laiha C.

Great burger, actually. I got the mushroom burger with onions and provolone, I believe. It was pretty delicious and you got a big side of crispy fries. Price was average, like Red Robin pricing. Atmosphere was to be expected, complete with paintings of the woods and wild animals. A bit run down but I guess that added to the charm. We stayed at the 59'er diner cabins so it was in the perfect location for us. It wouldn't be my first choice, but we'd go again without fear. Also, they had a living wage tax added to the bill (we had to look up what that was) so just something to be aware of.

Small place, fried food only after 8.

This place really wasn't worth stopping at. Would have been better to grab dinner from the gas station next door. Service was insanely slow and actually almost non-existent. We didn't get silverware, napkins, refills. There were only two food options when we got there, fried chicken strips or fish and chips with fries. After we finished we didn't get the bill, after ten minutes I went to the bar to get the bill. It took her ten minutes to bring it to us and even though we were ready to pay she didn't take it. I went to the bar again and waited and was finally able to pay. I don't think the bad service was her fault, but management should know better than to leave one person to take care of a busy bar and diner! The place is very small with a small bar which was full of customers and the 5 tables were almost all occupied. The one good thing was the juke box that had a lot of music options. It was fun to listen to the crazy mix of music selected by the various folks eating and drinking at the bar.

We had huge portions and friendly service. The place is clean and the food was yummy! Great history to look at and fish tank for the little kids to check out.

The pups found a comfortable spot on the lawn while waiting for the parents to eat breakfast.

(an obvious courtesy they don't have to extend). The receptionist kindly stated the obvious that they needed the 2-3 hours for turn over.. You know how they should address your problem? You check out of the room by 11 and the hotel by 11... there your problem is solved. Please don't embarrass us Romanians like that next time and listen to your wife about not being rude to staff (this was when we were in the sauna and you just couldn't seem to stop talking)... I tried so hard not to pay attention to you but you couldn't help but draw attention to yourself. Next time please be quieter or just don't talk at all. I know this is embarrassing for you. Everything at this hotel is EXCELLENT as usual. The only thing that made it less excellent was your complaining. I can already see the future, you calling the hotel to complain about my review because I'm 100% sure you're about to post a complaint and will stumble upon this... please when you call to complain to the hotel about my review, will you let them know you're the short Romania man that I'm talking about...... who complained about having to check out of the room and still being allowed to use the amenities. Salute. Pool staff is excellent, they stay very professional and have classy behavior. The only time we've had issues at the pool is when there are needy guest. They draw so much attention to themselves when we're just trying to relax. Thankfully it's only been a few of the times we've been there. These people usually strike me as those less fortunate in spirit and at the bank. It's clear they over extended their bank account and are trying to milk it for every cent. I wish I could tell them to just go home but that would be giving them the attention they desperately seek.. and I'm sure would cause the staff more issues. Reception and dinning staff also excellent. They are very professional and kind. I've gotten so used to coming here I hate to say I have forgotten some of the formalities like waiting to be seated in the dinning room but the staff didn't make me feel bad for it. I was just very embarrassed. Thank you again for a wonderful stay. I wish I could take this hotel home with me every time I leave.

Stunning Spa Experience with Unacceptable $1,000/Night Customer Service…read more Our recent stay at the Posthotel Leavenworth was a mix of absolute luxury and frustrating neglect. While the amenities live up to the high reputation, the customer service for room issues falls incredibly short for a luxury resort. The Good: Spa and Dining The property itself is gorgeous, and the spa facilities are truly amazing. The aromatic rooms were the absolute highlight of my trip and incredibly relaxing. The food options were also fantastic, with the lunch menu being a standout. If you are going strictly for the wellness facilities and dining, it is a dream. The Bad: Room Maintenance and Ignored Requests Unfortunately, our experience was heavily tarnished by a broken TV and non-existent service. The physical volume on our room's Samsung TV was blown out and stuck at 100%. This caused the audio on the hotel app to be completely static-filled and entirely unwatchable. Paying over $1,000 a night, you expect prompt service. Instead, I asked staff members about five separate times to simply bring a remote to turn the master volume down. Every single request was ignored. The front desk and maintenance staff were completely unhelpful and never followed up or acknowledged the issue. We had to deal with this for both nights of our stay. Verdict After talking to others, I learned that this is a pattern: maintenance issues at this property are routinely ignored or promised a fix that never happens. While the Posthotel excels in relaxation and food, their hospitality and problem-solving are unacceptable at this price point. Beautiful facilities do not make up for ignoring your guests.

What we didn't know was what a special place Kathy and Brad had created for their guests. Our adventure started once we headed up a gravel road. At first, we thought we'd take a wrong turn - but no sooner that thought than a sign on a tree, "Mountain Home Lodge 2.2miles." We knew we were on the right track. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Sierra and Millie, the MHL doggies. Brad came out with Carlos to say hi, ask if we needed anything- and loaded up our things to take to the cabin. Brad made sure we knew how the things worked, turned on the music, and left us to settle in. The cabin was perfect! Chairs in front of the fireplace, fluffy king-sized bed, large jacuzzi tub, rocking chairs and table on the porch, and a comfy couch in the loft to watch a movie. Small details were not missed - light toiletries, kurieg, and coffee. Blankets on every chair inside and out and plenty of towels. Did I mention the water pressure was awesome!? Around 5:30, we headed to the Lodge for appetizers prepared by Kathy- squash soup shots with crustini, cream cheese, strawberries, and a balsamic glaze. The view was amazing while we munched on our goodies. Kathy and Brad are so friendly and full of easy conversation. After appetizers, we headed back to our cabin and played a couple round of chess - the upstairs hutch had a few games for us to play. We fired up the jacuzzi tub and enjoyed a drink while basking in the mountain. Millie and Sierra stopped by to say goodnight, which we loved being dog people. We sat on the porch with them and watched the sky change from light to dark. In the mornings, there is a delightful breakfast offered. Everything was delicious. Kathy and Brad made lovely recommendations for things to do and food to eat. We were considering a hike, and millie and Sierra offered to come along. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for a hike- but we will definitely go with them next time! While we ate breakfast in the lodge, we decided to check out the mountain with the binoculars. I think my husband spent most of his time peering at the mountain with the binoculars at the Lodge and cabin. But like I said, the small touches make this place special. It's definitely a wonderful place to unplug. The quiet, views, and accommodations are amazing. I'm so happy to add Mountian Home Lodge to our not so far- feels like a real vacation getaways.

We JUST got home from MHL…read more My husband and I stayed two wonderful nights there, perched up on the mountain, away from the hustle and bustle of the Oktoberfest celebration going on downtown, but still close enough to walk in or take a cab (we did both) when we wanted to get in on the fun. As parents of a 3 year old and a 1 year old, we have not felt this relaxed in a LONG time. Brad and Kathy have thought of literally everything. Need a wine opener? No problem. Champagne chiller? You got it. Trail maps, walking sticks, snow shoes, movies to watch, games to play.... no problem. It's all there for guests to borrow. We stayed in the Mountain Trout room, which was nicely appointed with a queen bed, super plush carpet, comfy robes, oversized towels, and really nice sheets. As we were lucky enough to squeeze in after someone else canceled, we didn't get our pick of a room, but we didn't mind at all. Included in our rate was a healthy and delicious breakfast made by the lodge chef, using many ingredients harvested from the property. We were also treated to complimentary appetizers and wine in the evenings. It was divine. Brad and Kathy take great pride in the lodge and love to share their knowledge of the local area, from where to have dinner or where to hike. Like another reviewer said; nothing feels fake. You feel like a welcomed guest in a very comfortable setting, and you leave feeling like you have made new friends. A nice touch was the balloons that were in our room upon our arrival. They knew we were there for an anniversary and this was a very sweet gesture. We also found a small bottle of port waiting for us in our room each evening. A typical day was waking up, enjoying the lovely breakfast and views, chatting with the hosts and other guests, hiking the trails immediately behind the lodge (We did the Peshastin Lookout; approximately 5 miles RT and spectacular) with the resident dog "Millie", coming back for a soak in the outdoor hot tub, then walking or driving into downtown for shopping, dinner (if not eating at the lodge), or Oktoberfest shenanigans, then back to the lodge for a game of cards in the media room. Repeat. We would come back to MHL a million times over. 5 stars all the way around. Thank you so very much!

The pictures on the website do not do any justice to how beautiful this place is, NONE!! Keep in mind, the ambience of this Inn is part of Leavenworth so don't expect it to be completely modernized or contemporary. The staff were very nice and friendly. Always smiled as we passed through. The amenities available during your stay, was great! There are many more things available/ additional areas to this place that I didn't access during my stay. The dinning area is very clean and large with many windows to view the back of the property as well as, the snow capped mountains. The rooms are quite big and bathrooms are huge. Both very clean! The beds and pillows were soooo comfortable. In the room, there are ACs and a door that leads to a small balcony with a patio table and chairs for the outer rooms. This area isn't a personal-ish space because there are no walls separating the other rooms and during our stay, we did not experience other patrons utilizing this access to enter nor exit therefore It wasn't an issue for us at all. The upper floors have access to the stairs going up or down to the parking stalls. I, personally, did not feel it was a security issue at all. No noise issue at all as well, very quiet and peaceful. I was able to checkout the family/game room and it is large with everything they say is available. There was nothing impersonal about this space even though It's a shared space. The 2 lounge areas make you feel like you are at home. We actually sat in the lounge area on the second floor to relax and figure out where we were going for dinner. I've seen families having lunch and others just doing their thing. The lounge areas were kept clean. Couches were comfortable too. We were in walking distance to the promenade and never felt unsafe. In summary, I really needed much RRR and the Enzian Inn did it for me!! Everything was perfect!! All that I experienced here, was intentional and I felt important. Thank you, Enzian Inn, for a wonderful experience and accommodations! Note: Our time spent here, was at the end of February 2026.

Well I'm unimpressed thus far with cleanliness. Finding not little but a lot of black hairs all…read moreover the main bathroom floor was gross. But the pile of hairs in the toilet was nasty. Totally gross. But the worst had yet to come. The towels literally smelled like mildew. My poor son, 6 1/2 and already exhausted because we'd driven for 7 plus hours and then all food options were eliminated by the late arrival, with only a microwave meal I figured a nice warm shower would help him relax before bed. Well he sadly looked at me and said "mama this towel smells really bad." And WOW it did. Then I was the lucky recipient of the next stinky towel. It was so bad I didn't even wipe myself off. I used the ONE washcloth that didn't stink to dry myself off. When we went to use the coffee machine the filter was dirty and the machine full of coffee grounds. It took me 3 cycles of 6 cups of water to get water to come through clean. How it was not simple enough to clean a coffee machine is beyond me. Our initial arrival we were greeted to a tower of trash and Rubbermaid bins WTF? When we called to ask about it they said they'd take care of it right away. At 12:30 am when we went to bed, it was all stillthere Day 2 we bought detergent to wash them because no one wants a knarly towel to dry off from the shower with. After washing them they're like new. But what a huge pain!!! For cleanliness they get a 2.5/5 from me. A bathroom is the second place you want REALLY clean aside from your bed. And then the kitchen. The beds were fine (a bit old and "springy") but I could have slept on the floor I was so tired. The bathroom should definitely have been mopped and properly cleaned. And I wouldn't have left a dirty coffee machine either. However, the ability to cook your own food 5/5 especially since it's slim pickings and terrifically long lines here for most places. The sledding hills at the property 5/5 because it's fluffy and clean snow. And great sledding. Assigned parking per unit 5/5 because it's easier to have "your" space than have to figure it out or fight for parking. Proximity to "downtown" is 2/5 if you've got kids OR if it's this much snow. It wouldn't be easy or safe to walk with kids with the amount of ice there is out and loads of snow. All in all, I give it a 3 since the value is there. Next time I know to bring cleaning products to make sure it's up to snuff.

The staff were wonderful, the location is great and the view is beautiful. Will go back again soon!read more

Accommodations: Perfect Bed and Breakfast place with only 7 guest rooms (all the rooms are upstairs but one). The rooms are very quiet, no noise from foot traffic in the lobby or hallways, or young uns. The room decorations are exactly as you see them on their website. Large comfortable bed with warm fluffy pillows and comforters. We were very fortunate to stay at two different rooms during our stay. The Almorosen and Dornroschen with both very different and unique feel. Waking up every morning standing on the balcony with fresh coffee overseeing the snow on the valley and nearby mountains was magical. Breakfast: How do I describe it other than seeing every photos posted does not do it justice. It was very German theme and man it was so delicious !! After walking around town there's always late treats (cake, pastry or cookies) waiting for you in the kitchen to have with a variety of tea or coffee. They also have an area with a giant fireplace and piano you can relax. There are Christmas trees everywhere (bedroom, eating area, relaxing lobby and stairway leading upstairs) fully decorated with lights. Every thing about the decorations, food served was very European (German). Service: First class service everyday. If you needed privacy or room cleaned you got it, always fresh thick towels with a warm bathrobe waiting in closet. The proprietor (Hayley) I hope was her name was super friendly and gave a little history about Abendblume and the town of Leavenworth. Staff was very helpful as previously mentioned. By far this was THE BEST Bed and Breakfast Place we have ever stayed. Every attention to details (inside the building and outside) was well thought out with a German theme. That happened 12 times in the 5 days we were there.

High price for less than stellar accommodations. We were there (two adults) in Dec. just before…read moreChristmas. We waited too long to book at our favorite place. The only other place we found to be a dog friendly hotel with a vacancy was Sleeping Lady Lodge. We spent two nights for 500/night plus an additional 50/night for an under 10 pound dog. Be prepared to use a cart provided to get your stuff from the parking lot to your room, about 200 yards round trip for us. You get a map at check-in and there are a couple of maps along the trails to help you find your room. Pool appeared locked and the "Grotto" bar closed. You can grab a small cup of coffee at the office. If you want your room cleaned each day, they ask that you call and let them know. Run out of the four, one-cup Nescafé coffee pods they supply? You have to call them before 7am the next morning or come pick up what's left at the office. They tasted terrible to me. They do provide an electric teapot so if you bring instant coffee or tea, you can make your own. There is a small fridge but no microwave. No TV either, but that was okay with us. There is a broom so you can sweep your own floor. This time of year you will track in sand from the walkways if you come inside with your shoes on. Our room had a double bed and a twin. Down comforters on both but the beds were not very comfortable. On site breakfast buffet was an additional 25 per person when it's free at many other hotels in town. This is a nice place if you don't mind a rustic cabin type room with rickety furniture. Good water pressure and heat. Loved the heating rack in the bathroom to warm towels or dry clothing. No fan in bathroom so it gets humid in there if you shower or bathe and can be stinky if you...well, you know. Tub/shower/toilet in bathroom. Sink and mirror in sleeping area. Minimal seating (old swivel chair and lounge chair.) If you want a McDonalds-like egg McMuffin, coffee and/or a pastry for breakfast there is a little coffee shop by the main road. Otherwise, plan to drive 4 miles into town. Ditto for lunch and/or dinner. Bottom Line: You're not coming here to pay for the service or upscale accommodations (though you wouldn't know it from the price.) You're paying for the quiet, woodsy atmosphere the place provides, the dark sky at night, and the mountain surroundings which are beautiful.

Seeing an old hotel kept in this immaculate condition is awesome "maintenance" Mandy is one of those people that will make your whole trip feel more magical, either Mandy or Donna were serving up a lovely breakfast that we grew very accustomed to, and I am finding that to be the hardest part to leave behind. The only reason I can't give this place five stars is because Leavenworth has a tremendous amount of light pollution with all of the Christmas lights and unfortunately, the drapes in the church rooms do not extend to the ceiling so the room does not get dark. I suggest you bring a sleeping mask earplugs too because the trash trucks come through the Alleyway very early in the morning. lastly the bed was softer then we prefer but i understand it's a preference.

Wonderful location in the center of town made it easy to walk back to the hotel multiple times a day. Safe free parking. Well themed rooms and authentic breakfast. If I have to put a negative- street noise early hours is pretty loud with the trucks doing deliveries around town and the windows aren't well insulated. Really not a problem though.
