We had an OLD house....to call it a fixer is kind. The owner, a relative, passed on from dementia and had been unable to care for it. His will stated we sell the home and the sale proceeds would be passed on to his heirs. I stood in the place wondering how I would ever find someone willing to take it on. I found some great reviews on a real estate website for Sean Glaze and called him. Despite the condition of the home he felt confident he could sell it. He is a highly motivated individual, and he did find a buyer - and not a flipper - someone who really wanted a house like this to make their own with lots of TLC. That old house now has a family who will love it and who I hope will have many happy years there. He also has a great understanding of the area and what a property will sell for. He gave us a figure in advance and the sales price was close to what he quoted, only higher :) I would like to add that I was a co-trustee on my relative's will, meaning that Sean had to work with the other co-trustee during the sale, and we are each in different locations. This meant a lot of dual communication. We are also both disabled and don't drive so getting us to a single location to get things done was a challenge. He was never impatient with us about any of this and in fact during a crisis where I had to get official papers to escrow and could not, sent someone to come and get them for me. The site was not accepting any applications so I called. It took forever to navigate the system and when I finally spoke to Charlotte she had no idea what was going on. She said the house was already rented out. So why ask for my info? A different guy called my husband and didn't even know the house had been rented, and when my husband told him the guys just said we could apply for another. I was Very disappointed to find out they Never checked up on my property The result was,t h e renters Kicked holes in the walls broke 5 window screens so they could get inside broke a bed room door,not Once did they clean the house. ..All this could have been prevented is Squire Reality have made stops to check Up on the house like they told me they would. I have the house in Great Condition for the renters to move in,took me awhile to fix the house back up...I had no choice but to find another property management firm..So far they have made to trips to check up on the house and taking pictures,SOMETHING CHARLOTTE GLAZE NEVER DID.! Against my better judgment we rented from these people in Azusa, Ca. Other than dog shit in the grass everyday and no operational windows this place was mediocre at best. We put in an application for another place which requires our past record with Squire Realty, which is pristine not one late or missed payment. In typical office slob fashion Sean Glaze makes excuses on how much he has to do, and he will get to it when he feels like it. It's the end of the month and I'd like to leave before the first. So I call back the next day and still the same excuse. This guy was literally refusing to do his job. I told him I would call the authorities for intentionally holding our information hostage in order to get another rent payment from us (extortion), and he said I threatened him and hung up on me. How is calling the authorities a threat if you are doing nothing wrong? Hire a secretary cheap ass! My husband goes down there and is asked to leave immediately. My guess is because my husband is a dark complexioned Mexican guy. I can't imagine him treating a white family looking to buy a house with him the way he has treated us. Looked them up on the BBB no rating (Which means they paid to have those reviews removed). I put in a complaint with the California Real Estate Board. Sean is a real piece of work, lazy, rude, and possibly racist. Don't expect him to treat you like a person if you aren't white or rich. I'm sure he will respond to this review with excuses as he has with all the other negative reviews. However, based on the few other reviews it does appear Sean has a pattern of treating people horribly. The positive ones must be his family or friends he paid to write something nice. Renter Beware! If you rent for Sean and Squire Realty expect to receive little to none of your security deposit back. They will find every excuse to bill you for many items including those that fall in the "general wear and tear" that can not be deducted from my security deposit. I was charged for smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a general "materials and supplies" charge with no description of what it was used for and what materials were purchased, and other charges that had absolutely no bill or receipt which is REQUIRED when they deduct it from my deposit. The apartment I rented was super close to Target and the Metro Rail in Azusa. I rented the apartment for 2 years from Squire Realty. During my time there I was more in contact with their staff Sean. He as straight forward person. The Realty is always ready to help. You gotta have patience but they will take care of any needs by their maintenance crew Mike & Mike. I would rent from this Realty again and you should strongly consider them too.
