We sorta came across this place looking for quality cigars on a golf trip I took a few months back. Squire's is situated in a little strip mall that seems to be under quite a bit of construction. If you drive too fast, you actually might pass it. Upon entering, you are fully aware of where you are at with the aromatic smells of the thousands of cigars that have in stock. There's a great selection of cigars from inexpensive to your more higher end stuff. They also sell accessories there like, cigar holders, humidifiers, smoking gifts, and an array of other trinkets. There is a smoking area too if you just can't wait to light one of your prizes you just bought. They have a few leather couches that were occupied when I was there. Everyone seems very nice and knowledgeable at this business and were willing to answer any questions I had. PROS: Selection Service CONS: More expensive than online, but you pay for the experience. read more

Squire is my go to place for gifts for my husband. They have such an extensive collection of cigars, humidors, cutters and accessories. No matter who helps me they are knowledgeable and always steer me in the right direction. The shop is located in a cool strip mall where they have beer, wine tasting and food. You could basically stay there all afternoon! read more

Good selection of smokeables, friendly people, kept very clean, comfortable leather chairs for relaxing, big screen TV, people playing cards... What's not to love about this place? My only wish is that there were more places like Squire! read more

Squire has been my favorite cigar shop since we used to huddle into the small shop located INSIDE the Coddingtown Mall for the cigar events, a bunch of cigar lovers, all smoking cigars and filling the shop with smoke and wondering "Just how long can this go on?" Well, it went on a lot longer than I thought it could, but now The Squire has evolved into a very cool smoke shop with a huge selection of great cigars that has been honed to perfection by owner Linda Squires, who is about as knowledgeable about great cigars as anyone I know of. Her husband has been working as a sales rep for major cigar companies for a long time and she has soaked up a lot of info over the years, not to mention some very good connections in the industry, and that boils down to a selection that includes some very hard to find smokes as well as some great reps dropping in for tasting events and giveaways that really rock! (I won a Daniel Marshall humidor while she was still at Coddingtown Mall!) All in all, The Squire is about the best place around to buy and enjoy your cigars (in the well outfitted smoking lounge that fills the store) with others who share your love of a good cigar. Linda Squires' cigar shop is as good as it gets in Sonoma County and beyond! read more

So I gotta update my review. I was new to the area and I checked this spot out for get away time to fire up my cigar vice. It was OK at first but now that I come twice a week I realize it's perfect. I'm pretty low key and just do my thing and that's what it's about in there. Pretty much a bunch of regulars every time. Lots of talking if you want or just none, whatever you need. Chairs, TV, smokes what really else do you need when the chicks aren't around right. People come by even if they ain't smoking too just to hang a bit. It's a great spot for sure. Humidor is always perfect, huge selection. read more

I wonderful visit, the owner was very gracious and helpful. Location was next to a great restaurant. A wonderful time!

This place is fantastic! We just stopped in to buy some cigars as a gift for a wedding and the woman working was totally wonderful. She helped us pick out some really nice Avo cigars, gave us awesome advice, and seemed super knowledgeable. Honestly, she was just straight up dope and was the kind of person you'd want to go grab a drink with. Great service! read more

Great store! I'm new to the cigar culture and went in and was greeted and shown some mild ones to start. They were perfect. Then went in a few weeks later and asked for a step up and again was given many choices and they were perfect again. Everyone is nice and super helpful. Go check them out. read more

Great cigar shop!!! They have a fantastic selection of boutique and higher production cigars, a great staff and a great group of regulars. They're a TAA dealer as well so they carry some rare cigars that you can only find at 88 retailers across the country. read more

Excellent cigar shop that's well run by great people. Laura Squire knows her stuff and gave me a few tips about cigars.

Great cigars, and excellent service. The woman who helped me knew exactly what to pair with some Johnny Walker scotch I bought for my husband, she spent time with me telling me about the kinds of cigars and where they come from. The place is pretty nice, very quiet with a nice lounge area in the back to smoke! read more

I like too roll big and cigars are epic

The Squire is great. Been going here for years dating back to their days in Coddingtown. Linda, the owner, is wonderful. Always friendly and makes you feel right at home. Good spot to come in, have a seat and kick back. Bring some reading or your laptop to get a little work done away from the chaos at the office. Face it, aren't you more creative and productive in a relaxed environment with a good cigar in hand than back at the office with telephones and interruptions? I certainly am. But if you feel like doing nothing, this is a great place to do that, too. read more

Best around. Best prices, best atmosphere cigar lounge I've been to anywhere.

Since there's N0 excellent tobacco shop in santasosa, this is just one of several, & the worst of all. What sets this store apart from all the rest is that this is the only place that I know of anymore where you can still $moke indoors. However, in order to do so, you have to buy something from them to smoke. That being said, they have a very poor selection of pipes, unless things have changed dramatically since I was last there years ago. The owner is only friendly to you if she thinks you want to buy something from her. Otherwise, she's too busy to be bothered & just ignores you. As a matter of fact, when I wanted to try one of their English pipe blends, the owner refused to let me smoke it indoors. This is the height of hypocrisy, especially in a place like this!t couldn't possibly smell worse than some of the stinky cigars people smoke there. They specialize in big, fat expensive cigars, which has never been my style, since I'm not a fat cat out to impress anyone, like some people here. The cigars I used to buy there years ago they no longer carry. I buy most of my cigars mailorder through JR Cigar, Cigars International, Iwan Ries, or other out of state stores that don't have such high taxes. They do have a somewhat comfortable smoking lounge, if you can put up with whatever idiotic sports show is on tv at the time. The local brewpud is in the same stripmall, so you can smoke & drink [outside], if you're hip to the trip. This place reminds me of a private club I want no part of. read more

Great cigar lounge. People are friendly and the selection is great. There a nice micro brewery next door to help quench your thirst.

Tried to place an order for a box of cigars that they didn't have in stock. The owner, Linda, said she'd get back to me 'in a few days'. I sure hope I wasn't inconveniencing her by trying to order a $300 box of cigars... Never heard from her, so my money will go to someone else. read more

this place is so cool. if i was a dude, i'd hang out there all. the. time. great customer service and a wide variety of different products. highly recommend if you are a dude's dude who happens to smoke. read more

This place is consistently awesome. It's the only place in Sonoma County to come to for a cigar. There are several great things about this place. Selection: Great cigars at reasonable prices. There is something here for everyone's taste. Staff: All if them are knowledgeable and friendly. They won't point you to the most expensive cigar but will ask about your food and drink preferences to help get you what you might like. The staff can often be seen having a seat and a cigar with their customers. Location: Guys, you can get a haircut at The Barbers next door, grab a burger and a beer at Fogbelt (right next to the barbershop) and then end your day at Squire. They are all steps from each other. Squire has a great atmosphere with seating and TV's inside and they have some outdoor seating too. The guys and gals that come here and stay for a cigar (me included) are nice folks. The only thing that would make this place better would be masseuses and maybe an espresso machine ;-) read more

How glad I am I found this place!.....only wish they were open later into the evening. The place is great, very casual, very nice people and comfortable and the only place I know of in Sonoma County that one can smoke a cigar indoors, if you enjpoy a good cigar in a comfortable setting go here as you will not be disapointed. read more

This place has been going for a long time now and if you are into cigars, pipe tobacco or are looking for that perfect gift/game this is a great place to check out. The prices are the best I've seen in California (which has a huge tobacco tax markup) and the customer service is incredible. Linda, Doug, Trish & JJ are super knowledgable and are always there to take care of your needs. PLUS they have an awesome lounge with very comfortable leather chairs, WiFi, big screen tv and the patrons are very friendly. All in all this place is tops on my list for tobacco/gift shops. Wish there was a sixth star. read more

Great selection, very helpful staff, just a really great place! Nuf said!
