Very enjoyable workout. Did Saturday 8:30 morning ride with Elena. I thought the workout was challenging but doable. I would come back for another ride. Been using class pass to try different fitness studios and this was high energy fun. Knocked out 8.3 miles in that short time so I felt good about my workout. Studio is easily located off Division between Damen and Ashland. Some meter parking nearby. Studio was clean, inviting and accessible. Class holds about 20 - 25 students. In my class there was 7 people well spread out. The music was loud but not ear busting. I was able to borrow riding cleets for my first class for free. Ordinarily I think you can rent for $2. Studio itself has adaptive machines for those with limited mobility. I thought was super cool that they had two of those machines. I saw a gentle men wheeling in for the class after. He looked pumped to get his workout out. Workout: 45 minutes including cool down and stretch. I feel like I burned some good calories. My face was soaked with sweat. Ride consisted of low and high RPM songs. Good mix of music. Instructor was good at making sure recovery was included after strenous climbs. I would suggest arriving at least 10 minutes before class if first time to adjust bike. Bring water and towel. Wear good sports bra for medium impact if you have larger breast. read more

I had been meaning to try it out and it was an option on classpass! I booked a ride for Sunday morning and it was a full class. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and walk through where the lockers & class was. Bikes are first come first serve. During your first visit, shoes are free! But after that, $2 to rent (and you definitely need them so it's an added expense if you don't own a pair) Since it was my first time, I was helped on to my bike and settled. Class vegans right away. There was a quick intro for the few first timers, but other than that, we jumped right in. I deducted a star because it was really beginner friendly since most of the other riders were regulars, so it did feel a bit intimidating. This is my favorite spin studio by far and I've tried them all. Soul Cycle, Flywheel, Peloton, Cycle Bar and local health clubs, been there, done those. What's unique about Spynergy is the chill vibe coupled with great instructors and amazing playlists. What really impressed me was that by my second time there the instructors knew my name and were super friendly. No Divas and prima donnas, just fun people that love to spin. I have been spinning consistently for about 5 years and this morning had the best class I've ever taken at Spynergy. I always spin when I travel for work because I know it's a guaranteed way to get my butt out of bed and into the gym. Now that I'm back in Chicago as a business traveler instead of a resident, I decided to check out Spynergy. Signing up for class online was simple and when I showed up at 5:45 for my 6 o'clock class, I was greeted with a smile -- so different from some of the other spin studios around. The bikes at Spynergy are amazing - comfortable, easy to adjust, and have big screens to tell you RPM, Watts, and Mileage. The experience was capped off with probably the best class I've ever taken led by Hope. She was encouraging, gave just the right amount of cuing, and had class designed around hills, tabatas, and challenges to make it fly by. Her music selection was also really enjoyable. I am a road cyclist who likes to cross train and Spynergy is the place for me! Liza is an accomplished instructor with high energy and passion to create community through wellness...and sweat. You can feel the care in the room; your question or need will be answered right away. The spin room has the perfect amount of daylight with dark contrast so you can focus on the instruction and the class, and the bikes are technically sound. I started spinning at Spynergy with my now-husband since March 2019 as part of our pre-wedding workout. Thanks to the awesome instructors here, the vibe of classes is positive and inspirational, without an ounce of intimidation. Even after the wedding I kept coming back. It is something that I truly missed during Illinois' shelter-in-place this year. The studio reopened recently and is taking covid safety precautions VERY seriously. I am so happy to be back and to be the best version of myself even on that third climb in class. The new 30 minute HIIT format is also great for morning workouts before my day starts. Took a class while visiting from out of town. First impressions count - friendly staff, clean studio, lots of lockers and great bikes. Came for one of their free intro classes ahead of their actual opening! The space is in an alley right off division and they've got some pretty sw33t wall art to lead you there. The staff was super friendly and helpful with getting shoes/lockers/whatever you needed! Liza was the instructor and she had GREAT energy, was really motivating and gave people shoutouts by name (WOW that memory), and picked some ~funky tunes~. Spynergy is the best! Liza, Sara, and the rest of the team are fabulous. I was looking to join a spin studio, but had hesitations regarding the price. I hadn't worked out since December so I was also nervous about my athletic abilities. During their free week of classes, prior to opening, I was able to try 4 different classes. I was so impressed with all of the teachers and the workout is killer. Their beat based methodology really helps you push yourself to the limit. I'm a data/numbers person so being able to look at my watts, RPM, mileage, and etc. during class really get me moving and continue to motivate me... every class I go in and try to beat my average watts from the class prior. The teachers give you guidance on where your RPM should be at for each song and what you should be aiming for from a watts standpoint as well. Also, they go above and beyond from a service perspective. Every morning Liza and the team greet me by name, the bikes are prepped with towels, the teachers are so supportive, and Sara even put a Chance song on her playlist for me!! SO excited to be a part of the Spynergy community. It's worth every penny! read more

I took my first class here the other day, and I loved it! The atmosphere is upbeat and encouraging, the studio is clean, there is a skylight in the room so you get natural light while riding, and the instructor did a great job mixing it up and keeping us moving! Truly, there is nothing worse than a boring/mediocre spin class and nothing better than a really incredible spin class. Spynergy in Wicker Park absolutely falls in the latter category and I could not be more excited. The space is clean and unique. The classes are truly a blast - not only is it a challenging work out, but the music is on point and I have fun the entire time. Typically I'm staring at the clock waiting for a class to end, but here I am disappointed when the 50 minutes is up. Not only are the classes/playlists great, but I thought it was so nice that the owner texted me after my first class asking how it was. They do not have a corporate feel like most spin studios in the city - you can tell it's family owned because the staff really takes pride in what they do. Last weekend Spynergy hosted a private class for my wedding that my friends had organized. It was one of the highlights of a really amazing weekend. I came opening day and had a great first time experience. I love trying out all the spin studios in the city and was very excited to find out Spynergy was coming to my neighborhood. Super easy location - right off the Division blue line stop. The facility is really nice - locker rooms, shower, towels, shoes to rent, etc. The studio and bikes are very nice and easy to use - good loud sound which is always key. My instructor was Isaac who was so fun and high energy it made you forget it was 7am. Great playlist. Everyone was super friendly and helpful - I am definitely looking to go back! I've never been in a workout where I am not either staring at the clock or counting down the minutes mentally but this class flies by because of the amazing playlist and the challenge.
