The soup and salad where good, the main course too although the presentation of the course was a little unusual - everything was kind of "swimming" in the risotto and the turkey was so cooked you did not need a knife but rather a soup spoon which was also offered unsolicited. When we arrived at 7:30 pm on a Thursday (late May) the place was full of tourists and businessmen alike. We found a small table outside and asked for a recommendation on a local wine and beer. Both were exactly what we needed. It might seem expensive, but so is everything else in Switzerland to someone from the US. It is within 100' from the Bern bears, which you must also go and see while in Switzerland's capitol. The only thing that would make this place better is if they had a terrace/patio on the river side of the building, with views towards Bern and the sunset, but you work with what you have.
