Love this store! Great service and always clean! Always in stock! Friendly staff! Love all the organic produce option!

Buyer beware - the 2 times I've ordered pick up groceries from here they have been hours late or did not ever complete. I was still charged for these orders and there is no way to cancel. I am still waiting to be refunded over $100 for an order they never completed. They would not answer the phone so I had to go in store to talk to someone. They told me this was an understaffing issue, which makes me feel so bad for the staff. I would not trust ordering from this location again. Other than this issue, great location with no other issues. Update: still waiting on my refund but Chad was very kind and helpful. He contacted corporate on my behalf to help figure out the situation. read more

I was in the other day, searching for some ingredients for a new recipe, when I wasn't able to locate one. Nearby, a young man named Nate was unboxing a huge load of items and stocking the shelves. He was quite busy, yet he noticed me searching aimlessly. He quickly volunteered to help me without my even asking. He searched the shelf, where the item was sold out, and then he began searching his yet unboxed items. All this without my even asking for help! And- he did this with a smile on his face and a helpfully friendly manner! What a wonderful person! It gave me such a happy mood as I went about my day! Thanks, Nate! I really appreciated it! read more

I was told several months ago by a MANAGER at that Store to "be sure and ask for the case discount" on the bars I buy ( and eat daily). I have received the discount every single visit for months since then until today. I was told by Bob, today's manager when I asked for him, that that was wrong. He also pointed to the bar code and said I was getting a case discount already which was untrue! Bars were 2 for $5 and my receipt shows $30. I suggested he clarify that with the staff. He did not apologize for their "mistake ". I will move all my business to Jimbos which is a great store. ( the check out person was lovely and did say she was sorry for the problem) read more

I give 5 stars to the folks at the meat and seafood department. They are friendly and helpful. I give 1 star to Sprouts corporate nitwits (probably some nepotism involved) who decided long ago to have tiny price labels for items stocked in the floor freezers. One can't tell what items are at what price. Therefore I don't even bother looking in those freezers. read more

This review is only for the sandwiches made at the counter. I had a delicious toasted sourdough turkey sandwich with the fixings. The coolness of the veggies and the crunch of the pickles and warm crunchy toast was so tasty! It's a great place for sandwiches and a good value (4.99). read more

The manager Bob here at this sprouts location brings this place to life. Very easy to talk to and leads the team onsite well. As a customer i continue to go back because I know for a fact this store is managed and ran very well, with a deep sincerity and sweetness from all team members I'll be going back again and again. read more

I love shopping at Sprouts Encinitas because of the very high quality and variety of fruits and vegetables. i also enjoy their fresh made sandwich section. Not only are sandwiches delicious, but they are a great value. What is even more special about Sprouts is the kindness and helpfulness of its employees. Today , I had another very special surprise. I spoke to Bob, the store manager, about Sprouts supporting a Thanksgiving Luncheon on Thanksgiving Day for our community seniors who have no one to share that special day with. What a gracious man!!! Stores are constantly being asked to support various charities, but he reacted as if my request was the most important one he had to deal with and agreed to a generous donation. Stores are in business to make money, but by his actions, Bob made it really clear that Sprouts is in business to serve our community. Sprouts is a great place to patronize. read more

I have never seen a terrible sprouts store till i entered this one. Fresh produce if you could call it that looked scary. Place is old and dirty i walked in an out after taking a look around. Save yourself the trip , skip this mess read more

I want to love this place because I live within walking distance. I'm never in a rush, so I try to maintain a friendly, relaxed attitude when shopping and checking out. The good: The supplements section is nice and employees in that section are always helpful. The Thanksgiving turkey dinner from the deli was fabulous. I like their vegan chocolate chip cookies. Their bulk coffee selection is nice. There is a good selection of organic products. The not-so-good: Often, there is a weird, uncomfortable vibe with the cashiers. There are a couple of good ones who greet me, look me in the eye, help bag, seem to have a sense of humor, and don't rush me through the checkout process. Others seem rushed, unhappy and preoccupied. Items can be out of stock. Much of the produce is in plastic packaging. Prices can be missing or different from what I'm charged (sometimes I'm actually charged less than expected). This week, there was an on-sale pantry item that was not on the shelf, but the Sprouts app indicated it was in stock. I thought perhaps there was more in a back room. When I asked the (nice) employee by the self-checkout how to find out when it would be available, she directed me to ask a manager in a blue shirt for a rain check. The manager directed me to look in another department, but the item was not there either. I got back in line to talk with the manager and they started to write up a rain check, then seemed to ask me if they should be doing that since the sale was going for a couple of weeks longer. I said I just wanted to know when the item would be back in stock, and the manager said "Hopefully sooner than later." I was speechless. Another reviewer said the employees are not treated very well. I suspect some of the employees are unhappy working there, and perhaps not trained very well. If this store had 75% of the Trader Joe's customer service vibe, I'd be thrilled. read more

I had such good service from Alex today. He was friendly and polite . He showed initiative because he was overseeing the self check out which wasn't busy so he came and offered to help me with self checkout. I appreciate that and he helped make my errand much quicker! Thanks Alex!! read more

The deli options at this location are great, we stop in most weekends to pick up sandwiches and/or sushi for lunch - both are always fresh and there are gluten free options for both! Staff is friendly although it sometimes takes a while before they notice people are waiting at the deli counter. Beyond the deli, the groceries are generally pricey but I do appreciate the great variety of gluten free options. read more
