I don't know where to start with the negative experience we had with Sprint Electric. We hired them to install an intercom system for our driveway gates in March 2020. Then Covid hit and they had to postpone the job. That was fine. They finally came back to complete the work on July 30 but they INSTALLED THE WRONG INTERCOM! They said they would order the right one and come back and swap it in 2 weeks. That was also fine with us. But we never heard back from them again and when we contacted them, they said the correct intercom was on back order. That was also fine with us. But then MONTHS went by and we didn't hear back from them. Whenever we emailed them (we wanted everything to be in writing at this point) they DID NOT REPLY TO OUR EMAILS....EVER! They completely ignored us! (We also found out that intercom we wanted WAS available as we had been told it was by other companies and we also found out that the price 2.5 times LESS than Sprint was charging us for it!) Finally, after numerous ignored emails, 7 MONTHS later we contacted them again in early March 2021 and asked if they were EVER going to complete the job. FINALLY they came and installed the correct intercom in late March 2021....a year after it was supposed to be installed and 8 months after they installed the wrong one! We thought in the end they might compensate us for the SNAFU or at least apologize, which they never did. And then hey had the nerve to charge us the labor for installing the intercom twice! The bill we got in the end was WAY higher than we expected and when we pointed this out, the owner had the nerve to complain that he was stuck with the first intercom (which was his own fault for ordering the wrong one!). We sent an email outlining all of the issues, including waiting 8 months to get the job done, being ignored for months and being charged twice for the installation. And HE IGNORED THAT email too!! Finally, we sent a proposal for a slightly reduced cost for the job and he accepted that. It was by far the worst experience we have ever had in 41 years of dealing with contractors, in fact we have never had such poor customer service from anyone in our lives! The tradespeople that did the work were all GREAT...it was the management and their NONEXISTENT COMMUNICATION and POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE that made this experience so negative and stressful for us. read more
