I was taken in about 5 minutes before my appointment time even though the waiting room was packed. I did spend about 25 minutes past my appointment time alone in the exam room, however the doctor came in apologizing profusely saying she had to spend a little extra time comforting her last patient, totally understandable. I've recently started seeing Dr. Mcevoy (spelling?) and she is absolutely wonderful. She's caring and listens and explains and thinks out loud as to what her thoughts are and courses of action - "hmm, we could try this, what are your thoughts?" and so on. She even sat there and googled images and explained about my neck issues and how muscles and discs lead to pain, pointing out where my issues were. The reception can be a little blunt at times and I was given the wrong date for my last appointment and missed it. Lesson learned, phone a couple days beforehand to make sure. What I was most impressed by was when I saw Dr Musbah as I needed antibiotics, I am allergic to penicillin so there are not many antibiotics I can take, I'm normally prescribed Biaxin, but Dr M said I shouldn't take that one, as it reacted to other medications I was taking--making them less useful & functional. I can't believe no other Dr, even my family Dr ever caught this. I am happy to know that Dr Musbah & the CareExcellence team have my back!

I'm used to having to wait like 14 hours to get hospital care but they actually transported her from the U of A specifically to get her in faster. We were done the surgery in about 2 hours, it was amazing. She felt as though she got great care while she was there. She's never even had blood taken let alone a surgery before, so thankfully the staff were very comforting and supportive throughout the process. I don't think anyone really ever wants to get an emergency phone call that their family member is going into surgery immediately, so thankfully it was relatively easy and they gave us access to her. It was all kind of a shock so the fact that they let like six of her family members wait it out in the waiting room in the dead of night was really comforting. It was especially comforting for my Mom that we could all be there because she is in Calgary and couldn't come right away. They told us that they weren't very busy either. So I would actually recommend people coming here during an emergency. I've waited full days at the U of A/Grey Nuns before, so this was definitely a new experience to be in and out so quickly. Since approximately 2018, I have experienced ongoing difficulty reaching the clinic by phone after a longstanding pattern of not receiving callbacks after leaving voicemail messages. Calls frequently go unanswered, and voicemail messages are often not returned. This has been a consistent pattern over several years, resulting in limited ability to reliably contact the clinic regarding patient care concerns. On the occasions I have reached "Pat" (office assistant), I have been told she is busy. However, when I attend the clinic in person she has not appeared to be occupied with patient related tasks and has instead been conversing with staff or not engaged in work at the front desk. I have spoken to other patients that attend this clinic and they have the same complaints and find it highly annoying. This creates a barrier to accessing care and communicating with the office. Based on my experience, patients should be aware of communication challenges when dealing with this clinic.

Always put full energy into his time with a patient. Recently, he has saved my father! My father had complained of short breath and Dr Sun then sent my father for an X-Ray on his lung. The lung check was done around 9 am, and Dr Sun had called us in at 11 am to give us his diagnosis - Pneumothorax. At the same time, he was getting in touch with the experts in Royal Hospital. He then got the expert opinion to admit my father into hospital in time. In the early evening of the same day, my father received a tubing procedure very quickly to remove the air inside his lung which had led his lung to clap. It could be dangerous if the air bubble pushed his heart. My father was discharged by the hospital the third day after the tube was removed. I go in at 1:02 as they stated they start taking walk ins at 9am or 1pm. when I got there I was notified that it would be a half hour wait as they only had one doctor and I said that's fine and I asked to wait in my car since the wait room chairs were full, (there's only a few) and the admin said that was fine and would call upon my turn. after an hour wait I go back inside to see why its taking so long just for the other admin to notify me that there's still 14 people ahead of me and I asked how that's so when I got here at 1:02 and they only start taking walk ins at 1 and that the other employee had told me when I got here it was only a half hour wait. she proceeded to tell me that everyone else started registering at 12:30 and that it will still be a 2 hour wait. Dont come here if you're indigenous as they will just put you to the bottom of the line. Whenever you have questions, they are very short with you and give you very little information. Also, it does not seem to matter if I make an appointment early in the day, or at the last appointment spot, I am always kept waiting. Today I went in for a 9:15am appointment and I was told to come half an hour open. When I showed up at 8:45, the door was still locked! The receptionist finally came to open the door for me, but I was confused as to what I was doing there so early. I wasn't brought into the exam room until 9:30 and my doctor didn't see me until 10:00am, a full 45 minutes after my appointment time. I was super frustrated.

Over the phone they sound nice and polite and tell you one thing but when you arrive in this facility their story changes completely. They do not have basic human compassion and obviously do not know how to treat someone with dignity. Someone that had knee surgery 3 days ago can`t and shouldn't be sitting and waiting in pain on some cheap uncomfortable chair for almost an hour. What is wrong with these people? What kind of healthcare is this?! It is a shame where our tax money goes and how we are being treated by the staff of this facility.
