Parking is moderately small and fluctuates as well due to other clinics next to this one. Ex: dental clinic, & dyna life. The staff are pleasant and very helpful to a certain extent. I'll definitely be checking in here when I get sick or until these doctors are accepting new patients to their practice. Anyways, have fun shopping for your own doctor. I was taken in about 5 minutes before my appointment time even though the waiting room was packed. I did spend about 25 minutes past my appointment time alone in the exam room, however the doctor came in apologizing profusely saying she had to spend a little extra time comforting her last patient, totally understandable. I've recently started seeing Dr. Mcevoy (spelling?) and she is absolutely wonderful. She's caring and listens and explains and thinks out loud as to what her thoughts are and courses of action - "hmm, we could try this, what are your thoughts?" and so on. She even sat there and googled images and explained about my neck issues and how muscles and discs lead to pain, pointing out where my issues were. The reception can be a little blunt at times and I was given the wrong date for my last appointment and missed it. Lesson learned, phone a couple days beforehand to make sure. Other then that, a stellar clinic.

One day I waited 17 minutes on hold before someone was able to book an appointment for me. I also find that the clinic isn't really that clean or welcoming looking considering it is almost brand new. Perhaps that is the winter weather and all the mud and wet floors that comes along with it. Although it is quite easy to secure an appointment within the next day or so, I have had to wait both times I've been in; the first time for over an hour and the second time for half an hour. Not the most convenient when you've slipped out of work for the appointment. However, once in, the doctors seem to spend a good amount of time with you trying to pinpoint issues. The doctor even ran some tests while I was in the office so I didn't have to go to a lab and wait for the results. I'm still on the search for the perfect family doctor and clinic, but Westmount will do for now.

(She is currently accepting new patients btw) I literally cannot express the gratitude I feel for the care she has given me on my health journey. I have been struggling with health issues lately, it has effected my quality of life, work , etc... I told her my story , symptoms, concerns and she got to work right away on the very first visit. I had requisitions for BW , X-rays and insisted on a follow up appointment, sending me home with refill scripts for any current meds I needed. From the start she was kind, caring, compassionate and a great listener. And no matter how many times I showed up at the clinic with my mysterious symptoms she always welcomed me back with a reassuring smile and an equal determination to resolve the consistent sickness I kept having to endure. Since that first visit I have come a long way in such a short amount of time. I can happy say that due to the efforts and incredible care from Dr.Arunemi I am currently on the road to recovery. Westgate Medicentre is an absolute hidden GEM! The clinic is clean, staff is friendly, short wait times and my new doctor an absolute godsend. My overall experience at Medicentre is that they don't provide me with the same service I have at…read moremy family doctor's office but it's good to be able to see a doctor in a short timeframe when I can't get an immediate appointment with my doctor and the issue doesn't warrant a visit to the hospital emergency. I have been here a few times and I check the website in advance to see what the estimated wait time was. The last time my wait was close to an hour which was longer than the quoted time on the website but from the time it takes to get there, they could be more patients that have arrived. Being in Rexall Drugstore, I browsed in the store and shopped during my wait. I had to wait a few more minutes in the room for the Doctor. The Doctor was nice and spent time chatting with me about my issue. He told me to increase my dosage of medication, gave me a prescription, and also made a referral to a specialist. Convenient location with lots of parking and hours are good to open later in the evening.

He referred me to a proper specialist and agreed to be my family physician. I am very impressed by my first visit. The assistant answered the phone on the second ring yesterday, looked up my chart, and answered my question accurately and pleasantly. I plan to see Dr. Ahmad again soon for another longstanding problem not addressed by my previous healthcare provider. Dr Ahamad has excellent credentials from England. The clinic is tricky to find as it's to the side of a building but is clean and well laid out.

I often use the Medicentre - be sure to get there early because the place can really fill up quickly. My dentist is also located in this building. There is an xray facility as well as a lab - the lab is not open always at the same times as the Medicentre, so be sure to check in case you think you're going to need bloodwork done. There is a small pharmacy. I have had some really great doctors in the Medicentre, but it can sometimes be hit and miss. The clinic is accessible by several bus routes and the Medicentre is open on weekends.
