Dr. Ghitter-Mannes does! I worry for the day she retires as I will never find another GP as great as her. The office staff are also professional, organized and polite. Dr GM is always on time, unlike many clinics/docs and this isn't because she rushes you or doesn't allow you to ask questions. Overall, I am so appreciative of Forest Heights Medical and will continue to make the long drive across the city to continue to use this clinic for as long as they'll have me. Thankfully I have not many severe health problems but anything I've had to deal with has given me utmost confidence that I have an experienced, caring family doctor and organized practice to coordinate my care should something happen.

My experience is he takes time, listens, has read any lab reports and has steered me in the right direction. It's not my experience he offers any medication than that which I need. The worker kept demanding an exact time and tried dumping me onto someone else when I kept telling her I don't know exactly the time. You need to retrain the staff to learn to count. If I say 9-midnight, how hard is it to look at the clock and count? If the test wants 8hr fast and I'm past that, then just mark down 8+. Never got any "care" since the worker couldn't and/or refused to do basic math. I know that math is hard in Alberta.

I was basically in and out in about 30 mins. I would however recommend making an appointment as the walk in wait time ranged from 20-40 minutes. The place was clean, my technician was very nice and she was also efficient. I hate blood tests and she did it all pretty quick. And bonus, I did it bruise, so she did a great job. My only complaint was how few appointments there were. At most locations it was at least a 2 week wait. I must have gotten an appointment that was cancelled as my appointment was only a week away.

I am very conflicted about my doctors office. My doctor is great. She always takes time to answer…read morequestions, is very thorough in answering and is super friendly. That being said -- I can't stand the receptionists here. They are really rude, barely give you a smile when you walk in the door. Whenever you have questions, they are very short with you and give you very little information. Also, it does not seem to matter if I make an appointment early in the day, or at the last appointment spot, I am always kept waiting. Today I went in for a 9:15am appointment and I was told to come half an hour open. When I showed up at 8:45, the door was still locked! The receptionist finally came to open the door for me, but I was confused as to what I was doing there so early. I wasn't brought into the exam room until 9:30 and my doctor didn't see me until 10:00am, a full 45 minutes after my appointment time. I was super frustrated.

I called health link around 9pm when I realized my daughter's stubbed ToE was like my a break... and of course it was a Friday night of a long weekend meaning our family clinic would be closed until Tuesday. We were just getting ready to leave on vacation in 6 days for Disney and knew there would be LOTS and LOTS of walking and swimming and running and climbing. So glad we popped in. Free street parking. There was literally one person in the waiting room. Staff were courtesy and friendly from the moment we entered until we left. Admittedly, my daughter had a bit of a freak out on the poor ER doc when she was told that the X-ray confirmed a broken bone. But overall the visit was great. A clean, bright, and new facility open afternoons and evenings for urgent care only. They did the assessment, X-ray, and treatment in about an hour's time. They did warn me that sometimes when it's swamped they will stop taking new patients before they officially close at 10pm but that's okay - I get that. I only wish I had learned of our Urgent Care facility sooner! Two Thumbs Way Up!
