He's a friendly doc who, unlike many docs, isn't rushing in and out of rooms. He takes time to talk with you. He's older, so he went to med school about 40 years ago but keeps up on all the recent research. When you come into his office, he is usually at his desk doing some reading of the latest medical journals. It's probably why he has so many patients and can't accept new patients. Also if he knows you don't have a medical plan he's very generous with samples from pharmaceutical companies.

There are 13 doctors in total working at this clinic and I've seen a few of them - my regular doctor and others during the walk-in time. I quite like my doctor. He has a good bedside manner, always listens to everything I have to say and isn't just hovering over his prescription pad. I hate going to a Medicentre or something like that and feeling like (scratch that, knowing) that they're not listening and just trying to get you out of there as quickly as possible. I also like that he doesn't just push drugs on me, but will also suggest alternatives and options. He takes my concerns into consideration always. I've had to see a specialist a couple of times, and they set up the appointments for me no problem. I'm usually able to get in to see him within a week of when I call. My favourite thing about this clinic is the wait time, or lack thereof. When I have a regular appointment, I've never waited more than 10 minutes. My husband usually has to wait 1-2 HOURS for his doctor, even with an appt. Another big bonus here is the walk-in clinic, which is for existing patients of the clinic only. It runs Monday thru Thursday from 5-8pm, and Saturdays from 10am-2pm. Very convenient. Again, the max I've waited for this is 20 minutes, which I think is very reasonable. I've seen three other doctors through the walk-in clinic, and they've all been quite good as well. The waiting room is huge and clean. I hate those medical offices that are totally cramped, with toys all over the floor and everyone sitting shoulder to shoulder. There is a pharmacy and an x-ray place in the same building. The clinic is just off of Whyte Ave, a bit down the street from Chapters. I can usually find a meter or a spot on the street. There is also a pay lot across the street.

I did spend about 25 minutes past my appointment time alone in the exam room, however the doctor came in apologizing profusely saying she had to spend a little extra time comforting her last patient, totally understandable. I've recently started seeing Dr. Mcevoy (spelling?) and she is absolutely wonderful. She's caring and listens and explains and thinks out loud as to what her thoughts are and courses of action - "hmm, we could try this, what are your thoughts?" and so on. She even sat there and googled images and explained about my neck issues and how muscles and discs lead to pain, pointing out where my issues were. The reception can be a little blunt at times and I was given the wrong date for my last appointment and missed it. Lesson learned, phone a couple days beforehand to make sure. Dr. Wash is an amazing doctor. He always remembers our conversations, he asks me about school and, of course, he is brilliant when it comes to medical problems. I found it hard in the past to find a doctor that I can trust completely and that I feel comfortable around, but then I found Dr. Wash and I'm still happy as can be with him. I can't stress enough what a great clinic this is. If I need to get in to see a doctor and Dr. Wash isn't available or a couple days, they let me see someone else (if I'm comfortable with it).
