SpringHill Suites Raleigh Cary was in the middle of two locations I was going to be at so it made sense to stay in the area. SpringHill Suites shares a parking lot with a Fairfield Inn. It is off of Rt. 1 but I did not here traffic noise. Check-in was friendly and I was given my keys to the room and told where and when breakfast would be. The hotel has two elevators, a pool and a fitness room. The lobby was nice. When I got to my room, I pushed both switches and one lit up the microwave area and the other didn't seem to do anything. There were no overhead lights and it was dark. There was a small lamp on the desk and another lamp near the bed. From photos it seems my room was missing a lamp near the couch and likely another on the other side of the bed as there was a switch there that wasn't doing anything either. I could deal with the darkness for a night but it wouldn't work so well for a long term stay. I normally have a book with me so I wouldn't have had enough light for that. The bathroom was large and had plenty of light. I wish some of those overhead lights were in the room portion. WIFI was good. The tv didn't always connect so it was the static screen a lot. When it was turned on it would have the thinking circle and then a little bit later a station would show up or the static. It was just a night there so not so much an issue but I wouldn't want to deal with it for a long term stay. The HVAC unit worked well but was on the louder side. So I am not sure if that buffered out any traffic noise. I slept well and the mattress and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast had a room with waffle makers; eggs; sausage and potatoes. Clean, decent location, modern, and one heck of a breakfast. This is one of the best Springhills I've ever visited. The breakfast was well above most lower marriotts with Belgian waffles, quiches, and sausage and egg everything seasoned bagel sandwiches. Of course they also had the oranges, bananas, cereal, sausage etc. There's not much walkable (a few restaurants), but it's an easy drive to Cary, Apex and Raleigh attractions. 5/21/21: We stayed in this area to be close to a basketball tournament we were attending for the weekend. It is close to the interstate, shopping, & many restaurants. I have never been here before, but I truly enjoyed my stay. The front desk staff were friendly & accommodating. Their gym was clean and organized. The pool area allowed 6 people on the deck & 4 people in the pool (unless it was a family). There were towels available in the pool area. There is a bar & area to use their computers. There was ample parking. The room has a fridge & microwave. It also has a MASSIVE walk in closet. I've never seen that in a hotel. Very nice! Masks are required inside the hotel. The hotel was very clean & organized. No hotel has ever been perfect in my eyes, but this one is close. read more

I stayed here Saturday night after attending the wine festival at koka booth and it was fantastic. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and very spacious. It was equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and the hotel had an indoor pool and a small fitness center. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic with make your own waffles, eggs, turkey sausage, potatoes with peppers and onions, cereal, yogurt, an assortment of pastries, toast, muffins bagels and Juices. There was coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Check in was quick and easy. The pillows in the room were a little too soft for my liking but I slept great. First, let me start by saying we are headed out of Covid so standards are mist likely different. That said we are leaving a day early after switching hotel rooms and still being eeked out. The staff was incredible though. Kind. Thoughtful and trying to fix the issues. After staying at Hampton Inns and Marriott that are corporate I have been spoiled. Outside the leaves in our bed, there was blood on the sheets. The employees got this a 3 star or it would have been 2! They were kind!!! So kind. Hopefully they will make some modifications and renovations and this will be a 5 star property soon. read more

10 STARS ALL ACROSS THE BOARD!! So I came here on business and stayed here for a week since it was one of the closer hotels to my location. At first I really didn't know what to expect since my company booked this hotel and hinted they were trying to stay on the "cheaper" side. Automatically in my mind I'm thinking it's going to be a low budget hotel with no restaurants or bar. However, after experiencing a few nights here, my thoughts automatically changed! First off, everyone in this hotel from the staff to the patrons was extremely friendly! Everyone greeted you, smiled and just made you feel welcomed. Not sure if this was a "Springhill Suites Marriott" thing or a "NC" thing but it definitely worked! Also, this hotel is super clean and spacious. From the lobby to the restaurant and rooms- this hotel was spot on clean. There is a gym, restaurant, bar and nice breakfast area down stairs. In terms of breakfast- it is filling and it is good- (2) things you cannot beat! At first there was a lady there that seemed to speak to everyone but me- and I gotta be honest, this was going to bring my ratings down. However, the next day she made vegetarian sausage just for me because I don't eat pork. I couldn't believe that someone would go out of their way just for me regardless if they were working or not because it wasn't her job. This went a LONG WAY and it is for this reason amongst others I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel! read more

Had a great one week stay at this Marriott hotel near Raleigh Durham area. This is a new property so everything was modern and looked great. Room was kept clean and slept very comfortably. There were plenty of restaurants and stores in close proximity to the property. They even had laundry services available. Small pool and gym on site as well. Plenty of free and ample parking. Our daughter moved to Southern Pines and we were hoping to find a nice place to stay as we plan to visit often from VA. This will not be that place. The people in the room next to ours were playing their music so loud that we could feel the boom from the bass through our walls. When we first contacted the front desk we were told it was not possible because there was no one staying in that room. The representative then came to our room, apologized and said she could clearly tell it was coming from next door and she would take care of it. (How is it possible the front desk were unaware there were guests in that room?) The volume never changed so I made another call to the front desk. We were then told WE would have to switch rooms. Wait. What? We drive 6 hours, pay $130.00 a night and WE have to switch rooms because the people next to us are having a party? Did I also mention our 5 year old granddaughter was staying with us? We sent an email to corporate explaining our situation and received a response from the hotel itself. This was likely from the same manager we were dealing with because we were told "They commended the staff member for her handling of the situation." I am disgusted by the client service we received at this location and also disappointed that the corporate office thought it was appropriate to have our concerns addressed by the same staff that handled our original complaint. We will be staying elsewhere on our trips to Southern Pines. read more

As a Professional Services contractor, I get to stay at this hotel on a weekly basis as I engage with my client in the NC area. This is a newly built hotel and it shows. All aspects of this hotel seem new or refurbished and have updated amenities and decor. I've stayed in the King suites and also when not available the Double Queen suites, both types of rooms have a lot of room, and offer a working area and a couch for lounging or relaxing if you don't wish to lay on the bed. Rooms typically have sliding barn doors for bathrooms entrance so there is minimal need to swing anything open and block access. Workout gym is a little dated, with treadmills showing age as they are geared towards "iPod Video" vs updated to be compatible with cell phones and newer features. However they have a TV per treadmill so you can watch something as you sweat away your daily calories. The pool is a bit small, and I would have LOVED if there was a hot-tub option to soak off sore muscles post run/workout. But there is some strange kiddy wading pool with fountain features (which I at first mistook for a hot tub). Staff is friendly, since I stay here weekly, they know me by name and its great having a consistent and clean place to stay at when on the road. read more

Probably my all-time favorite SpringHill Suites location! The hotel is obviously new and located just off of major road in good ol' Cary. Ledsome Lane was a little difficult to find on the GPS, considering that the address was new. For starters, the lounge area on the outside of the hotel was just as comfortable as the inside! On a good day without inclement weather, you'll find the seating area outside quite comfortable enough to conduct business meetings and get-togethers. Heck, you can eat a late dinner without any problems and possibly pass out on the comfortable sofas that they had out there. Now, the inside: interesting set up with the bar area being adjacent to the main elevator. Not that I'm complaining, its just you don't see that set up often. The breakfast seating around the bar was sufficient, while the breakfast itself was really, really good. I greatly appreciated the fact that despite being closed for 10 minutes, the kitchen staff allowed me into the kitchen area to get last minute fruits, bagels, etc. The amenities were as expected: quite good. The pool and spa area was popular with UNC & Wolfpack students during my stay, so I didn't partake in it this time. However, the gym area was decent with 3 treadmills + a sufficient amount of free weights. You are also able to look out of the large window bays to break up the boredom of your workout. My only complaint was that the gym area got to be too hot (at least 80 degrees) with the AC operating sporadically during those days. The room itself was classic SpringHill suites: light emerald sofa, mahogany-stained kitchenette and desk, walk-in shower, fridge & microwave, and mid-firm king bed. There wasn't anything unusual about the room. The room was so comfortable that immediately after walking in, I plopped down on the bed and took a 2-hour nap in my work clothes due to how comfortable the confines were. Customer service was fine, so no issues there. Even though there is a Best Western to the right of the hotel as well as other properties, there are surprisingly limited places to eat within walking distance. I noticed that there was a deli nearby, as well as restaurant towards the front of the round-a-bout, but that was about it. I discovered more restaurants after making a U-turn and going left down the main road for about a mile. You'll see the Starbucks, On The Border, and other restaurants that make up the mall shopping area there. Or, you can explore a bit by making a right turn and go the other direction for more. Its a drive, and not necessarily walking distance when it comes to restaurants. Altogether, this SpringHill Suites should be the prototype for many others to follow. read more

Stayed 3 nights and found the room to be very spacious with updated decor and bathroom finishes. The bed and pillows were comfy and the furniture efficiently laid out. I loved the bench over the A/C unit. I don't think the corridors have any A/C because they felt warmer than the room and the lobby area. The hotel is fairly clean, but the GM should address the piled up trash at the bin outside the entrance which happened all 3 nights I was there. Either swap out the bin for a bigger one, or have staff collect the trash more often- it's very unsightly to see a pile of trash when walking into the hotel. It was also an issue at the trash/recycling bin next to the elevator on 1st floor. Also, the elevator panel wall and doors could use a daily wipe down with stainless steel cleaner. I only had housekeeping make up the room 1 night and it was excellent. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful when our key didn't work on 2 occasions. Location is great with 2 other hotels sharing the parking lot and a waffle house and gas station off the same parking lot. We did have to park far when we got back late a couple of nights, but there was always a spot somewhere. read more

Pet friendly ??? Yes if you pay the same cost of another room $100 to have your pet with you. For that price I want my dog to have its own room. They need to remove this from their site unless they want to honor it. . We chose instead to go the Hampton Inn. Guess what! No pet fees and the room is cheaper and the hotel is extremely clean. The staff is very accommodating The Hampton Inn offers a truly full breakfast! Multiple choices of breads/bagels, "real scrambled eggs" ,sausage, pancakes, waffles, fresh fruit, fresh made oatmeal, yogurt and juice and premium coffee. read more

This hotel is two years old and the staff is quite friendly. It's very clean. The pool is like most hotel pools - small, and there is no hot tub. There is a section of pool about 6x6 feet that is only about a foot deep I guess for small kids with their parents. The exercise room was clean, had multiple machines and adequate free weights for use. The free breakfast was tasty with hot items such as eggs and sausage, a waffle station, and cold items such as Continental items and cold cereal, fresh fruit, and hard boiled eggs. There was a lot of seating in the area for multiple families and many even had a mini tv to watch the news. We were quite happy with the breakfast here! What we didn't like was the room layout. When you enter there's a small fridge and microwave. Then on the left is an office-like section. The beds are against the left wall, and then the closet and bathroom are on the right. They are accessed by sliding doors which have opaque glass. Our bathroom door was attached incorrectly so it did not fully close to lock (Room 426). When you have to turn the light on in the middle of the night even with the door closed it shined enough onto the beds to wake up my family. This is just bad. We also hated the too soft mattresses. The bathroom itself was large and when we needed more towels and called to get some, we had to go to the front desk to get them. Overall, some good and bad here. I think the mattresses alone would stop us from returning along with the bad room layout and shining bathroom door. ADDENDUM: I wanted to say that I mentioned the problems with the sliding door, soft mattresses, and light through the glass door upon checkout. The staff told me that a Marriott head was through the facility two weeks ago and agreed that something needed to be done about the glass doors as others have complained about the same thing where people turning the lights on while others were sleeping was causing people to wake up. Apparently, all new SpringHill Suites have this configuration. The solution for now is to see if they can place a plastic sticker/film over the glass to cut back on the light coming through. I'm not sure this will be the best solution...I suggested that instead of turning on the lights, to just place a small nightlight buy the sink and/or toilet so you can see what's going on! Anyway, for our discomfort, $50 was taken off our bill which was more than I expected, so thank you SpringHill Suites! read more

Have stayed at this location when in the area for work. I really like that the rooms are suites with a refrigerator and microwave. The beds are comfy and the bathroom spacious. I also like that breakfast is free and they have a variety of options. I have used both the pool and exercise room.... The pool was smaller but nice all the same though it didn't appear to be heated and was very cold. Front desk staff was nice and the market area was well stocked. There are a couple of food places within walking distance as well. read more

This hotel was pretty nice. It was spacious and had a different setup inside the rooms. That was great. The staff was nice, friendly and helpful. The rooms are not small but the layout make them look and feel big. Now the tub...auuuh they don't expect you to stay in the tub to long. They want you to bathe and get out the shower. It is a bit small. You can't even stretch in the shower... OMG. The restroom itself is huge but that shower is a match box. read more

Facility is good and service seems just OK: Housekeeping forgets to do items in the room almost daily: coffee cups, tissues out, both toilet rolls down to very low with no back up roll in the wings, bath mat forgotten once, did not vacuum daily! My wife and I went down to the bar for a drink and the bar tender was being extremely rude. So I wrote in the receipt that he was being tipped low because of it. A few hours later my wife went downstairs to grab an Uber Eats order and this bartender chased and cornered her into the elevator and cornered her saying if you husband has something to say tell him to come say that Sh*t to my face. So obviously I went down there to confront him and he kept saying I f*cked you're mom everytime I tried to say something. I told him he needed to watch his mouth and then he asked me if I wanted to fight him. Luckily for both of us the gentleman at the front desk came and interrupted us as the lobby was quite crowded because of some swim meet going on. I walked off and talked to the guy at the front desk and gave me the GM's number. Except for this indigent my stay was great. The rest of the staff was wonderful and the breakfast was good too. Once the GM gets back to me this review may go up but if not 2 stars is generous. If I wanted some random man chasing down my wife and scaring her I would have stayed at a motel 6. read more

Over hyped with no idea what customer service consists of. When we try to walk to the elevator we have to dodge the swim team who are decorating their doors. We asked for 2 beds and got 1. When we asked if it was possible to change rooms we were told "impossible." We were meeting friends at the hotel and when we asked if their room could be near ours we were told "impossible." The clerk did not even look up their name. Got a drink at the bar and tried to pay in ya know CASH, this confused the girl who had to go get her bank. Pool is tiny. Room is set up odd. Disappointed. Check in experience was mediocre, Room was freezing cold when we got up there(thermostat was set to 65-mind you we were here in December), the breakfast staff and the girl at the bar were all rude and nobody smiles at you or makes you feel welcome. The bed was comfy but the blankets they have on them don't fit. I had slippers on when I went down for breakfast (because it's seven in the morning and we are going down for breakfast) and the woman looked at me after watching us eat for over ten minutes and when I went back to get my son more eggs she said to me "you have to have shoes on". Well why didn't you say that to me all the other times you saw me? I've never felt so unwelcomed in my life, I expected more from Marriott and it was intact the first time I had stayed at one and will more than likely be the last. We were down in the lobby with our family for over two hours last night in the same slipper Shoes and nobody said anything. And then I am trying to feed my two young kids their "State of the art breakfast" (greasy scrambled eggs, bruised bananas, and muffins everyone had been touching and coughing on). You're supposed to feel welcomed and at home when you stay somewhere like this, not the opposite. read more

Absolutely love the rooms! The hotels is in a great location. Stayed one night. Love the indoor pool, gym, and overall layout. Front desk is cordial. Breakfast included. Only thing that kept it from a 5 was smudges on the Windows,mirrors,etc. definitely would stay again and recommend. read more
