5/21/21: We stayed in this area to be close to a basketball tournament we were attending for the weekend. It is close to the interstate, shopping, & many restaurants. I have never been here before, but I truly enjoyed my stay. The front desk staff were friendly & accommodating. Their gym was clean and organized. The pool area allowed 6 people on the deck & 4 people in the pool (unless it was a family). There were towels available in the pool area. There is a bar & area to use their computers. There was ample parking. The room has a fridge & microwave. It also has a MASSIVE walk in closet. I've never seen that in a hotel. Very nice! Masks are required inside the hotel. The hotel was very clean & organized. No hotel has ever been perfect in my eyes, but this one is close.

    Tired.

First, let me start by saying we are headed out of Covid so standards are mist likely different. That said we are leaving a day early after switching hotel rooms and still being eeked out. The staff was incredible though. Kind. Thoughtful and trying to fix the issues. After staying at Hampton Inns and Marriott that are corporate I have been spoiled. Outside the leaves in our bed, there was blood on the sheets. The employees got this a 3 star or it would have been 2! They were kind!!! So kind. Hopefully they will make some modifications and renovations and this will be a 5 star property soon.

10 STARS ALL ACROSS THE BOARD!! So I came here on business and stayed here for a week since it was one of the closer hotels to my location. At first I really didn't know what to expect since my company booked this hotel and hinted they were trying to stay on the "cheaper" side. Automatically in my mind I'm thinking it's going to be a low budget hotel with no restaurants or bar. However, after experiencing a few nights here, my thoughts automatically changed! First off, everyone in this hotel from the staff to the patrons was extremely friendly! Everyone greeted you, smiled and just made you feel welcomed. Not sure if this was a "Springhill Suites Marriott" thing or a "NC" thing but it definitely worked! Also, this hotel is super clean and spacious. From the lobby to the restaurant and rooms- this hotel was spot on clean. There is a gym, restaurant, bar and nice breakfast area down stairs. In terms of breakfast- it is filling and it is good- (2) things you cannot beat! At first there was a lady there that seemed to speak to everyone but me- and I gotta be honest, this was going to bring my ratings down. However, the next day she made vegetarian sausage just for me because I don't eat pork. I couldn't believe that someone would go out of their way just for me regardless if they were working or not because it wasn't her job. This went a LONG WAY and it is for this reason amongst others I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel!

Had a great one week stay at this Marriott hotel near Raleigh Durham area. This is a new property so everything was modern and looked great. Room was kept clean and slept very comfortably. There were plenty of restaurants and stores in close proximity to the property. They even had laundry services available. Small pool and gym on site as well. Plenty of free and ample parking. A small market is on site for snacks and necessities. Follow me on ig @sweet_maloy. Bottom line is I would stay again. #askSweet

The suites were humongous and clean. Front desk was friendly... maybe because they saw that I am an Elite Gold member...? Breakfast situation was good. Also the hotel is situated in a nice area near malls and restaurants. I would definitely go back and recommend this place.

Very nice hotel to stay in if you need to do anything on this side of Raleigh. The staff was very courteous from the moment I stepped in, room was clean and had a very good design, not much more to say here! Loved my stay and will be coming back if I ever am in the area again.

We also each got one free drink at the bar! I do wish there had been a little more Christmas feel in the room itself since there wasn't any holiday decor inside, but the hotel and surrounding area were gorgeous. The park right behind it was lit up beautifully with activities, which made it such a fun place to walk through. Parking unfortunately wasn't great since there were only a handful of spots, so we had to park a bit far away and walk back any time we left. The bed was super comfy and cozy, and room service comes from their restaurant so the food was delicious. The woman at the front desk was incredibly sweet and accommodating, and they also have extras like toothbrushes and other essentials if you forget anything. It is on the pricier side, but if you want to treat yourself for a special occasion, I highly recommend it. We're already talking about making it a tradition.

On the wedding day, they even steamed my dress as a surprise, which I really appreciated. Our wedding coordinator was organized and incredibly helpful in managing the timeline, making sure everything ran smoothly and on schedule. One thing to note is that the venue is fairly strict about outside vendors not on their preferred list. Thankfully, our photographer already had liability insurance, but there were a few extra personal touches we had to forgo due to these guidelines. The complimentary suite included in our package was a highlight--spacious, beautifully designed, and perfect for getting ready with friends and family. The bed was very comfortable, though the multi-head shower took some getting used to. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches: handwritten notes, complimentary champagne and chocolates at check-in, and another bottle of champagne along with a small piece from the Michael Aram Anemone collection on our wedding night--such a special gesture. Food for both the cocktail hour and reception met our expectations, and many of our guests had great things to say about the quality and hospitality. Our signature cocktails--the Old Fashioned and espresso martini--were solid and well-made. Overall, they truly took great care of us and helped make our wedding day feel special.

The centerpiece of the house's interior is a rotunda supported by four Corinthian columns and lit by a stained glass window located on the roof. Walking into the foyer you cant help but embrace the timeless grace, where every corner whispers of history and a bygone era. There is a quiet serenity to the space, as if time slows just a little bit inside. The modern touch added to the old renovated mansion does come with a bit of a sharp, sterile elegance of a modern mansion. The Parlor is a great place to enjoy a delicious craft cocktail and even better, ADULTS ONLY! There are also many other lovely seating arrangements throughout the property, including outdoors, and a few even come with fire pits. Regardless of your intentions for visiting the Heights House, I am quite confident there will be no disappointments, unless they have a private event. Cheers!

Everything is lovely and though it is all modern and sleek, it still feels fitting for the original era of the house. The cocktail area takes up most of the main floor, with a stand-up bar just off the entryway with a few tables and then a larger lounging area with sofas and chairs just beyond. The drinks are exceptionally good, and the spirits menu is creative. They also offer a few small plates. There is plenty of paved parking immediately next to the hotel for guests only, so that is not a hassle as it can be at some B&B/inn-type establishments. At check-in, you are offered a complimentary glass of sparkling wine to set the tone. The rooms are comfortable, but I will say that the entry-level ones are quite small (which is apparent on the website), but for the rates charged there isn't even a place to sit and read a book other than the bed. There's one small, delicate wicker chair that would be for tying shoes or whatever, but not lounging. The bed is luxuriously dressed, and there is drawer space and a minifridge, but no closet -- hanging items can go on hooks by the door out in the open. The bathroom is spacious enough, with a broad sink and elegant tilework. The lighting fixtures throughout are nifty. I found the breakfast sort of average for this type of place. I came later on, so perhaps there is more earlier, but there were a few pastries, some hard-boiled eggs, and fruit when I arrived. There's also a fancy coffee-drink contraption, but those aren't my thing so I left that alone. It's a very easy walk across the Boylan Bridge and down a couple of blocks to the area of the Dillon with several restaurants, and the performing arts center is not far beyond that. Location-wise, there's plenty that's walkable but also more an easy drive away.

For the additional $5, you can eat eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. We were happy to get this credit as it saved us a lot on breakfast in the mornings. The only silly part was that it was about $3 extra for pancakes or waffles. I've been to hotels all across the world and that's always included in the continental price. Odd and something to be aware of if you have littles, but didn't really matter to us. The gym and indoor pool were nice for the level of hotel. I'd recommend!
