I choose to give the hotel an opportunity to address the issue instead of going to corporate.I have told my employer to place me at The Courtyard when I'm back in February. You don't dehumanize people because your a manager. Do better Hilton and replace that housekeeping manager!

As with most locations, there's a restaurant on site and a small bar (only open at certain times though). There is also a pantry in case you want snacks at any time of day. The Courtyard Evansville East does a great job at meeting that for its location. The hotel is located approximately 5 miles from downtown Evansville - about a 10 minute drive without any major delays. It's located a bit off the freeway next to a few other hotels so it's pretty quiet. Parking is free and relatively plentiful (as long as they're not hosting a pyramid scheme sales pitch - which has happened twice over the last few weeks). The lobby is comfortable and fairly modern, with a small pantry area, a cafe/bar, and plenty of seating and tables. There's also a fire pit outside. Laundry room and gym round out the key amenities that I saw (as well as a pool). Front desk staff is usually courteous and efficient. The rooms are basic, but comfortable. Size is decent as well, enough for 2 people but probably not much more than that. Lighting is a bit dark, but that's the nature of the hotel. Bath amenities is basic, and they don't have an option to decline housekeeping for points which is a huge pain. Also, no bottled water in the room makes me sad - but there is a fridge, coffee, and tea.
