We stayed here while in town for the Frog Follies car show and WOW was our stay awesome! First let's talk location: - Close to major highways - Multiple food places within walking distance - Small lake with a walking path around it out back TBF - there are 4 or 5 other hotels in this same area around that lake so there are options. Rooms/Amenities: - King room had a desk, dresser, tv, microwave and fridge - Our room had a bathtub - which I LOVE as my tub at home sucks - Bedding was comfy as was the bed - Pool area was heated and very clean - They have a patio out back of the pool area with tables to sit and eat at - loved this! - Lobby is not quite big enough for the crowds while we were there... breakfast was way crowded - Breakfast food offering changed day to day and was a nice selection. I really enjoyed the mini waffles in blueberry flavor! - They offer fresh cookies in the lobby each evening, fruit, coffee and water available all day - Exercise room is big enough for multiple people and had a nice selection of dumbbells so I could do a strength workout versus just a treadmill - They also have an in house laundry room you can use (like a pay machine at the laundromat). I didn't need it this time, but have been in need before and loved that they had this available The staff was all friendly and helpful and they were dealing with a packed house everyday. Even the breakfast was well kept up and the tables were getting wiped down. Overall our stay here was stellar and I'd come back in a heartbeat. We stayed on the first floor and close to an exit door. I was concerned it may be loud and I would have trouble sleeping but it wasn't. We heard no noise from rooms next to ours or from the hallway - though we could smell the breakfast in our room each morning :) read more

Stayed here for one night and I was surprised with the low ratings. The hotel has been recently updated, and the rooms were pretty nice. The doors kept the noise level down and I got a decent nights rest, even though I was only there for a short night. I did not like the smaller bathroom and had trouble with my shower draining, but overall, it was a pretty average stay. read more

UPDATE: I called back as I was really bothered by this experience and the unwillingness of anyone wanting to do anything about it so I called the hotel and talked to the GM Greg who is such a nice guy by the way and he explained that a kid had an accident in the pool and that's why it was closed and there was some games going on which is why it was so busy and no pillows. He talked on the phone with Expedia himself and got them to process a refund. I will NEVER USE EXPEDIA AGAIN but I will come back to the hotel and give it another shot after talking with Greg. read more

No stars. Booked this hotel partially with points for my mom and aunt to come to town for a family event. They have stayed many times and always had a good experience. This time seemed like a different place. Check in experience incredibly lengthy besides not being busy. Seems people didn't know how to make keys or else the process not working. No luggage racks. Breakfast a joke/ coffee always cold. Pool cold. No laundry and not given an option to perhaps go to the Hilton Garden Inn across the street. Coffee maker in the room caked with mold. Just very run down with staff that did not seek to care. read more

I stayed there on December 6th. I normally stay here but this time wasn't good. My bed was infested with bed bugs, today still taking meds after seeing the doctor. This has been one of those events I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Called Hilton Corporate to tell them about the matter, suppose to hear from manager within 3 business days. May have to find another hotel in the future. read more

Room was ok. Fridge was not that cold. But my issue is whenever we have left a Hampton Inn we have picked up a to go bag with travel snacks. This time the Manager on duty very snottily told me they were for Honor members only-didn't ask if I was just wasn't going to give me one. I think she was too lazy to make them up because usually there is a bunch to grab but there were none. read more

Wow! What a dive. I just cannot believe Hilton allows this place to use the Hampton Inn brand. Talk about old. I mean everything was old. I complained about the small beds and learned that they don't even have Queens. Can't believe I didn't notice that when booking, so I guess that's on me. But 2 adults and 2 teens is tough w just 2 full sized beds, which are EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE. The worn out carpets, the green wallpaper throughout the halls and the awful multi-colored shades in the rooms further the idea that everything is on a tight budget around here. Then there's the front-desk staff. I interacted with them 3 times outside of check in/out. And their responses always seemed to be coached and with a tinge of "take it or leave it" attitude. For example, when i called to ask about daily housekeeping, I was simply told to stop by the desk for any extra towels or pillows. I thought it sounded like a coached pitch when someone asks about something that is pretty standard. Hampton Inn is normally my #2 choice when looking for hotels, so I've been to them often. This one is on the very low end of the scale. Glad our soccer tourney got snowed out so we only had to stay here for 1 night. read more

Welcome to 2016 Hampton Inn Evansville Picture this ,,, a road weary business traveler arriving via cab from the airport after 11 p.m. to the hotel she booked two-weeks in advance. She's ready for some rest before her 5 a.m. wake-up call. Me: I'd like to check-in for my reservation Front Desk: (Clicks around on the computer for 15 minutes, answers calls, helps other guests) she says "I need to get my associate". (Associate enters wearing a sweatshirt and backpack - obviously not the manager on duty) Me: Any issues? Front Desk: Well sometimes people book hotel rooms on the internet and that 'screws' us up Me: (Thinking in my head ,,, who doesn't book a hotel room on the internet?)I booked my room two weeks ago and I'm a Hilton rewards member so there's no issue -right? Front Desk: We don't have a room. I will call and see if I can get you one at another hotel. Me: Well that's fine but I don't have a vehicle. Front Desk: (Makes a few calls) I got you a room, we will pay and I guess you can walk. Me: (Defeated because now it is almost midnight) Ok ... the story ends as our heroine drags her luggage down the road at midnight to check into the Marriott who makes sure all of her needs are met. Moral: No 100% Satisfaction Guarantee and it's interesting that Hampton even wiped the reservation out of my Hilton profile. Do they think lack of evidence will make this story go away? No worries I have digital confirmation of the reservation and will be following up. read more

Hotel. The Hampton Inns have stepped up their game and this is becoming one of my more favorite places to lay my head when traveling on business. This location is good sized, in very good shape and has nice cozy beds and, most importantly to me, good showers with hot, but not scalding water. Bathrooms were clean, as was the room and everyone working there was very nice. Breakfast buffet was included and the whole experience was very good. There is an onsite gym if you are so inclined and free wifi if you are staying there. Prices were good overall Parking was plentiful. read more

Do not stay here! I'm here now! No internet! No hot water! They gave me the wrong room! Spend $10 more and stay at holiday inn.

The rooms were just renovated and they are beautiful! The staff is always welcoming and so friendly!

I have just had spinal surgery and we decided to stay here before driving home. We got to our room at three and couldn't open the door. Husband went down three separate times and got different keys. None of them worked. He had to convince the lady working to come up and help because nothing was working. We could not call the front desk to ask for help because the phone lines were not working. Meanwhile, I had to sit on the floor in the hallway with all of our luggage. Sitting on the floor for 40 minutes while we waited to get into a room caused extreme pain and discomfort which continued throughout our whole visit. I will have to go to the doctor as soon as I arrive home to see what damage has been caused. When we went to prepare the coffee pot for the morning we found mold and an old coffee pod with lots of dust and dirt. I let the front desk know and they brought a new coffee pot but seemed annoyed. I explained to them with Covid and everything I was concerned with how well our room was cleaned if the coffee pot was this filthy. The man who brought the coffee pot just shrugged and walked off. People in and out of the elevator having extremely loud conversations, the kids running around in the halls and the pain caused by sitting in the hallway for so long made it impossible to sleep. My husband and I booked a time to use the pool hoping to swim and relax and a group of teenagers came in and yelled at us for being in there. When I asked the front desk they said we were only ones booked in the pool and they weren't supposed to be there. I wish I could say I enjoyed my stay but I definitely did not. read more

We stayed there last week for a soccer tourney. The adults - not the kids were told to go in our rooms as early as noon because people were sleeping.... This was at noon!!! We were later told the same thing at 2PM! Nothing for breakfast was working - management was horrible! The only staff that was anywhere near pleasant was the woman who was changing the garbage cans and cleaning in the morning. Everyone else was horrible. No hot tub - pool was riddled with band aids. We're officially dumping Hampton in favor of Holiday Inn Express - hands down and not looking back. read more

I'm going to get straight to the point. Neil, who works at the front desk, needs to be held accountable for how he speaks to guests. We stayed at this property because my veteran father had come to town and he needs my assistance. I've never been talked down to and disrespected by a hotel employee like I was by him during our stay. I would also encourage him to call female guests by their names and not hun or honey. Surprisingly, his attitude and tone changed whenever my family was around. I highly doubt he would've spoke to me this way if my husband was there with me. He actually came to my room where I was starting with my two young children and told me "you need to leave now." We had two rooms and were scheduled to check out the following day. I even showed him the booking information where we had paid for the two rooms and he still wouldn't believe me. I will not be staying at this property again due to his poor customer service skills and attitude. I felt so uncomfortable that I decided to record the conversation on my phone. I will gladly provide this recording to the corporate office if they'd like to have it. Ultimately, I had to have my dad come to the front desk and show him the same information I had already shared with Neil. My dad has severe PTSD and doesn't need any additional stress in his life. It's unfortunate that Neil wouldn't take my word or even accept the emailed confirmation as proof without me bringing dad into this. If Neil dislikes his job this much, he should seek out other employment. I sincerely hope he is held accountable. read more

No problems. Clean, nice people, edible free breakfast. Nice towels, good TV, coffee pot in room. No booze, no bar. Excellent location.

I'm a regular visitor to Evansville. I'm a Hampton diamond member and, as of today, will no longer stay at this hotel. It's poorly maintained. Since I stay at Hilton properties for work, I accumulate points fairly quickly. I use them for "getaway weekends" for my husband and me. We spent two nights here this past weekend. We've been here several times, but I noticed some things thus time. On the plus side: they are resurfacing the parking lot, appear to be fixing the roof on the pool, they've expanded the breakfast selections, and the staff are very friendly. Down sides: The pool was very heavily chlorinated, I'm still itching over 24 hours later. The rooms could be cleaner - I found a lot of hair in the bathtub (ick), and the carpet/furniture needs to either have a deep cleaning or needs to be replaced. Eggs at breakfast were Sahara desert dry, btw. Worst part - and this isn't the hotel's total fault, but it was loud. There was screeching and door slamming Saturday night, and according to another couple we spoke with, there was a fight on their floor on Friday night. I think we will do the Hilton Garden Inn next time read more

Kameelah is awesome at the front desk. Hotel is clean and the lake/pond outside is awesome. Clean, friendly what more could you want. The staff is one of the best Ive seen at Hampton Inn. Not that the rest are bad, but each employee was a delight to deal with and Kameelah on my last night of a week of being there was one of the best. Her recommendations and personality was great. I travel a lot and it's nice to talk with people that are helpful because they want to be not because it is their job. She made me feel welcome. read more

Horrible!!! The beds are so small, look like a double not a queen. Everyone in our party got a bad nights sleep. Also upon walking in our bed smelled like cigarettes which gave me a headache. One day my friend called to the desk and asked for a towel and the receptionist said "Yeah, you'll have to come down here and get it though." The whole vibe of the staff is very "I don't want to be here, I'm just trying to make enough money to leave this place for good." I left my shoes at this hotel and they first said they weren't there so I just bought a new pair. Days later they called me and said they were shipping them to me. The man wanted my credit card information which I felt hesitant giving over the phone. Even after I asked how much the shipping would be he said "don't worry about it it shouldn't be more than ten bucks" so I reluctantly went forward with the transaction. Fast forward a week later and IT WAS EXPRESS SHIPPED FOR 27 DOLLARS CHARGED TO MY CARD! I called and tried to figure out how to settle this miscommunication on their part and no one would return my calls. This experience has led me to book through Holiday Inn from now on. The whole situation was so shady and showed the lack of communication between staff and between the management and the customers. Really unhappy people work here which unfortunately made our stay very unpleasant. Also if you have any good allergies forget about the breakfast. read more

Absolutely gorgeous hotel with welcoming and friendly staff! I definitely recommend it and I will be back!

Great hotel. Very clean. Good breakfast. The lady in charge at breakfast was very kind and helpful with my children. We stayed 2 nights.

This is the best Hampton Inn that I have ever stayed in. I wasn't expecting this great of stay. The rooms were clean and modern. The manger and staff were super friendly and accommodating to our big family and the bfast was good.
