Floor had stains on it....God knows from what...

Not the greatest but it will work. It's downtown and close enough to the trolley and night scene. Didn't get a chance to sample their breakfast so can't comment on that. There are a few places open late at night so if you arrive late like we did you'll have to get something delivered. Suite was nice enough. Clean-ISH! Towels weren't as fluffy as most upscale hotels. Just in case that's something that floats your boat. Good enough to do the job and great location. There's a Walgreens less than 5 minutes walk away if you ever forget anything at home. Good hotel. I'd come back, IF I had to....

Nice view outside my room huh? And no, I don't smoke. They came with the room

Dirty rooms. Nothing in the rooms really looks or feels clean. When I checked into my room there was handprints on the desk and you could tell it had not been wiped down. There are stains on the floor and the rooms feel gross. From what I hear this is what you can expect from any of these older hotels here. Just has a really run down feeling in it. I would expect a little more from the Marriott, but I guess not.

I would most likely not stay here again. We checked in and the guy was not very friendly and pretty short with us. It was a busy day but being a little friendly goes a long way. Our room was in the old Kress building on the 5th floor. I took the elevator up to the 5th floor and could not find our room. I called the front desk and asked him where it is. He said you take the elevator to the 3rd floor walk to the end of the hallway and then take a different elevator to 5. Taking two elevators to your room is ridiculous enough but why didn't he tell us that? There was no way to know to do that unless he told us and he didn't. We get in the room and it looks good. First thing I do is use the restroom and the toilet overflowed! Not just clogged but it overflowed onto the floor and I had to throw every towel in the room down there. I called the front desk and he said he would send up maintenance. I said I wanted to change rooms (I didn't consider that bathroom to be sanitary after the toilet overflowed!) and he said he would send new keys up. The maintenance guy brought up the new keys along with a plunger and he started plungering before we even left the room. The new room was bigger but had no view. That room worked out fine. The free breakfast was good. They definitely cater to Europeans with things like lunch meat and nutella. Parking is $15 a day for a lot across the street. Parking should be free.

The hotel itself offers large, clean, and spacious rooms, which made the stay comfortable and relaxing. Everything felt well-maintained, and the rates were excellent for the quality provided. Now let's talk about the food--because it definitely deserves recognition. The salmon bites were absolutely delicious, and the cheesecake was just as impressive. The catering throughout the event was well-executed and flavorful, which added a nice touch to the overall experience. The event space was also well done. The setup was clean, organized, and created a great atmosphere for the conference. The vibe throughout the weekend was positive and engaging, and the DJ really brought it all together with a great mix of music across multiple genres. Spacious, clean rooms Excellent pricing for the stay Delicious catered food (salmon bites + cheesecake standout) Well-organized event space Great music and overall vibe This was a well-rounded experience, and I would definitely stay here again--whether for an event or just a getaway

The rooms have always been clean and offer some great views of the city or river on the higher floors. If you want more space I recommend going for 2 queen bed room as the King rooms while lovely can be tight. It is a little further from Beale street than most downtown hotels which is a plus for me. The South main area has many cute shops and dining options still in walking distance to enjoy plus a grocery store around the corner if needed.

Customer service was excellent from start to finish--attentive, professional, and welcoming without being overbearing. The drinks were fire , well-crafted and balanced, clearly made by bartenders who know what they're doing. Food-wise, don't skip the salmon bites--absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. They're one of those dishes you keep thinking about after you leave. I have the ability to choose my own room based on what I booked. I chose the corner room because typically they are larger, but come to find out that this particular room is much smaller than the standard kings elsewhere in the property, and the photos do not apply to the room type that I booked. I'm a Hilton diamond member, and anticipated an upgrade, which was not available, even though the hotel was not sold out. The restaurant and bar have an 18% auto gratuity that was not disclosed until I received my check. Have they not added the gratuity to it, I would've tipped my standard 20%. Probably the biggest issue I had was the lack of hot water. When I contacted the front desk, the agent informed me that I would need to run the shower for an average of 15 to 20 minutes for the hot water to start, which is ridiculous that they do not have a larger enough boiler to accommodate the entire hotel property. I asked to speak to the manager on duty and she told me that they were not available and that if I have further concerns, I need to take it up with the hotel general manager in the morning. No compensation was offered, and she said there's no point in moving rooms because the hot water situation will be the same regardless of the room chosen. While this property was in policy within my corporate travel guidelines, I will not be staying here again.

Beale St, Rendezvous, The Peabody, the riverfront are all within walking distance. Some of the places within a block or two. Location really couldn't be better. We elected to take advantage of the valet service which i found to be very reasonably priced. The person who checked us in was awesome. She was very friendly and helpful, she offered some really good suggestions for things to do/see. The room was the biggest room I have ever had in a hotel in my life and I've stayed in a lot of hotels. I can assure you that I did not select the highest room class when I booked this either. The thing was literally a LOFT with the bed and bathroom above the kitchen/living room area. There were large windows that provided a view of the city and even the river! The shower was great as well. There was plenty of space for using your own soaps. The water pressure was also better than expected. The shower was easy to use and figure out the towels were big and soft. Everything was spotless. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
