I love the comfy beds and the suites with the tub-not the walk-in shower however. Hilton did well with the keyless door entry through their phone app, so that make check-in and out so seamless and convenient!

Had a very mixed experience from this hotel and though I do not really want to write this review I…read morefeel it neccicary due to the staffs disgusting. Upon checking in the staff was very kind and welcoming. Walking into the room it is very dated some things seem missing and things like the counter were crooked, little to no water preasures at the sink, but it was fairly clean and nothing to really complain about. During the stay I used the pull bar which immediately snapped from the bottom and I fell with the bar in hand which completely came off from the wall. I probably should have notified the front desk, but it was late and didn't want to be bothered or moved. The staff came in later that day to replace towels, I figured they would have notified maintenance or something, but no one said anything and I'd be leaving shortly anyway. When I checked out I mentioned when I pulled myself up on the pull bar in the bathtub it came loose and would need to be repaired before booking the room again. The front desk didn't indicate anything and seemed friendly. Hours later I get a huge damage fee added to the bill. I called asked about, it and they just said there was damage to the room and because I didn't immediately report it, there is a fee, he indicated they knew about it and had taken photos, but again never said or did anything... I let him know the anchors at the top of the bar were certainly not adequate (didn't appear to be gripping anything except the shower pannel and drywall-see photo) and the screws at the bottom of the bar were completely rusted-see photo. He continued to gaslight me which really set me off. This is property liability and negligence. The condition of the tub and area is obviously not well maintained. The cheap coating they used to cover rust in the tub is flaking off so much that the tub was already clogged with white flakes prior to even trying to use it. Still its my fault, and when asked about safty inspections he says they do them constantly, well this is maintenance failure and I wasn't going to make anything of it untill getting this charge which they refused to do anything about untill maybe Monday. I did contact corporate and they basically said the same thing no one there could do anything untill maybe later. I offered to send photos and they didn't want them. Maybe they want a photo of my butt with a bruse on it? What if this happened to an elderly person who could have suffered serious injuries or someone who was looking for a pay out... they wouldn't have notified the front desk they would have called a lawyer for premises liability and obvious negligence in addition they showed zero care. Never asked if I was ok only issue charges for their own safty failures. Since this happened I feel confident there are probably many safty issues at this premises. Corporate or even the insurer of this location should send out their own safty inspection to minimize liability. The way they went about this is simply underhanded and wrong, they have no issue issuing the fees without a manager that is capable of doing anything, but "can't do anything about it until later" for everything else. I let them know I would issuing complaints and contacting the CC to dispute this charge in addition I will be contacting city code compliance. Instead of offering an apology and fixing the issue for the next guest they do the opposite, add insult to injury. I will attach photos and you decide, do you want to stay at a place that allows this, knows about it, but won't do anything other than charge you for it. Notice the bottom screws there is no fresh metal exposed so these were deffinitly completely rusted through.

I was warmly greeted by their team at check in and was in my room in no time. Room was clean and comfortable and pretty quiet considering how close we were to the interstate. Interestingly, liners were staged for use in trash cans but not in the cans. Even more interesting is the inability to connect to their wifi. Not too big of a deal as I had nothing pressing to take care of, but as a Bonvoy member I was unable to access despite my credentials. To be fair, I realize internet services may have been impacted by SC tornadoes spawned by Hurricane Helene. Breakfast was abundant and good. Eggs, sausage, sweet waffles and other items made the meal good and satisfying. The best part of the stay? The SpringHill Suites Team! Cheerful and accommodating! I'd return to this property.

I've stayed at a lot of Marriott properties, and honestly... this was probably my least favorite…read more The rooms feel outdated, and in my specific room (509), there were no accessible outlets near the bed. They had USB ports in the lamps, but it's 2026, who's still using those older USB plugs like that? That alone was frustrating. To be fair, the room itself was clean, but stepping outside into the hallway was a different story. There was what looked like the craziest stain in the carpet, not fresh, but clearly the aftermath of a rough night for somebody. The wild part is we had to walk past it for five days, so whatever cleaning happened clearly didn't fully take care of it. On top of that, the hallways had a light marijuana smell that lingered throughout the building. They do have a pool, but it had to be drained twice during our stay. It also didn't help that kids were running around unaccompanied, not just in the pool, but also in the gym, which ended up getting trashed too. And honestly, calling it a pool is being generous. It's just big enough to qualify, and even then it feels like the bare minimum, closer to a kiddie pool than anything worth using. Now let's talk breakfast, because this one was all over the place. Day one: sausage, oatmeal, boiled eggs. Day two: scrambled eggs and dry turkey sausage. Day three: scrambled eggs, thick cut bacon, corned beef hash. By day five, I just skipped it. And yes, there were waffles every day if that's your thing, but I don't eat those. Honestly, I don't understand why they couldn't just keep it simple, eggs, potatoes, and a meat. Some of the options felt random, and at times, the food just wasn't good. One thing I will give them, the staff was great. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and check-in was quick and smooth. That was easily the best part of the stay. The location is solid too, right by a mall and plenty of food options, which made things convenient. Overall, for the price, it wasn't terrible, but I'd definitely pay a little more next time to stay somewhere else. It didn't ruin the trip, but it also didn't feel like a true Marriott experience. Definitely a one and done for me.
