Over the few years I or my extended family have stayed at this property and its always been a great stay. It was a quiet location until One Loudoun was built out as it is now...and no surprise the property is even more busier. First my thanks to GM Jacob Alibrandi who fit me in with a nice upgrade. He runs a really nice property (1 minor hiccup with Housekeeping explained later). Breakfast is the highlight of the property especially because of Rohina Salman who manages to greet all of her guests, keep the buffet fresh and full and allows everyone I saw to leave very happy. Given news of various Marriott cutbacks, this property delivers a really good buffet and I heard the same from several guests. The rooms are spacious and well laid out with a desk. The smart TV is nice and a differentiator for Marriott. Small but efficient gym. Looks like someone walked away with some weights (10 pounds) and you have to remind staff to ensure clean wipes are available especially in this pandemic environment. Lots of parking outside and easy access to One Loudoun and just about anywhere with Route 7 and Route 28. One suggestion on Housekeeping. Its every other day but you have to notify the front desk. I did and was missed even though I also personally spoke to the 2 ladies in the morning. Mohammed the night shift person was king to provide me clean towels and a refreshment. The next day it was cleaned. A really nice stay. I provided gratuities to Housekeeping and Ms. Salman just to show my appreciation. I hope other guests do the same.

10/23/21 Nice quiet and comfortable hotel. This hotel is set up for Halloween; as well, as taking clientele to different gatherings. I only saw a little bit of the hotel while waiting for clients, but the men's bathroom was spot on in cleanliness. The Virgin Mary herself, would be proud to go in there and take a dump....*thank you R. Lee Ermey.* I appreciated the offer of a cold bottle of water from the front desk associate. Sorry I did not catch her name, but her hair looked red and she looked to be 5'8 or 5'9 in heels. The hospitality here is good. I also have never seen a front desk area so close to the main entrance. Nicely done Marriott.

    Part of office area.

I have traditionally stayed at a different Marriott while visiting the Ashburn area but it happened to be fully booked this particular week, so I decided upon SpringHill Suites as an alternative. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay! Parking was very convenient, lobby was modern and clean, front desk members professional and pleasant. My room was quite spacious -- there were 2 beds and a separate super cute office space with desk and sofa. The shower and the toilet each had their own areas within the room (they're not housed together, which is different). Gym open 24/7 -- 2 treadmills, an elliptical, and a bunch of free weights. Small indoor pool next to it. Some fast foods options directly across the street and One Loudoun within a mile (lots of restaurants and shops) - this is an awesome neighborhood and very safe (I used to live in Ashburn/Sterling). One minor gripe: coffee was only available in the hotel lobby between 5-9am. Despite the pandemic, this seemed unusual as most hotels I've used still have coffee available almost all day, if not 24/7. Dining, of course, is not operating at this time beyond cold foods served at breakfast. Also: you can very easily hear noises from rooms above -- walking, bathroom flushing, etc. I am a sound sleeper, so it didn't bother me too much but could be an issue for others. Decent and reasonably priced for a short stay.

Just checked in here for a wedding nearby. This trip will put me over 356 nights in a Marriott in 4 years. The hotel looks new and the Springhill line has gotten so much better lately. Lot of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff so far has been friendly. The only thing so far I've noticed is the gym looked less than killer. The equipment was newer but not very much and not a very big space.

Manisha and Prashsant, owners of Stone Manor Inn, were personally involved in making sure all went smoothly with our cocktail and dinner party, and it most certainly did! SMI is a lovely old country inn on 14 acres, I believe, with a number of different venues (indoors and out) for meetings, parties, and weddings. The rooms (7 in total) were eclectic, in a good way. All four of their largest rooms that we occupied were spacious, with king beds and spa tubs with separate showers. All were well maintained and clean upon check-in. We had no complaints. I'm not sure when we will return to the area, but when we do, we will not hesitate to return!

I was on the fence to book this place given its hefty price tag, and glad I went for it and completely agree with the glowing 5 star reviews. The bubbly host Manisha is very warm and welcoming. She cordially gave us a 20 min tour around the property, which was built in 1908, and even gave me a bonus tour of the other rooms afterwards. She kindly answered all of our questions and didn't rush us. The Peacecock Room is the most spacious and best room (aside from the bridal suite), elaborately decorated in peacocks. We loved it! The little touches like the handmade soap, a set of wine glasses, and a wine opener made the stay so memorable and special. While the rooms aren't temperature controlled, the electric flameless fireplace kept the room warm. The double capacity jacuzzi was perfect for my hubby and I and even had lights (some of the other rooms have smaller jacuzzi, so be sure to check). The rooms were clean minus a couple of lady bugs and stink bugs (which is too be expected out in the country). Dr. Fauci's assistant stayed here and Manisha informed us of the extensive sanitation process, even the pillows and decorations are quarantined for 6 days! The backyard is well groomed and really spacious with a nice patio and heat lamp, which kept us warm sitting outside in the frigid winter. Our dog loved running around! You can see the stars and constellations really well. It would make a great wedding venue! The Christmas decorations around the property are really nice. The owners really go the extra mile and put a lot of TLC into the property. The 6 course breakfast is delicious and bursting with flavor. Between the veggie quiche, cheesy potatoes, scone, pancakes, yogurt, and fresh OJ, I was stuffed! The fresh butterscotch scone was divine and devoured my mine and my hubby's! The cheesy potato had a nice spicy kick. Everything was so fresh and delicious. All the courses come out at once on a large tray. While my hubby and I chose to sit at the communal table (the chairs are roughly 6 feet apart), you can take the tray up to your room. Manisha and her family greeted us and thoroughly explained the dishes and chatted with us for a bit, even her son made an appearance! The bed and breakfast has a nice bar with wine, cider, and alcohol based on an honor code system. Water and soda is complementary, they even had Coke 0! The complementary fudgy brownies by the breakfast area during the day were sweet and tasty. Again the little complimentary stuff gives this bed and breakfast a nice resort feel. Very relaxing stay and looking forward to coming back!

The staff was polite and helpful, the rooms and common areas were clean, and the location is very convenient with stores and restaurants nearby. Breakfast is okay, but very limited. You can definitely find something to eat, but don't expect much variety, especially if you stay longer than a few days. The biggest issue was the kitchen equipment. The room includes cookware, but the frying pans, pots, and utensils are extremely low quality. I cook almost every day and I have honestly never had food burn this badly in my life, even while cooking with oil and being careful. I eventually had to go buy my own frying pan just to survive the stay. Attached photo of the pan speaks for itself. I don't think I've been to a hotel in a long time where I noticed that the staff care so much. Note that this is a Residence Inn and not some luxury hotel brand in the Marriott fleet. They had some long-term or very frequent guests who are known by the staff and were greeted accordingly when they came into the hotel or arrived at breakfast. Being my first time didn't keep the friendly staff from asking how I was, where I was visiting from, and whether I needed anything. The breakfast was good and convenient for the location -- the complex that this hotel sits in has surprisingly limited food options and I was using rideshares to get anywhere on this trip. The staff at the breakfast were constantly monitoring the area and making sure dishes were cleared and food was available. The elevators worked, my room was clean and quiet and I couldn't ask for much more. While I probably wouldn't go outside to run in the area -- too much traffic and parking lot -- there is a gym at the hotel open 24 hours. (They also have a putting green...)

There was plenty of lighting in the room too. They had Pluto TV, which I love watching when in hotels. The only issues were with the bathroom amenities... The bath towel was about 2/3 the size of a normal bath towel and they didn't have any bar soap, which I prefer for using in the shower. Tru by Hilton Ashburn Proves "Select Service" Can Outshine Full-Service Luxury…read moreI spent this past weekend staying at two different Hilton properties while hitting Diamond Status, and the Tru by Hilton Ashburn absolutely stole the show. While some full-scale Hiltons (like the Christiana) have shifted toward constant "nickel and diming" and hidden fees, this Tru property remains a masterclass in hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the service was seamless. A huge thank you to the General Manager, Front Office Manager, and the entire front desk team--the culture of excellence here is obvious. Unlike other properties where you feel like a transaction, the staff here treated us with genuine warmth. We were even surprised with a thoughtful basket of goodies, a gesture that many "premium" hotels have abandoned. Why this property wins: Zero Nickel and Diming: No hidden parking fees or petty charges for arriving slightly early. They actually value your loyalty. Top-Tier Staff: Every interaction with the FOM and front desk was professional and welcoming. Prime Location: Perfectly situated and incredibly convenient. Consistency: Regardless of your status, they treat every guest with respect and high-level service. If you're choosing between a "full-scale" Hilton and this Tru, choose the Tru. The leadership here has created a service-first environment that puts legacy hotels to shame. We will be back!

(The sauna was closed during our visit, but there was still plenty to enjoy.) One of my favorite touches was the complimentary beverages and snacks. Guests can enjoy mimosas or champagne, tea, infused water, and light snacks while unwinding between services. It's the kind of thoughtful hospitality that elevates the entire experience. I booked a 50-minute massage and added aromatherapy for an additional $20. The aromatherapy was well worth it and added another layer of relaxation to the treatment. We stayed here for three nights for a family member's wedding. overall we had an okay stay here,…read morebut there were several things that made this a hotel I would not choose if I were in the area again. First, it is an older hotel, but the entire lobby area was still nice. You could tell the room we were in was older, but everything was clean. The beds were a bit worn with the mattresses a bit too soft, and the toilet always seemed uncertain if it was going to flush completely. The shower was great though. I did get only one use of the body wash in the shower before it was empty which tells me that housekeeping was not on top of checking and refilling it. To me that's a small thing that makes a huge difference. Oh, at least three of us, in three different rooms, had issues with our key cards randomly deactivating too. The man that we checked in with was very friendly, but the service, otherwise, was not great. One morning, our family member done the hall woke up to find that someone had vomited outside their hotel room overnight. They called the front desk to ask someone to clean it up, and first it took at least an hour, maybe more, before someone came. Then when they did, they seemed to clean it with just water and then put a fan to dry it. This made it smell horribly all throughout the hall as well as in my family member's room. I don't even have a strong sense of smell but it was intense even for me. We happened to be in the room all morning and afternoon, as we were getting hair and makeup done for the wedding, so it was something we dealt with the whole time. They came maybe an hour later and added some baking soda to the carpet but it didn't help. I'm not sure why they didn't use an actual cleaner that could maybe have covered that scent. As far as I know, there was also no compensation offered for this gross inconvenience which would have been obvious to anyone walking by. Breakfast was very confusing and disorganized. Our reservations came with the breakfast. It was a seat yourself kind of situation with a buffet. But the server was still supposed to bring drinks. The first morning, my daughter and I ended up with drinks because our family members had arrived before us and were one of the only ones in the room at the time. The second morning I had no interaction from a server, and we had to track them down for a drink as well as follow up when they continued to do other things, seemingly forgetting our drinks. The third morning was the same. This time I was offered a drink, but then after she walked around handing out a bunch of drinks and went back to working at the bar, I had to go ask for our drinks again. Keeping in mind that breakfast doesn't necessarily come with the stay but you can pay for breakfast, it seems the servers should have been that much more on top of making sure all the guests were taken care of. Also, interestingly, when served, orange juice was automatically given, but I was never able to find water anywhere. Two of our family members chose to use the shuttle to go from the airport to the hotel. Despite being 10-15 min away, they waited over an hour to be picked up. There was apparently a reputation, as noted by the other shuttles from other hotels, that this one has to be called and can take a while. Given all these pros and cons, it would be okay to stay here if you just needed a place to sleep but not if you're looking for great hospitality.
