After the second service they oversprayed my black currant bush and it died. I called them multiple times about it and they said that somebody will come over to inspect the bush. Nobody came. We canceled the service and only after 5 weeks we got the refund. And nobody showed up here to inspect the bush. And we did not get any compensation for the killed bush. read more

I have used Spring Green for several years. While there have been a few issues they always addressed them and when needed gave me credit. They consistently call me the day before a service (at my request) so I know they are coming. My grass is very lush. I am almost mowing too often with all the rain we've been getting. read more

Killed my lawn after putting application down. Called 4 times and never got a manager. Poor customer service. WE will call you back. Lol. Don't use this company. read more

1 star is too generous! Mosquito Service only lasts for 3-4 days, if that! They've provided 2 mosquito services thus far, and each only lasted 3-4 days, NOT the 3 weeks as stated. Customer Service is NOT helpful. They keep pushing us off to call in another week or so, closer to that next 3-week mark for the next scheduled application -- so, what's the point?!?! Meanwhile, we're being eaten alive. We will be researching other companies offering better service. read more

Absolutely the worst company ever. Got a mailer and signed up for the 7 courses of service Waited and waited. No service. Called and they said they would get someone out in 3 days That was a week ago. Now my lawn is looking horrible and it's late for all the pre season treatment Thank goodness I didn't pre pay. That would have really been a nightmare Run, don't walk away from this company read more

VERY PUSHY business practice! They would call the day before and tell you they are coming even when I didn't call them or want them! This happened many, many times! They assume that their previous service is a contract for the next one, which I find unethical. They claim that YOU HAVE TO CALL IN ORDER TO STOP THE SERVICE, otherwise for the next 100 years they will be coming out and billing you! They are like lawn care zombies! Can't get rid of them. They just keep coming at ya! lol They claim that their customers prefer this kind of practice. I do not. If I want a service I will call. Today customer service representative literally hung up on me after I called about another bill and asked her to email me a contract stating that I allowed them to work on my property in April! AVOID! * AVOID! * AVOID! * AVOID! read more

Scheduled (3) treatments, was told someone would come out within 7 days at the most for the first treatment, and yet no one has come out. Spoke to a gentleman on the phone who told us something different than what we were told on the scheduling call and did not make it right. Cancelled services do to lack of professionalism and no customer service. Update: another phone call and the gentleman on the call basically told me I'm unreasonable. DO NOT RECOMMEND read more

This service ruined my lawn. I had more weeds and crabgrass after using them for a year and a half than I have ever had previously. I called to cancel and they requested that I give them another 30 days to come out and make the grass good again, as a good will gesture. They came out free of charge one day for a total of 5 minutes to spray. Three days later came back out and called it a charged service. When I then called to cancel and dispute the recent $120 charge, I was told that there was nothing they could do to remove the recent charge, even though I called and told them I was cancelling! Horrible business practice and horrible lawn care service. read more

Thank God for the Ring videos! Guy didn't do his job. Never sprayed. Weeds growing everywhere. Which was not normal in my yard. A guy finally came back. Sprayed sections! Then put on invoice "second spray". Argued again on phone. Was told to send video. Which I did. Manager stated the guy was new and "accidentally " clicked that he sprayed. Doesn't make sense. They claimed that after all the calls to get this fixed it was now too late for the 2nd spray. Should have figured this company was horrible when I originally asked for a lawn consultation and was told no- that they knew what they were doing. So much more to write but I'm done here. read more

for several years Spring green did a good job, but this year very poor lawn care and no responsibility to put it right. When contacting them their customer care was nonexistent. My lawn is the same, the sprinkler system is the same and I thought the lawn care supplied by Spring Green was the same, however, clearly I was mistaken. This company does not care about the individual they are clearly focused on the money and not your lawn care. I suggest everyone who uses's this company should reassess what they are receiving in lawn care. I cannot believe I am the only one who is receiving poor lawn care. read more

I used them for a couple of years. Found the service to be marginal at best. I finally cancelled due to lack of integrity. They are CONSTANTLY trying to up sell you on their services. If you ask them for a one-off service like aeration or pest control, you are locked into it every year, even though an agreement was never signed. I found this unethical so I cancelled. Be very careful with these people. read more

We have been using Spring Green for 3 or 4 years now (not sure) but can honestly report back that the lawn continues to look fantastic. Was inspecting it yesterday (after the recent fertilizer service) and it is thick, healthy and very green. Looks fantastic. Great company to deal with. Any question or concern is attended to immediately and provide an excellent service overall. I pay upfront for the whole season and they arrive do the service and leave notes on the door ! The best in the business ! Don't hesitate to engage them vs others read more

The best service EVER! So pleased to take advantage of the introductory offer and benefit from this great team!!

Last year our neighbors lawn looked awful. This year was weed free, thick & green. Ours looked terrible. Dandelions everywhere. I happened to notice Spring Green treating there lawn. Spoke with tech. Called for service. After first treatment within days 80% of weeds gone & greener grass. Just had our second treatment couple weeks ago & we are 95% weed free. Very happy with service. And will continue using them yearly read more

We have used Spring-Green for 14 yes now. They do a fantastic job and have reasonable prices.

If no stars was an option, We would give them zero. We've used Spring Green for the past couple of years but this year has been horrible. We have weeds in my yard and between my husband and myself, we have called at least 8 times. Spring Green claims that we have never called about the weeds. The customer service reps like to tell you that the regional manager will get right back to you. We're sill waiting for 2 of them to call us. They did send someone out to spray but it was our regular spraying and not for the weeds only. I've left 3 messages for Jeff at the Wauconda, IL office to call me and I'm still waiting for a call back. The service is terrible. read more

Very good service. They do a good job taking care of the lawn. I don't have any weeds and the best looking yard in the neighborhood.

We have been with Spring Green for 3 years and they have always done a great job. We have seen a noticeable improvement in our lawn since they started working on it. engaged Spring Green for my lawn care this spring . I paid for the season up front (received a discount for doing so). Unfortunately that was several weeks ago and I have hear from them nor have they shown up, I have sent emails to Scott Fitzgerald, Manager of Spring-Green Lawn Care in Wauconda (main office told me he was over this area when I called them) never heard back and got a response . Thankfully I put it on a charge card so I can cancel the payment, read more

Horrible lawn service! After each application needed to call to have re-sprayed and still resulted in weeds. The only solution water - which was done every other day. Communication from manager was unacceptable and rude. Did not come back as was informed. Terminated contact. Will say the customer service representative was extremely apologetic and did everything within her power to correct the situation. WOULD NOT recommend this service to anyone. read more

Spring Green is great and always leaves such helpful advice! My guy here in McHenry is wonderful and always so helpful and polite!

I just had my lawn application on Friday. I did not receive a reminder call on Thursday, nor was the flag posted on my lawn after service was complete. I later found the flag was placed at the edge of the driveway by the mailbox and hidden behind the garbage can, with less than three inches above ground. When I arrived home from work, I let my dogs out not knowing that they had fertilized. My poor dog had a terrible allergic reaction and had to be rushed to the vet. After two shots, several antibiotics, a spray to heal the skin where her fur came off, and a vet bill of $175, I just cancelled my subscription. Thanks Spring Green, I will not use your services again. read more

I received no less than 3 mailers from Spring Green with special first time customer pricing specifically for my address. I was able to go to their website, sign up and pay for the service at the special pricing. I received a call later that day informing me they could not offer the pricing and the best they could do was a price that was almost 90% more than the mailers. Talk about bait and switch. Terrible business practice. If you cannot do the work for the price you are a sending out maybe you shouldn't be sending a price in the first place. Recommend to stay away unless you like to do business with shady companies. read more

Signed up for weed & feed this year for my lawn, and my yard has never looked worse. My lawn is covered in crabgrass, and other weeds as well. Service started on 4/6, but 2nd treatment didn't follow until 6/24, after I called to complain - 2.5 months to get 2nd treatment! I made another call during the first week of July, complaining of a crabgrass outbreak on my lawn, as well as other weeds. Tech came on 7/13 to spray weeds, but come to find out, never addressed my crabgrass issue. I called twice more, to report a now, massive outbreak of crabgrass, and emailed management on 7/27. A tech came a few days later, 8/5, but treatment isn't making a dent, at this late date, & it appears that several areas weren't even sprayed. I'm embarrassed of my lawn. It certainly doesn't look like I pay for weed & feed service! Management has ignored by last 2 emails for resolution, and an invite to investigate the lawn. read more
