I ordered 8 cubic yards of quality topsoil. After almost 2 weeks of waiting because "the material had to be filtered", a oil-leaking truck dumped a load of stuff that included over a literal ton of clay. Though I anticipated that there might be a few clay lumps, maybe even a couple the size of a baseball, I ended up with a mound of heavy clay including several blobs that I had to use to hands to lift.
Out of 8 cubic yards of topsoil purchased, I got less than 7 of usable material and now I have to dispose of over 2000 pounds of clay (google estimate of the weight of 1 cubic yard of clay is 1701-2970 pounds).
When I called to ask why this obviously unfiltered junk was delivered, I barely got two sentences out before I was told that the ride (less than 3 miles from Springfield topsoil to the delivery point) resulted in the blobs. I put a brick on the pile in the pictures for scale, so anyone can see these are not little lumps or even baseball sized lumps.
Bottom line:
Lousy product, oily delivery, rude people who do not care about customers read more
