Buyers BEWARE.... After my recent interaction with their customer service, I'll say this, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM !!!!!!!!!!!!! After purchasing some magazines a while back, I was finally able to get out to trying them out, and came to find out they sold me the incorrect magazines!!! I specified I owned a 1911 A1, which is a FULL SIZED hand gun, I got sent "Commander" magazines, they will not feed ammo into the weapon, but the magazines DO FIT. Now, I explained this in an e-mail and after they review the situation, will not correct it, not even as a gesture of goodwill or (lets face it, it costs them NOTHING to EXCHANGE for the correct model, even if there was a price difference, i would have paid, just as a matter of fairness) they offer NOTHING. These magazines camre ot me in simple zip lock bags, no pachaging like you might expect, which means, they save money on blister packs, etc. NOW, these magazines in question are in BRAND NEW, UNUSED CONDITION. totally resellable. I'd be hard pressed to buy anything, considering I was willing to buy 5 more, had they exhanged the 1st incorrect 5, I ended up at their competitor for better mags at a lower price, of which, I BOUGHT 5, and plan on buying another 10. Also, they lost a loyal client in me, as my 1st 1911 i purchased back in 1990 from them, and I wanted to buy a second unit, and their AR, but not anymore, I'll be buying Ruger or Smith & Wesson from now on. read more

I own multiple SA guns. Had an issue with a recoil assembly on my emp and they took care of it. First issue I've ever had where I needed warranty work. They were awesome to deal with and took care of it without hesitation. Thanks SA!!! read more

Call me un-American but I simply purchased an XDM .45 Compact Elite with carry case and 3 extra magazines. All 5 magazines that came with the gun were 9 rounds instead of 10 rounds which is incorrect. I had to ship them all back, wait until they received them until they shipped the correct ones. The representative actually told me it is a slow process to ship them back to me. You would think they would expedite them for the inconvenience. When I originally contacted a supervisor about replacing the magazines, she also placed an order for additional 13 round magazines at the warranty discounted price. When inquiring about the order recently, it was nowhere to be found. Placed a new order with a different representative and after hanging up with her I realized she charged me an extra $8.00 per magazine. Had to call back again and have her cancel them so I can do it the correct way on their website. Overall, my experience with the people at Springfield Armory was terrible and this will probably be my last Springfield Armory purchase. Just a terrible experience just to get what I ordered. read more

I like the m1a alot but pissed off they didn't give me the scope mount and 2 magazine. Put half the money down during the offer but didn't get the gun till June because of the virus. They then said it wasn't during the offer period. Even though I could talk to the gun store people in ny i couldn't pick up my gun. People on the phone at Springfield were argumentative and adamant. read more

I recently purchased a Springfield Armory XDM handgun. One of the reasons why I bought the gun was because Springfield was offering the "Gear Up" promotion through which one can get a holster, mag pouch and 4 mags if he/she registers his gun on their website. I received my holster and mag pouch but not the mags. Upon calling customer service, I was informed that due to my state law restrictions they couldn't ship the mags to my house. They were not even willing to ship them to another address where the state law would be compliant. This was highly frustrating because as a first time buyer, I was not aware of my state's restrictions and Springfield did not make an attempt to inform of such. I did not find out until I called customer service and they were not willing to work with me on the issue. read more

They make a great pistol/rifle but customer service leaves something to be desired for. I picked up a 1911 well over two months ago. I qualified for the extra mags and holster. I talked with Heather S on the 27th of June to check on my order. (It took me 3 emails to get a reply). Was informed by Heather S. that it was on the shipping dock waiting to go out. A month later no package, I thought I should check up on the order. Once again no response. So I emailed Heather S. now I'm being informed that items are on back order and waiting to be filled. Plus was rude in her email. Not sure if there is a intelligence issue at Springfield, hopefully it's just the customer service. It really Sucks because I like the loaded 1911 and was going to buy another but not sure now. Great Guns just crappy customer service. Thanks Heather S it's been unpleasant dealing with you. read more

I just picked up my 6th XD pistol. This was an XD-S mod 2 in .45acp. I am very pleased with all of my XD's. I have never had a malfunction with any of them. I sent in my request for the gear up promotion and had my three mags and range bag in 10 days. Expecting the mags to be 5 rounders I was very surprised to see all 3 of them were 6 round mags with grip extension. For all the Illinois folks who are bashing them for political reasons, move out of your communist state. Come on over to Iowa or better yet, Springfield can move here. Kevin G. A Springfield XDM was the first firearm I purchased, my XDS will be the last Springfield I purchase. Living in Illinois I feel completely betrayed by SA, an organization created, and funded by them removed their opposition to a shitty bill in return for an exemption for SA. Now SA are crying "we didn't know", "it's not our fault". Over the years this organization has also contributed money to some rabidly anti 2A politicians in Illinois, I suppose that was not their fault either. If this bill passes, SA and RRA will together have contributed to the decimation of FFL dealers in Illinois, severely limit my ability to sell guns as a private citizen, and no doubt drive up prices. Hope those 30 pieces of silver were worth it. read more

Bought a brand new 911 380. Every possible mechanical failure possible was present. Nothing worked right. I sent it back with pictures of the razor-sharp metal juts on the slide, and they sent it back with toolmarks, a marred hammer, and a warped shaved-down slide with the same metal shards still present that sliced up my fingers. (Wonderful thing for a nurse btw). How is this not a class action lawsuit? It damn near blew my finger off when the slide locked in battery! read more

This isn't a huge complaint, but after hearing so much about Springfield Armory's commitment to customer satisfaction I expected more. I recently purchased an XDS Mod 2 subcompact 9mm. The pistol arrived within 10 days or so of placing the order. No problem so far. Unpacked it at home and realized the Styrofoam in the hard case to hold the gun, mags, holster, etc. in place was missing. Called SA and was told in order to get the pistol, range bag and other goodies to fit into the hard case, the Styrofoam had to be removed. OK....I can understand that. But I even offered to pay for the Styrofoam and mailing costs to keep the items from shifting if commercially transported in the future. Was told they (Springfield Armory) don't keep a stock of the Styrofoam. Huh?? Sounds like someone just didn't want to be bothered. read more

Purchased an m1A back in March have been waiting for a bonus package of mags. And a scope mount. Five months later , I call customer service error on my receipt according to them. What can I do? I have purchased three rifles from them I will do no more business in the future. read more

I purchased a SOCOM CQB, part of the SOCOM II gen of M-14. Ordered brand new from the factory. This thing is absolutely a peice of garbage. It constantly jams, shoots soo far right I almost have to max my windage just to get the strike point to touch the front sight. The rear sight is a rickety plastic thing that has over 1/8 inch of wiggle & rattle. If it is an M-14 then why is the barrel stamped as .308 and not 7.62 x 51 NATO. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME ROUND!! I have fired about 300 to 400 rds through it and mabe was able to get two 20 rd mags to fire without jamming/misfeeding. I tried to send it to Springfeild Arms with my greivance, they gave me excuses only an inexperienced civilian would buy. I sent it to them and when I got it back NOTHING was fixed. I have taken this POS to all my veteran buddies and gun clubs and have cost Springfield the sale of at least 5 of these things. I will try one more time Mon to see if they are willing to give me more than excuses. With this rifle floating around out here I make sure to show it off to M-14 enthusiasts as it costs Springfield gun sales and will do so until they make it right. I am an expert marksman with the M-14 from the 101 Airborne and used my GI bill for machinist/tool & die degree. I am not one to pass bogus excuses off to. You sold me a shoddy rifle for a little over $2,000, PERIOD! I expected a better standard from Springfield. If Sprinfield Armory would like to contact me at 573-480-2901. I will be contacting the service dept again Mon. I will just keep parading this embarrassing excuse for a rifle around and costing them sales. Should have got an AR-10 from some mid grade manufacturer. would have gotten better results. Sincerely, One truly dissapointed customer and veteran. read more

Springfield Armory is the best brand guns I own. I have never had a problem with their Customer Service or product. I needed Springfield to come through on two occasions, both I blame on the store that I purchased Springfield's items from, NOT from Springfield themselves. Springfield is on my list as being top rated in customer service !. Will buy other Springfield items. read more

Purchased a xde 9mm. It had mag release issues when I got it home. Contacted Springfield to get it fixed. They had me send it in. 2weeks later they sent me tracking info to send it back to me. I had to be home to sign for it. On the day it was to be delivered I look it up was out for delivery at wrong address. I contacted Springfield they had to have it shipped back so they could then ship it to me. I tracked it back to Springfield. It was there for 5 days so I contacted them to see if they sent it out. They had not said they need my address because I moved. I had not moved. So I contacted them and gave them my info for the 5th time. I have yet to receive my gun back. I would not recommended them at this time. It will cost you time and money taking off work for a packed that may or may not show up when they say. read more

I purchased a Springfield armory TRP 1911 as my first gun. I waited months to receive it. The gun wasn't cycling ammo properly so I brought it back to the ffl that sold it to me. They had recommended I purchased different ammo. I then went back to the range to try again. The Problem had not resolved itself, so again I went back to the ffl looking for them to make it right. They said again to try different ammunition. I purchased different ammo again and went back to the range. The gun had the same issue. I went back to the ffl and they sent the gun to Springfield Armor where they had found the safety wasn't functioning properly. They told me 2 week turnaround. I had called customer service over 3 weeks after they had received it asking if they would throw in a shoulder holster for my troubles and frustration. They said they would be reaching out to me regarding this before they sent it back. I never received a call, so I called Springfield asking what the status was. The lady was rude and told me they expedited my order to two weeks. Customer service started they sent the firearm out already, I had asked what about my call?! She said we already sent it out and expedited your order. Long story short I have invested $2000 into this trp pistol, that I have had nothing but issues with. Save tons of money, time and aggravation and go with a different manufacturer. I will never buy Springfield Armory products again!! read more

I set my XD to the Custom Shop to modify the trigger. In accordance with their instructions, I enclosed a magazine with the pistol and added a letter that said I was doing so. Apparently, whoever opened my package discarded the magazine with the packing material. Only after I didn't get the magazine back with the pistol and complained did Springfield tell me that there was no magazine in the package. Of course, that's a lie; whoever opened the package didm;t read my letter and didn't look for the magazine and discarded it, and only later covered up their mistake by claiming there was no magazine in the package in the first place. So the trigger modification was fine, but they're just not trustworthy. Nor do they seem to know anything about customer service, or they wouldn't have left me out in the cold to write this negative review. read more

I love the M1A that I purchased. It is very dependable and very accurate. The M1A is the smoothest rifle I have ever own. The recoil is very light for the kind of weapon it is. My problem is small in light of the wonderful rifles Springfield Amory manufactures. That customer service lady needs to be called on the carpet and sent to a personality therapist. I was talking about the company's products when she hung up on me. The call I made weeks before she was friendly. I don't understand. read more

That approximately five months ago purchased a new Hellcat. That due to the current political environment spare magazines were not available other than purchasing them directly from Springfield. That I contacted Springfield Armory Customer Service and started to explain to the representative that should the Biden regime takeover that gun reform would probably go back to the ten round limit as in the past and wanted to ask the question as to whether or not Springfield was going to come up with some type of adapter for our magazines, otherwise the Hellcat would not be legally useful. That before I could get the total question out I was informed the Springfield does not give out refunds on gun purchases. That I tried to and finally got to pose the question but to no avail and asked to speak to a supervisor which she said she was. That I told her she has to listen to the whole question prior to answering but she definitely did no appear interested. So much for Springfield customer service. That I know there is a ten round adapter kit out there for the thirteen round magazines but no adapter yet for the eleven rounders. read more

I purchased an XD9 in June this year from my local gun store as part of the Gear Up promo. I love the handgun. It's everything the reviews said it would be. It was taking longer than expected to receive my gear up package, so I sent an e-mail to ask about it and got a prompt response saying my mags were on back order. After reading some of the reviews here I got a little worried about getting the merchandise. I decided to be patient rather than to be bothered and my package showed up as promised today. Very happy with Springfield, my XD9 and my gear! read more

I agree with many others here...Springfield Armory's customer service department has forgotten what customer service means. I had a simple problem that should have been easily remedied; but, when I called customer service, the woman I spoke with said that absolutely nothing could be done to help. She even said she checked with her supervisor. I waited a week, called back and got a guy that immediately resolved the problem with no issues at all. Procedures should be consistent across their staff; but, it looks like it is a roll of the dice depending on who you get when you call. If I have this much difficulty with a small problem, it has me wondering what would happen if a larger problem arose! It's a shame, too, because they are such an icon in the industry. read more

Good morning, On Saturday December 8th 2018 I bought a 911 from Sportsman's and was very excited because it was a x-mas gift for my wife. We went to the range on Sunday the 9th and gave her the low down on how to correctly use the weapon safely. We loaded the first magazine and her fist shot was just to the right and low but still within the 9 she was so excited that it shot so well but when she went to pull the trigger nothing happened (jammed). I tried to explain to her that it was new and it might take a few rounds for it to break in. I dropped the magazine and cleared the bullet that was jammed, refilled the magazine with two fresh bullets and it jammed again and again. We packed up the firearm and made the 1 hour trip back to sportsman's to return it and they said we had to send it in for a warranty repair. After another hour in the store and the hour drive home with my wife in full wife mode saying there is no way I will ever trust that POS with my life, and got so pissed that she went out and bought a 9mm Glock G45. Springfield I current own a few of your firearms and up until that day I swore by your product; but now I am at a loss because I bought a gun that my wife now will refuse to carry and I don't have a need for it. I had plans to buy the Saint Edge AR-15 Pistol after the first of the year but I have lost faith in your products and will be putting that purchase on hold for now. I know you will do a great job on the repair and I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas. read more

Oldest Name in Chinese Firearms!! I have 16 Springfield guns and there will not be another until I get a new oprod for this overpriced , MIM chinese part filled POS they call an M1A Squad/Scout. What a pile of crap. Sent it back because oprod binds over the recoil spring. They keep it for a month, replace the bolt stop, which wasn't broke! Then they send it back oprod still binding. "Angie P." just ignores you after you point out the obvious..that 2 "techs" that supposedly looked at it are apparently a pair of blind dumbasses. Ray Charles could see it bind, feel it roll over every coil and hear it dragging over the individual coils...unbelievable...but yeah! Let's replace a bolt stop. Idiots. Takes them a month to NOT fix your gun...then they send it back without so much as an extra mag for your wait. Don't know what happened to S.A...a once great company now WAY overcharging for M1A's full of chinese garbage. They don't give a shit, they got your $$. Well no more. Next time I buy another M1A I'll get a Polytech or Norinco maybe those will have some American made quality parts?? Cant be any worse that's for sure. read more

I guess they should call themselves: 'Sellout Armory', because they just got in bed with the Chicago gun-grabbers, here in Illinois. As an Illinois resident, it's already difficult enough having to follow all the BS regulations, and everyone in Cook County hating guns - it's also appalling to know Springfield Armory has sided with the enemies of freedom here in Illinois. Why have you guys done this? I was considering buying a Mil-Spec 1911, but when someone told me about your support for this BS 'dealer' licensing bill, I was shocked (still am) that you've decided to go down this road. One of the very few things I could be proud of, in this state, up until the past couple days, was knowing EVERY gun maker in the state, had my back, when it came to standing up for my rights - obviously that has changed. Disappointed your company has sold the gun owners of this state out! read more

Super dissatisfied with the customer service and la knot attentiveness to customers. Purchased a 9mm XDS that was to come with an Instant Gear up package. After extensive email with. Angie P who is a customer service agent I continue to be dissatisfied. I've begun to share this dissatisfaction with many I know and will co tongue to do so. Because Cabelas did not have the Instant Gear up equipments had to order from Springfield. I never received a confirmation email and then finally heard from "Angie after emailing the vendor. I was told by Angie I would have to wait 8-12 weeks for a equipment that was marketed and advertised as apart of the purchase. Some Customers were able to acquire the Instant Gear up equipment at time of purchase but apparently whose who did not receive have to wait 8-12 weeks. This is not good customer service and I'm pretty disgusted with Springfield. It will be the last time I purchase a forearm from them ( thanks to Angie). They lack customer service and overall commitment to doing the right thing. I'm doubtful I'll receive the equipment and it feels and sounds like a scam. Watch out for this vendor and chose another who is customer centric. read more

This company lies about their products. I bought a 45 compact it cannot support a laser and I need it for work. I went to a place to put it for sale thru a consignment gun store they would not take it for they said that Springfield are worthless. I took the gun to the LAPD gun buy back program for 100.00. It was worth it for I knew I could not use it as my off duty weapon.
