If the gun itself wasn't just a tac driver I would of gave them 2 stars for customer service. Communication and timely service. I sent my gun in due to a malfunction. Took 2 months for owner to even call me on it!! He was great we talked about what needed done he said great give me 2 weeks. It's been 4 it still needs half the work done and they don't know when they can get to it I'm told. Nice people but do what you say your gonna do great rifles but customer service not a strong point. Apparently, Rock River is no longer selling rifles, for you cannot order one and have it sent to an FFL, nor can you find any FFL that carries certain models. I have tried 6 FFL's/Gun Dealers in my area, and NONE will order it for me or deal with Rock River. They went through a lot of trouble to design and build rifles they have no intention of selling. When you make it impossible to purchase a product, people will only try so hard before they are forced to give up and buy from a reputable company. read more

Ordered an upper last December, 2020. After waiting 3 months I called to ask about the status. Customer service rep had an attitude, and stated it was at least a 6 month wait for upper to be built and shipped. 10 months later, October 2021. Order still shows pending. Still no upper. And no response from emails to Rock River. Lousy customer service. I have two of their .308 AR type rifles. I will never do business with them again. They offer extremely high quality rifles. I absolutely love mine. I'm very comfortable saying that you will love yours. There is a problem I don't understand or particularly care for. The lead time from order to fulfillment is the absolute worst in the business. They were upfront with me when I bought it. Not dishonest. I personally waited a year to get my rifle. No exaggeration. If you don't mind waiting I promise you'll love it but seriously the delay is entirely unreasonable. read more

Bought a lar8 only to find out it uses an almost extinct rifle magazine..and not the standard ar10 mag like most ar10s will recieve like a magpul..called only to be told that all your rifles use there own kind of magazines but that cant be right sense my rockriver ar15 seems to take other ar15 magazines..bought this rifle yestarday trading it in today . use to love this company but they dropped the ball on this one...im guessing you bought these lowers from someone else because i dont think anyone would do that intentionally...very very disappointed .. read more

I purchased a LAR-15 several years ago and have been totally pleased with the craftsmanship of the rifle. The upper and lower are a tight fit, overall finish of this rifle was outstanding. I've since upgraded with MAGPUL furniture and FailZero BCG, glad I found this gem among the other AR manufacturers. I've yet to deal with RRA customer service and production throughput for ordered assemblies so I really can't comment on that. Solid AR and worth looking due to price and quality. read more

I will never purchase another thing from this company. I purchased my rifle in 2005 and only fired about a 1000 rounds through it when the two stage trigger stopped being a two stage trigger. I called and was told by BJ or PJ it was normal wear and tear. REALLY, normal for a trigger to stop working after a 1000 rounds. So I called back and asked for a supervisor and was initially told to ship the trigger kit to them but then after she conferred with BJ that they wanted to check the whole rifle and to ship the entire rifle back at my own cost so they could check for short stroking even though I told them it was specifically the trigger and that the rifle was not short stroking, so they still told me to ship the whole rifle and then they would evaluate it and tell me if its covered under the warranty. And then what pay for it again to ship back if its not covered or to sell me another trigger that wont work! Short stroke this, Ill be ordering a Larue trigger and throwing your crap away. read more

This company has horrible customer service and absolutely does not care about their customers. I ordered a $10 item and went to purchase this item and was not given a shipping quote. I sent an email saying that my concern was shipping and handling quote was not given and i f it was too much I did not want it. My request was ignored and the item shipped. The total bill came to $35. I called and complained that they use unfair shipping practices. Their customer service was so juvenile and disrespectful that I just couldn't believe it. I believe they purposefully do not disclose their shipping because who in their right mind would pay that much in shipping on a cheap order? Get with it Rock River, take care of your customers and do not treat them like garbage. Fix your ordering website and get up to the level of other online ordering sites. The BBB lists a few other people that have similar complaints that also got treated like junk. read more

Their means of letting the owner's of their products know about upgrades or modifications to their weapons systems is horrible (read non-existent). BCG for LAR-8 I owned caused me problems during a Long Range Rifle class causing me to miss many hours of instruction while I rebuilt my BCG only to find out that there were upgraded components to the BCG that weren't listed on the website or anywhere. The company response was never in writing - always verbal over the phone. That in itself tells you about their ethics/morals. Don't buy their guns - go to PWS or any other brand. read more
