Cassie was there for me..... My career was running full steam ahead and everything seemed to be cascading forward. It was an incredible shock to have my body fail at just that moment. I hit the ground so hard I couldn't get back up. I awoke in a hospital room in incredible pain. I was told if I had not made it to surgery I would have died moments later. That's pretty much all I remember the day I woke up after my aneurism. There were many complications and tests. The healing was slow, weeks went into months. I felt safe, secure that I had a great high level job with wonderful health insurance which included special long-term and disability insurance. Then another big shock come when I was diagnosed with a long term illness and that my long-term disability claim was DENIED. How was that possible? After some research, my partner and I found and met with Cassie. Cassie was knowledgable, caring, honest and direct. She gave me all the options, told me what I needed to do, where and when. She walked us through the lengthy ordeal of fighting a denial. She was approachable, pleasant yet direct and to the point. She laid it out in understandable everyday language. I would not recommend this law firm, here is my complaint. I had reached out this office in getting support to appeal a denial claim. I had the official call with them, told of my situation, and they clearly understand and I was excited to get started. Then they requested me to sign a document to get my files from the disability insurance company, which took more than few weeks (Not Good, because it impacts my 180 days to file a appeal). Then after they received my documents from the insurer, I get a email, stating the following "Given the nature of you claim, we do not have space in our calendar for your case" Really, so you wasted few weeks from my appeal timeline, so you can see if it was a low hanging fruit? The whole point people seek an attorney is to get the best representation on a case! Not this firm, they want to cherry pick, then stating " in declining, our firm is not expressing a legal opinion", so I am lost for words, I don't recommend! Their reply tells me their ability to fight for their clients. read more

I currently work for Sysco Food in Bay Area, pretty good, gigantic corporation and good benefits protection, right? Wrong!!! I have been diagnosed with a big tumor close to my lower right spinal cord. As a result, I have been unable to work & have to apply my company LTD benefits. Human Resources gave me a lot of form to fill out & asked me to submit to Aetna insurance company & I did. After about 10 days, Aetna informed me that my application was declined because my OWN company told them I did not have LTD coverage (provided by Sysco free of charge). Needless to say, I reached out to my HR for answer, but they never returned my calls & emails. I asked myself how am I going to support my family & how am I able to fight with this big corporations like Sysco. Fortunately, my payers were heard, I found Cassie on Google. I told her my story & she emailed & sent a letter to my company for answers. Today, Aetna calls me & starts the application going. I know that it will take at least 30 -45 days for them to make the decision, but my whole family has hope that we will have a chance to obtain some financial help to pay for the food & shelter. None of this will never happen if it was not for Cassie. More importantly, Cassie makes me understand that there are so many good hearted people out there who are willing to offer their love & care. I had called various other firms before settling on Springer-Ayeni, and what I found was that all of them wanted me to wait for a denial letter before they would step in. Of course in this way they are able to make more money, however it would have costed me a significant portion of my benefits for several years to come, as well as a lot of added stress--and that was their best case scenario! If my appeal were to be denied, I'd have to endure court litigation. What I appreciated about Springer-Ayeni is that they were willing to do the front-end work to get my case approved right from the get-go.
