They stole my money when I was going to take a trip with my dying wife to Alaska on Carnival Cruise line. Do not trust this business, and never buy the travel insurance from these people. I agree with most of the other reviewers. Marty is my go-to man as well and he is excellent in offering ideas without giving so many options that it is overwhelming. My trips can be a bit on the complex side and involve multiple countries, carriers and agendas. It is nice to have someone to spot-check your decisions. I am also very pleased with the follow-up I receive from Springdale travel. If you are going to the beach for a weekend go ahead and punch a few buttons and do it yourself. If you want to plan an experience use a pro. They have my vote and I highly recommend Springdale Travel. read more

Avoid at all costs. My future mother in law used this travel agency for our recent trip to Europe. We asked them to help book flights and for a hotel for one night in Athens, Greece. We had 5 people going and 3 different flight schedules, so she thought it would be easiest to pay someone else to figure out schedules instead of us trying to do it ourselves. We met with Linda (very nice and energetic) who seemed extremely confident in all of her travel knowledge. She took our information down and gave the flight requests to Monica. Monica apparently handles all the flights. She was extremely unresponsive. She would not answer her phone, but only discussed items over email (which are in plain text and very difficult to read). I had to request in an email to speak with her in person on the phone. The flights she found for all of us were not the most convenient nor did she choose the best seats. I went onto Kayak (which I found the exact flights she was offering), did a little digging and had to tell her which flights we found and asked if we could get on those. I also had to look up seats and request she book those seats for us. I pretty much did all of the work and Monica was a middle man- just plugging the information into the computer. After we started our trip- we found that there were even more direct flights that we could have gotten on- but these were never offered to us at anytime. Linda was the one who suggested the Hotel Solomou in Athens. She raved to my future MIL and said we would not be dissapointed. She was wrong- this "rave" hotel was located on the worst street in Athens (according to multiple cab drivers) and we actually had junkies/crack addicts and prostitutes right outside the entrance. Not cool. The beds were extremely hard, there were zero toiletries in the bathroom and the entire place was very dated. But this is not a review of the crappy hotel. She obviously never did her homework- otherwise she would not have recommended this hotel. Don't let their positive energy fool you, this place is amateur town. read more

Terrible!! Sadly had to give them one star... I wasn't feeling well the day before my flight so I emailed my travel agent, Debra Smith, and told her my situation and asked if I could possibly get any money back. She proceeded to tell me the trip was non refundable, which I already knew but I thought I'd at least see if I could get any money back. The next day comes and I am feeling much better, but I had already missed my flight. So I email Debra and ask her if I can change flights, etc. and I get no response. I call her office and I get no response. I know that they got my messages and emails and deliberately didn't respond to me! I guess after she gets paid she doesn't care about anything else! It is now 3 days later and I have still not heard anything from her. I don't know if all their agents are like this but for sure do not get Debra Smith!! read more

On behalf of Toulminville Class of 1971, I will like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Springdale Travel and Carnival Cruise Line for making our reunion cruise on January 12, 2013 to Cozumel, Mexico a success. Rebecca Lytle is a treasure to this travel agency. She is knowledgeable of handling group travelers and kept open communication with the local and out of town travelers. The suggestion of taking the 5 day cruise was a great suggestion since we had a number of first time cruisers. They can not wait until the next cruise. Cabin assignments were not scattered all over the ship. We were able to locate each other easily. The purks that were given to us was appreciated and a total surprise. The Carnival Elation staff were great in making sure we had an enjoyable time. We are still "shimmering" and stating "marvelous" when asked about the experience. I have done business with Springdale Travel on several occasions and is looking forward of doing business with you again. read more
