The information learned on the tour is very good and educational. The driver/tour guide did a good job. The trolley itself is very loud and the seats are really uncomfortable. Very little cushion on the wood seats and no cushion at all on the seat backs. Lots of interesting information and sites but we would not go on this trolley again. Hopped on one of these today with my girlfriend to show her the sights of the city and what a delight! An absolute hidden gem. The driver was absolutely wonderful - so kind and friendly and there was even a little doggy ambassador on board to greet everyone. Rode with them this weekend and I was not happy. My driver although he was a nice man he was a little too distracted for me. I usually never sit in the front on these trips but this time I felt a pull not get comfortable not sit in the back of the bus and I soon found out why. My driver texts and drive which I know to be a direct violation of D. O. T regulations so on this trip I choose not to fully enjoy myself Incase I needed to make a jump for the emergency exits. We hired a trolley for my daughter's wedding. Since the minimum time you can rent is 4 hours ($795) I was very clear that in addition to transporting wedding party from hotel to church and back to reception, I also wanted the trolley to take out of town guests and family from carnival museum to church and return . The driver took the wedding party to the church and then stayed at the church. By the time someone told me he was still there, the guests had paid for Uber to transport them to church. They were unwilling to work with me about only performing half of the contract and offered me $100 refund . The Uber rides were more than that not to mention upsetting the bride and several elderly family members. Very disappointed. read more

While we were browsing in the visitors center the ladies working recommended we hop on the trolley tour to get a quick history of the city. We had never been to Mobile before so, we decided it would be a good idea. They walked us out to the trolley and we were able to pay by debit card with the driver. We didn't know it but, we were in for a big treat with a well informed and humorous driver. Think flight attendant putting pizzazz on the safety chat at the beginning of a flight. He covered history of architecture, culture, inequality, present and future improvements. He pointed out places of interest, shops to pop into and the city economy and infrastructure. I enjoyed the story about the Moonpie they drop at midnight on New Years Eve! The City is rich in historical significance and it reminded me of New Orleans but, better because the people are much friendlier Southern types and it's a safe city. After the tour the driver sat and chatted with us for a bit and I appreciated that! It was worth every penny and wasn't expensive at all! read more
