Fans at Mobile Regional Airport...

There is no Air.Conditioning in the gate area... according to an employee since last week. Only in Mobile! Fans all over the place!

This is an okay airport, considering it's size. Accessing and exiting it are relatively easy. Nothing too complicated here. After you check in thru TSA security, there are no areas to charge your phone or other electronic devices. Ensure that you have a full charge on your phone before going thru security. There is an area around (in front of) TSA security where you may relax with friends, family or fellow passengers. There is a phone and mobile device charging area to the far left. I charged my phone to about 80 plus percent before going thru security. After going thru security, there is a nice gift shop for grabbing last minute gifts for friends or family. It's a nice sized gift shop with a broad selection of books, magazines, t-shirts, postcards, souvenirs, etc... There is a bar area that serves alcoholic beverages and food. Don't expect much out of this airport in terms of amenities. It's practical and gets you where you need to go. I would fly in and out of here again. Loved how I didn't need to wait in line to get thru security. Hope your stay in Mobile is a pleasant one. I very much enjoyed mine!

A small airport but well maintained. This is really a small I mean SMALL airport! There are only a hand full of fates and really only one place to eat. But they have charging work stations... nice seats, and easy to navigate set up, and again the place was CLEAN! I realize that not all big airports can operate like this but they sure could learn a thing or two.

As a New Orleans local, I tend to fly primarily out of Louis Armstrong International Airport. However, recently I went on a trip with my sister who lives in Mobile. I found the Mobile airport such a refreshing experience from the chaos of other larger airports. It's small, relatively quiet, and the people there were all pleasant (shout out to Michael at Delta for taking care of us at 3am and getting our spirits up!). If you're looking for all the amenities, stores, and restaurants, you won't find it here. But if you're looking for a gentle way to start off your trip - this is it! I'll definitely be flying out of here more often.

Code: MOB Convenient small airport in Mobile AL. We flew in and departed from this little airport. Upon our arrival we proceeded to the baggage carousel area downstairs. While waiting to pick up our luggage, hubby went to the rental car company to check out our reserved car which was just a few yards from the carousel. I like the convenience of the rental companies in the same location. Transaction was seamless, he was back in no time and just in time for the baggage to roll out. Departing from here is also easy. Parked the rental car outside, dropped off keys at the rental counter and just around the elevator got our luggages checked in at the airline ticket counter. Upstairs is the TSA checkpoint which was a little wait since there was only one line. The screeners and agents were nice, though, and kept us moving. Shortly after, we were off to our Gate. MOB has the convenience of a small airport without sacrificing big airport amenities. We grabbed a bite to eat and coffee at a cafe prior to proceeding to our gate. Review #1731

Getting ready to take off

Getting ready to take off.... Not a bad airport. One food option, no covered parking, VERY small parking spaces, and limited airline/flight times.

What a beautiful day it was to be flying wow . Foe some reason I've never flown into MOB but this place is super clean and extremely easy to navigate around. It looked like most of the places to eat are closed ( Covid I'm sure ) but there were little shops that had snacks so I guess that will work fir some. There was ample security around so it felt safe

It's a miniature airport dream! When you flown though the biggest and baddest, you can truly appreciate MOB! There are about 7 gates in total, TSA issues and wait times are minuscule (especially when you've got PreCheck), and the agents are friendly. The airport itself is a bit dated and there are no bells and whistles at this airport, but who needs 'em when the time lapse from car to gate is a mere 10 minutes on average?!-- "Not I," said Juliet! Three cheers for MOB, making flying out of Mobile a friggin' breeze!

An art car in the mobile airport!!

Very small airport with only 7 gates and 2 baggage carousels. There is an 8th gate to the right of security, but its decomissioned. For eats, they are very limited. Only the Quiznos outside of security (2nd level), and Cruise City Bar & Grill (inside security by the gates). Gift shops/news stands close early, like 6pm on a weekday. There are 2 bars also, one outside security and one adjacent to Cruise City. Check out the Cruise City Bar where "Queen Elizabeth" will make you one of her soon to be patented cocktails. On the main concourse, there is a small toddler area to play. Outside security, there is a charging area adjacent to the waiting area. Local artifacts are staged all throughout the airport in clear plexiglass cases.

Arriving flights terminal.

Good little airport. You can get here 45 minutes before your flight and be just fine. Not much in the airport however and not a lot of flights. Parking overnight is cheap and waiting out front to pick up people is easy and no real time limit. Since it's so small luggage usually comes out fast.

This airport stinks. Dirty, few flights, crummy amenities, hard to access. Fly to Gulfport or Pensacola instead.

One of the best airports of it's size. Well managed and reliable. Don't worry about using it for your travels.

TSA is a cinch, there are only a few flights and the schedule is well planned! There's really nothing to complain about here-- no muss, no fuss! I'm a fan! At least your suitcase would end up where you were traveling to and not back home even after filing a claim with all the right information. I left LAX with a connecting through Denver. Every flight was delayed. My suitcase from Denver did not make it to Mobile, AL. I filled out a claim form and gave them my number, email address, and hotel address. I was informed my suitcase would not arrive until Wed because no other flights were coming from Denver again until Wed. I received no call so I called yesterday (tues) and customer service informed me my suitcase was being shipped back to CA because they had no other shopping information. And my flight is to AL, what do you mean you don't have any information? It's on my reservation! What happened to the claim I filled out at the Mobile Downtown airport?! I called Frontier customer service and the agent Jenelyn Paglinawan gave me the FedEx tracking number to change the address. I called FedEx and they said only the shipper can do that. Then Jenelyn said I should call Mobile Downtown front desk. The front desk told me they couldn't do anything because the bag is in Denver and that I should call Denver. I call Denver and no one picks up. I call customer service again and ask to speak to the manager. It's Jenelyn again. Instead of routing me to a manager as requested she tells me the address has been corrected and my bag should arrive in AL at 10:30am today (wed). I get an incident report via email. 190723-001059 So yesterday (tues night) I go on the FedEx website. My bag is STILL going home to CA by 10:30am not AL where I will be until Friday. Well played Jenelyn, well played. Frontier, what are you going to do about your employees in Mobile, AL Denver and Jenelyn the customer service rep? It's 90 degrees here with 80% humidity. It's Wed and I am still in the clothes I arrived in on Monday. If you can't handle your bags you might as well let us carry on without a fee or allow us to carry on period. It's what I always do until I was forced to fly with you to Mobile, AL. Oh it gets better, the ladies at Frontier at this airport tells me I will be reimbursed up to $100 for feminine toiletries. Um, you lost my suitcase WITH MY CLOTHES IN IT. And now it's getting shipped home where I AM NOT. Comedy Central, I hope you are reading this review. Someone should do a skit on this because it is beyond funny at this point.

Praise the Lord, I guess Mobile is at full employment now!…read more Yellow Cab cannot accommodate people who have suitcases or a lightweight wheelchair without an excessive wait time so they can "find" someone who can lift something. Don't all their drivers do this? By "excessive" I mean "as long as three hours." I have waited this long for a wheelchair van to drive me from medical appointments to which I could walk if I weren't a paraplegic. Today I asked for a sedan, since I can get in and out of one. I just can't move my wheelchair into the car. It's lighter than the average traveler's suitcase, but they would not commit to a driver because "they have back problems." I ended up canceling my appointment again because I just will not sit in an office for hours waiting for a taxi to take me 1.5 miles home. I have "back problems." I've had ten operations on my back. Even I could lift my wheelchair and throw it in the trunk of the car IF I could still stand on my legs. I asked what they do when someone goes to the airport with suitcases, and was actually told that customers just load and unload their things themselves. I have lived all over this country and in Europe. I have never heard of a taxi company that does not load and unload suitcases (or manual wheelchairs). This might not be a big deal to you, but to someone like me, it's HUGE. It should be a big deal if you're taking luggage to the airport, too.

When my party arrived at the airport we had to wait for over an hour before a shuttle picked us up to take us to the cruise terminal. Once we were on the shuttle, the driver was horrible. He smelled as if he hadn't showered in a week, and he almost rear ended the car in front of us a few times. On the way back, the ride was much smoother, but they forgot the wheelchair that I rented (due to a broken ankle) for my trip in the middle of the cruise terminal's parking lot. This wasn't discovered until we arrived at the airport. Luckily we had enough time to wait for 45 minutes while someone brought the wheelchair to me (the lady was even pulled over trying to get it to me quickly).

When I was heading to my car after getting our stuff off the beach, Mathew said 'you should get to the reception before us so I will take them on a little longer route to give you time to get ready'. Thank you! We all got there in the right order and they got out of the limo, but the director wasn't ready for everyone to come in yet.
