What a great food store. A ton of fruits and vegetables, meats, fish and dry goods and condiments…read more Definitely a great ethnic food store. Prices are reasonable and I love that you can get a lot of things in bulk. When going for your first time be prepared to spend a while as this place is huge. Also, a little sidenote, it's located in a strip mall which has a lot of traffic. Once you enter into where the sign is, you have to walk to the back of the building and you'll find the store on the left.

This is a supermarket that carries a good variety international grocery products. Great selection…read moreof spices of all sorts, and many ethnic foods and ingredients that you wouldn't be able to find in regular markets. In addition to fresh produce and shelf goods, there are also seafood, meat, and deli departments, as well as baked goods. The Latin American section is the most extensive (catering to the local clientele), followed by Caribbean - I'd come here for specialty items for those cuisines. There is also a small Polish section (but no other Eastern European stuff). Some Indian. However the Asian section is dismally sad, and has only tepid mainstream brands like Roland, Geisha, and Kikkoman (OK Kikkoman soy sauce is the best tho!). Not even good sesame oil or noodles. But for authentic Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or SE Asian products, I would just go to one of several excellent dedicated Asian food markets in NJ. There are also few gourmet/epicurean global culinary products, but then again this isn't that kind of store, and is much more down home. The store feels a bit dingy and the aisles can be cramped, but I do like browsing and coming across interesting or less familiar items I can incorporate into my cooking, try new delicacies, or finding specific ingredients or spices called for in certain dishes I'm making. Prices are reasonable and not subject to the typical "imported/special ethnic foods" upcharge at a Wegmans or whatever for certain products that are very basic and cheap in its country of origin.

I found Haitian mangos. I can never find them anywhere, so I was very, very happy. They were perfectly ripe and absolutely delicious. They've also got some great deals going on pretty often. And if you're hungry while shopping, they have a hot food buffet. I didn't try anything this time or take any pics, but it smelled amazing. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the packaged meat section. I was really hoping to grab some uncooked chicken wing platters, but they didn't have any. I didn't want to go to the butcher and pay per pound, so I'm hoping they add more options soon. Also, shoutout to Michael at the butcher counter. He's always so helpful and kind. Great customer service goes a long way!! My family loves shopping here now. It's become one of our new stops during our grocery shopping day, especially mine knowing that they have my favorite mangos! PS: Yelp says they are open 24/7, I am going to have to double check that and update my review on whether that's true or not. Edit: They are, in fact, open 24/7!

We had breakfast and lunch both from the little home cooked take out. They carry incredible organic baked goods by Betlehem Bakery. We stocked up on a bunch of delicious baked goods including some gluten free. I could have eaten their prepared GF veggie quiche for every meal for the rest of my life. Haha. Organic, local items and produce. Kind owner. When we were there we saw a family come in with their young toddler. He immediately welcomed them and said I saved this for you! And it was a bag of unpackaged potatoes and a little empty basket on their produce shelf for him to go unpack. He was delighted and went over to do his big boy job. So cute! Everyone was very friendly. A true gem!!!!!! We will be back again when we are in the area & I won't be bringing any food with us, knowing this place is here!

They carry dairy products from a farm across the street, local grains, cheeses, and bulk maple syrup from farms upstate. Beautiful bulk and produce sections. Hidden juice/smoothie bar in the back! I have watched this Co-op evolve over many years. They had some growing pains in the past (seems like any of the negative reviews are over 10 years old), but they must have taken feedback seriously, and consistently re-blossomed. They are now, again, my favorite place to find healthy food and a wonderful sense of community. Whole Foods is handy, but not cheap, and cannot compete with the amount of in-season local food available here. I love that we can have this option to support local farms, and keep our money in our regional community.
