The interior is farmer-market style, with mostly veggies for sale and the obligatory gefilte fish I found in the back. It turned out to be very good, actually. Avoid if you are looking for organically grown, fresh veggies or a traditional supermarket. You will love this place if you are a price-sensitive shopper in this diverse, albeit run-down neighborhood. Not a great place on Fridays, as preparation of Shabbat draws crowds.

Favorites: the Chinese produce tent in the back (the salad!!!), Mr. Pickles, the pesto, salsa and empanadas from Pika's, the apple cider from the first produce tent, anything from Meredith's bakery (my dog loves the chicken dog treats which always sell out, my BF loves the quiche and my favorite are the chocolate explosions!! watch them explode on a hot august day!). Also Bread Alone, a winery and cheese tents round it out. Not very big, but always a great place to pick up a few fresh things for the week. Plus, an array of wonderful brunch places to try after a stop at the market. I'll see you there!
