The initial exam was extremely brief, with no clear explanation, no X-rays shown, and no introductions -- we didn't know who was the dentist or assistant. During the deep cleaning, a hygienist/assistant administered anesthesia and did the entire procedure without the dentist present or supervising. The dentist only appeared afterward, did not introduce herself, and gave no post-procedure guidance. I had to ask basic questions about care and eating afterward. Later, we were told additional fillings were required, which were never mentioned during the visit. Billing seemed excessive. When we raised concerns, the dentist adamantly insisted everything was done correctly, dismissed our questions, and offered no apology or acknowledgment. The receptionist was also unprofessional and dismissive when asked about billing. The clinic later refused to continue care rather than address the issues. Overall, this experience demonstrated arrogance, lack of transparency, and disregard for patient communication and rights.

She took her time with me as opposed to other dentists who just pop in for five minutes at the end of your appointment. Her assistant Gabby, was also really friendly and polite and tried to make the x-rays as easy as possible. Lynn at the front desk went out of her way to get me on the schedule and call my insurance to see what would be covered and when since I am on a recently purchased insurance plan. I had a really questionable dentist back in CA and avoided going to the dentist for a while when I moved out here. I guess you can say Dr. Schtakleff has restored my faith in dentistry :P. She didn't pressure me into fancy dental gadgets/procedures but told me affordable ways to manage my teeth and stop any issues before they get worse. She even did my cleaning herself! Another major plus is that the entire practice was crystal clean! Everything from the bathrooms to the sanitized tools, to the fact that both Gabby and Dr. Schtakleff are decked out in surgical scrubs! You had me at "hygiene."

The friendly service was incredible. Everyone here truly loves their job, the dentist was excellent, no pain, no digging for dollars, she was honest about my treatment, assistants were fun and caring, the hygienist was detailed as they come. Can't say enough about the difference at Main Street, already set set appointments for my wife and oldest adult son...they are efficient, quick, barely wait more than a minute after check in. My father could not stop singing their praises. I was proud to be one of their patients as well. There aren't words to describe the horrific way in which my husband was treated at Wells Family…read moreDental.  They told my husband that he was developing a tooth infection so to avoid any issues, my husband scheduled a tooth extraction with Stephanie Chapman.  Not only did she break my husband's tooth, but she left the room after breaking his tooth and sent in her assistant to tell my husband that he needs to go to another dental location - the earliest appointment that they could get my husband in was 4 hours later, 45 min. away.  She never came back in the room and his broken tooth was never properly gauzed or attended to.  She damaged his tooth so badly that the next dentist had to do an invasive procedure (without proper anesthesia) on my husband.  The pain my husband experienced was unbearable.  In fact, it was not healing properly and my husband had to go back for an evaluation.  The owner contacted my husband and referred him to an oral surgeon that he used to work with.  This turned out to be a disaster.  This surgeon would not help my husband.  He said that he had to follow "procedure" and even though weeks went by and my husband pleaded for some kind of help, he insisted that he must follow "procedure" and not do anything for my husband to see if it healed on its own.  He even canceled an appointment within 5 min. of the appointment arrival time - my husband had to drive 2 hours round trip + tolls.  Finally on Friday of last week, this surgeon finally admitted that my husband had a bad infection, but that he was so busy and couldn't help my husband for another 3 weeks.  What???  My husband had endured the intense and horrific pain of a tooth infection for 8 weeks now.  He's missed out on anniversary celebrations, vacations, ect.  The intense pain has caused severe migraines, and my husband has had to rely on pain meds to get him through the day.  He has had insomnia and is never without pain.  I have never experienced malpractice before so this is incredibly shocking to see the severity of pain my husband has been in and the way in which he's been treated.  This practice should be absolutely ashamed. Update: My husband had an xray to see exactly what Well's Dental did to my husband's jaw when they pulled the tooth. And they literally cut a square into my husband's jaw. Who knows the extend of repair he will need to fix his jaw. Every dentist/surgeon/periodontal doctor he sees apologizes on behalf of the dental community for the extensive damage they did to my husband. There aren't words to describe the pain and suffering my husband has endured.

Im still mad that I put up with assistant doing most of the work.. I spent over $10000 at Charles Ashley Mann..... I am considering submitting a complaint to the State Board of Dental Examiners.... I switched toDr Logan Eaker ant Carolinas Dentist.... He did all the work did a great job no assistant was in there doing work I'm kicking myself I did not make a change a lot sooner.
