Never was the suggestion made that as it was only a hen why not put her down, she was treated as though she was an expensive pedigree. There would never be enough stars I could give Swayne & Partners as they are absolutely fantastic…read more They we're kind and caring with all the animals they see, they took my Teddy in on an emergency late one night with a twisted bowel, the vet was waiting in reception as we arrived and took him off to X-ray him while we were booking him in then came out to tell us they had to operate on him straight away they saved his life and we are so grateful to them all from the vet's, nurses and reception staff they are all so kind and caring. We also had to have our nearly 17 year old jack russell "Jake" put to sleep and once again they did it with kindness and dignity. We would recommend them very very highly. I used this surgery all through my childhood/ teenage years and my family still do. They have given my mum huge help through difficult illnesses with her pets. On boxing day before we moved back to the area, our dog ripped her face open in the woods and we used the out of hours emergency service at Swayne and Partners. The vet was absolutely lovely and you wouldn't have known that our dumb mutt had ripped him away from his family! Highly recommended.

On the spur of the moment I called this surgery and they kindly agreed to stay open a few more minutes to allow me to come and check Noddy. Sadly we were right and they kindly allowed him to go the the animal bridge, I am so grateful to them to assist us and to provide the upmost kindness, support and care. Although I have been previously registered with another vet, a friend has recommended the millenium way practice to me, so I thought I would give them a call. The receptionist i spoke too was brilliant. really helpful and friendly, and helped me choose the right care package for my kitten. I ended up paying a one off fee for all his vaccinations, treatments and micro chipping for the first year of his life (costing me a fraction of the individual costs). The care and treatment he has received so far has been brilliant (including treatment for a post vaccination reaction, all part of the package) and I would not dream of going anywhere else now!

I spend summer holidays touring France…read moreand take our large (60 kg) Alsatian dog (German Shepherd) to obtain clearance (PET travel scheme) before bringing him back to the UK. The clearance must be performed by a qualified vet and it is crucial that the protocol for this process is closely followed, otherwise there would be problems at the border control, and this is the last thing you really want!! Dr Nowosad consistently provides excellent service. He is always very professional, friendly, pedantic with the paperwork and helpful. Baron (our dog) remebers the place very well and always pulls strongly right to the very door of the surgery (!). Dr Nowosad's Clinique is easily accessible from the Calais Boulogne-sur-Mer motorway (Autoroute des Estuaires), and there is a MATCH supermarket just opposite his surgery with ample free parking space (important if you drive a large vehicle). To conclude I would strongly recommed making use of Dr Nowosad's services to anybody who needs to follow the PET-scheme before returning to the UK.

Distasteful, despicable and unsympathetic, all they care about is money…read more Today we had to have our pet put to sleep, we had already paid in excess of £200 for vet bills over the last week, so they were well aware making payments was not an issue. After watching our pet taken away for euthanasia , we were about to leave the surgery very upset. The unsympathetic young lady at the desk only seemed to care about getting payment for the euthanasia, I said please send the bill. There is a pointless candle on the counter saying when this is alight it means someone has lost a pet, this wasnt even used, the staff were more focused on the money side of things. 3 hours later I then receive a phone call asking for payment. I have never experienced such a disgraceful way of handling the death of an animal. Vets are supposed to care? Not at London Road Surgery.. AVOID like the plague!!!
