I loved how many varieties of heirloom tomatoes they had. It was honestly so hard to chose, there were so many awesome options. I loved their little blurb about what each tomato was like. They had a large variety of annuals and perennials as well, the pricing is pretty comparable to other nurseries, probably a touch higher. The employees are friendly and there is usually always someone around to help!

It made for the perfect relaxing night. There was something for everyone, with plenty of activities for both kids and adults, plus a variety of local food and drink vendors. My favorite part was exploring the greenhouse filled with gorgeous flowers, plants and vegetables. I could have spent hours browsing! I'm already looking forward to coming back again later this season and can't wait to see everything they have planned for the fall.

Salisbury Farm was the great place for pick your own strawberries. The patch (is that what you call…read moreit?) was the perfect size, not too big but not small. The cost of this giant bucket, I seriously have so many strawberries, was a great value. I do wish maybe they had a couple of sizes to choose from but I'm finding new recipes to use these guys. We set out to pick fresh floral stems and pumpkins. We were greeted with so much more....The sweet playful house pup who immediately brought us an apple for a game (or 25) of catch. He made this whole experience so much sweeter for my girls! We had a blast chasing him around the gorgeous rows of vibrant flowers and filled apple trees. We could've stayed for hours playing with him alone!! We purchased mini apple cider donuts the girls gobbled down in two seconds flat. They LOVED these! $4 for a bag of a dozen, fresh and hot off the press sugary, perfectly snack sized donuts. They also offer grass fed beef, pork and chicken. We met the owner who kindly poured us samples of their delicious fresh, raw cider and showed us the original mill which is housed in their awesome, simplistic barn. (If you're traveling, remember to bring a cooler with ice as the cider is unpasteurized.) She also suggested I purchase a "Long Island Cheese pumpkin" which I had never heard of before! Have you?! She gave me instructions on how to bake it and make what she said will be the best pumpkin pie ever! (I'll keep you posted). She also gave me some local suggestions on things to do (Old Sturbridge Village, Mass) which we did and had a fantastic time! Thank you!! Prices we thought were very fair and it feels so good supporting small, hardworking business owners. This farm is on the smaller size, but it's absolutely full of that unmistakable pure New England charm and quality goods! We would come back here in a heartbeat and had a VERY memorable, awesome first trip! If you're in the area or maybe looking for a weekend escape, this fabulous farm is located in a quaint town that offers so much, yet is so far away from it all. You won't be disappointed making an entire trip out of heading this way.

Service is good, helpful. Ambiance is very much a beach vibe. My issue are the prices. They are NYC prices for everything. Now the line is out of the door most of the times but be forewarned your wallet will be lighter. If you need farm vegetables then go to Manfredi Farms and save money. Or Daves for coffee and save money. Having written that, the product and service are good. The prices not so much.

We opted for the smaller 1-peck bag for $25-28 (I forget). Isn't 1-peck supposed to be ~10 lbs or does it go by the # of apples? There's a map posted by apple type, and the aisles have signs at the end that say which apple type they are. We went on the 1-mile long trail that takes you around the orchard and back to the driveway-road you drove on to get to the parking lot. Don't venture off of the trail as parts are on private property, so don't be loud and obnoxious. I don't know where the cost-savings are as the apples for sale in stores cost less per pound. There were a few picnic tables there to sit at, but it seems the price is more so for the experience with the other half, kids, etc.

I have now been on two goat walks here, and I would say it it is probably different every time.
