At night, there's no venue I'd rather choose for a concert! There's practically no bad seat in the house; unfortunately, there are a few seats directly behind pillars that do get sold as viable seats. Other than that, any seat in this rather intimate venue is worthwhile. I've had the privilege of seeing numerous shows here (Opry tapings, Carly Pearce, Brandon Lake, Vance Joy, etc.) and would recommend both ground and balcony level seating! Tonight, I saw the fifth annual Breland & Friends concert benefitting Oasis from balcony section 13, row A, seats 1-2 - and dare I say that's the best view I've had yet. Front row of the balcony seating, center stage, room to stretch legs - unbeatable! Service is solid at the Ryman - from ushers to guide you to your seats to bartenders serving food and drinks. Security tonight seemed patient and friendly, too, setting the stage for a great night ahead!

Hot take....but it's rarely a great place to see a show. This space has a character of its own and…read moreif the show you're seeing doesn't fit it, then the show suffers. The acoustics are very lively which means if you're seeing anything other than an acoustic act, lyrics will probably be unintelligible. The center floor seats especially suffer from this when the crowd is standing due to the lack of PA coverage past the front fills that cover the first few rows. The pews are tight...and restrict a crowd from dancing. And if you dare to have an end seat and take one dance step out into an aisle, an usher on a power trip will be on you in milliseconds. The security and ushers roaming the crowd during the shows always lead to an unsettling feeling of supervision in a space where people come to let loose and express themselves. From a visual perspective it's also just odd. Half of the floor seats are covered by the mezzanine with an extremely obstructive view of anything happening above the performers. Then, if you do have a full stage view, the house is painted such a bright color that leaves you feeling like you're in a living room rather than at a concert. Which can absolutely be the vibe for the right act. I understand and respect the history of the Ryman, but just wish bands/promoters would choose more suitable venues rather than booking this room for its reputation. The Ryman is more of a PAC at its core. Great for acoustic/folk/quiet acts.

We followed up the tour with tickets to the show. We sat in row G which were really good seats. The place was not as full as I was expecting so it allowed us to have a bit more room as the seating is bench style. We loved the performances. As they are a radio show, they have a strict schedule which was great. They mix up old and new and we got to see a songwriter perform a few songs he wrote. When we bought the tickets we did not know who would be playing and even though the performers were not familiar to us, we loved the sets. Such a great mix of music and styles. Outstanding experience.

The museum provides a great view of history from country music's early beginnings, their influencers, and up to the latest stars. I really enjoyed looking at all the stage dress on display. Located in downtown nashville outside of the grand ole opry this piece borrows inspiration from nashville games music row and the sets of guitars enemy have on display in that part of town.
