We took our sick senior dog to university to get an opinion about where she could be saved after she stopped eating. The vet was optimistic and willing to do a dental the same day as her teeth were awful, but they ran labs and she was just too sick and now looking at kidney failure. He said we could take her to a major hospital and maybe she could pull through and live a little longer, but we've been through a lot over the past year with her being in heart failure and we know she stayed with us longer than most dogs do who suffer heart failure. The vet was super solemn in giving my husband the bad news and he had a really positive experience despite the bad news that we had come to the end of the road with our most beloved dachshund. We will be taking our growing puppy here in the future like when she needs a spay. Please keep your dogs on heart worm medication. Our dachshund went to a rescue with heart worms and we fostered her through the treatment and then foster failed. She was the most amazing dog. Rescues pets are amazing animals.

My bill was $204. Once I get there, I am told she has yeast in her ears and to give her children's claritin for breathing due to trachea. Last night, Boots was breathing was labored, she whined all night and did not want to sleep. I contacted ER med vet and was advised to give her claritin and follow up with my Vet. Today, I call at 11a and stated the obvious. Do you want to bring her back for an exam (additional charge). No, i am calling for further recommendation as i was there Friday and the claritin is not working. I am told I would receive a call back. Around 345p, I receive no call and contact them again. First, Noone remembered me calling, hence I was told about the call back without alerting anyone. After calling for the second time, holding for 15 minutes, I am told that there is no record from the visit on Friday and I would need to come in and recharge for another exam.... Needless to say, its a hard NO! I don't not recommend due to no records, additional charges, lack of care and customer service.

His body covered with cuts and abrasions and suffering from a broken hip. After weeks of working with an out of state rescue group and animal hospital he developed necrosis in the area of the stitches from being neutered. We were preparing a late dinner when the bleeding started at 11 PM. We're talking cups of blood coming out. There would be no time to make the 1.5+ hour transit to the out of state hospital. He would have bled out. We had never used Rehm but they were close by, had a doctor in the office and I honestly doubt we could have ended up in better hands. Dr Shine and his trusty assistant Andrea met us at the door. While she worked with my wife to get the info Dr. Shine started working his magic. After saving the dog's life they worked with us on a treatment plan that we could afford. We were impressed by their professionalism, bedside manners and willingness to work with us on alternative pricing/care options. Prices: In this instance I really can't talk to price, it was late and they were the first ones we got hold of. We have not used other hospitals in the area for emergency services. It certainly did not seem out of line for the work performed considering the quality. And then....about 6 weeks ago our small dog started having seizures, coughing and all around craziness. Once again it was later in the evening. After a quick call to confirm the dream team was available we rushed Baby Girl to the Hillcrest Rehm facility. And once again Andrea and staff displayed genuine concern for our baby and Dr Shine possessed the mad skills to remedy her ailments. We moved here about a year ago and up till now have been using different vets for regular checkups, shots, etc. Due to Dr Shine and Andrea we will now use Rehm for all our vets need. I will say they are a bit more for the yearly checkup and shots than some others but I love that warm and fuzzy feeling.

They were ready for us when we arrived an hour later (drive took 1hr) and put us straight into an exam room. The vet tech's were incredible, as was the front staff and Dr. Gregory (?). They did an initial assessment, asked questions and gave us a best/worst case scenarios. They took Gus back twice - once for vitals and a second time for bloodwork. Luckily our dog is pretty agile so he came away with scrapes and bruises but it could have been much worse. You could tell they were exhausted as they had 2 very urgent cases, yet still cycled us into the rounds. I would recommend this facility and the staff. Yes, we waited. Our "emergency" was not the highest priority and we understood that from the onset. They did the best they could considering the resources and more urgent matters they had. We would return and we would recommend.

We brought our little girl in and the staff was so incredibly helpful and nice. We ended up having to send our girl over the rainbow bridge and the staff was so nice and compassionate during one of the worst days of my life. They handled the situation so gracefully. Fast forward to this week, we received Chloe's remains and we even got a card from this location that was signed by the staff and had a paw print on a card from our Chloe. For someone that had never visited this location, they treated us like family and for that, I will be forever grateful

I only recently learned of " Yelp".. I do agree with what he said, I believe I get the best care for my animals and Dr. Leslie is just super awesome !! My sister and dad raved about him so when I was looking to change my vet , naturally , I switched to him and it was the best decision I ever made . Not only is he a great Veterinarian, he's also just a super nice funny , great guy who loves the same pretzels I do !! Lol seriously, it's nice going to a place where everyone knows you and they know your pets, so not only do you get quality care , you get personal care as well ... Dr. Leslie has done surgery twice now on my male German shepherd and both times , my dog-Harley , has done very well afterward . I have never been spoken too by a vet office the way Kelly spoke to me. We kindly requested a refund due to the fact that we were misinformed by her staff. It worries me that a person like this works in a space that cares for animals. In an animal hospital, many people need a warm, kind spirit to guide them through potentially difficult times. Kelly is very far from that. This was our first time coming and we certainly won't be back. I would fear leaving my animals here alone.

My Banfield hospital, located at 3890 Airport Blvd., Mobile, AL., was working on getting to the root of my cat's skin problems. Skin irritations in pets can take time to fix, and we found ourselves worried and frustrated for our kitty's situation. I emailed the Banfield Corporate Office and expressed these concerns. Within 24 hours I was met with an outpouring of renewed concern and feedback, not from just one person assigned to contact me from the corporate office. Everyone from corporate down to every last staff member at my local Banfield Hospital went out of their way to inquire after my pet's wellness. They encouraged us to come back with our cat in an effort to be certain everything possible could be done to help him. When this happened I became aware of how very much the folks at Banfield value our pets...that they love the task of providing health and wellness for other people pets. Two days ago, she was in the yard which she fell, yelping in pain. Yesterday, she was lethargic which - if you have an Aussie - you know is wildly atypical. I thought the paralysis had taken its toll and we would have to put her down. Kathy made our appointment. She was empathetic and very helpful over the phone. When we arrived, the receptionist and the vet tech were each super nice and very professional. Dr. Gilson examined Tinkerbelle thoroughly. He explained the utility of each diagnostic and treatment option he recommended, and he quoted us the price. He found that she had fairly extensive osteoarthritis and recommended treatment. Our story had a happy ending because we arrived fearing it was time to euthanize and discovered our dog's problem was treatable. It's also a happy ending because, had it turned out it was time to let our dog go, I feel confident they would have handled that outcome with skill and compassion. Every interaction was excellent. We've had dogs for over 30 years, and we've had a range of experiences with veterinarians over the years. Retired, we now split time between Colorado and Alabama. When we are in Alabama, Dr. Gilson is our new vet and Theodore Veterinary Hospital is our new clinic.
