Poor customer service, no follow up and not able to talk to an owner/corporate to resolve issues. Disappointing to say the least.

Absolutely horrible company to deal with. After the second application to my lawn, they killed off half my garden. So I canceled the rest of my service and they would only refund me that one application. My neighbors had a third application and upon that application to kill the rest of my garden and this business block my phone number, so I can't contact them. Not a reputable business in my opinion stay away pictures of what they did to my garden if they let me post. read more

I hired Spring Green for Turf services for weed control, and 2 applications have been applied. After the 2nd application the burn spots became more visible. Not just spots, but streaks all along my property which is about a half-acre or so. That didn't happen after the first or last year after I had turf treatments! I voiced my concerns and they seem to only want to communicate via text message which was the first red flag. I will say that those correspondences were polite but filled a bunch of scripted rebuttals. I was asked to send pictures which I did. I was given analogies about lawns getting sick like us getting colds. When I said that my lawn has never been diseased before, I was then told, "well, just because you never had bronchitis, doesn't mean you won't get it"? It's very hard to capture an entire property in grainy photos. NO ONE ever mentioned my lawn being diseased after the first OR second application but could tell by dull photos? I requested someone to come out and see if in fact my grass is "diseased" as the rep said. Nope, just text messaging with answers to a few pictures that didn't show all of the issues. I have had 2 separate Turf companies come out to look at my property. Without name dropping, I was told by one of them that my property looks to have application error and/or chemical burn. The other company suggested a completely different treatment without herbicides as there was too much going on with the lawn at this point. My professional landscaper also said that this isn't "disease" as much as it is chemically burnt. After gathering info, trying to have an open mind, I sent a final text to Spring Green requesting a call to schedule a visit to my home within 24 hours because that is what good Customer Service is and the right thing to do. I really wanted to hear what they thought, in person. They did do that. Well, what happened next was FAR more abhorrent than the lawn at this point. Even IF the burn spots were not because of their chemicals or applications, the GM, Tristan was ABSOLUTELY the rudest, most condescending individual I have ever come in across in my life. Within the first 5 seconds, I knew how this conversation was going to go. He was defensive right off the bat and said "Ok, what I am looking at?" Not in the inquisitive way, in a gaslighting tone. Everything was about me being wrong, the other companies being wrong, him accusing the other professionals of being "uneducated" within their field answering my questions with questions. I tried to explain to him that one of the turf guys has been in business for a very long time and started to accuse me of ageism against him. He sounded like he wanted to argue. Totally f****** BIZARRE. I don't how you show up to someone's home with such a shit attitude. The utter cockiness he displayed was revolting and mind blowing to the point of me asking him to leave. He did not at the first request and kept talking. Honestly, by that time I yelled "Get the F*** off of my property". I said it again, then he started walking to his vehicle and merely said, "I'm out, I'm out". All of this is SO unnecessary. I am sure they do a nice job ordinarily and they do also have nice reviews but now, this isn't about the actual lawn, me writing this review is because of him and his absolutely unacceptable attitude. He seriously could have had an altogether different approach, but I see in other reviews that this is just how this company rolls with concerned customers at times? Just wondering how he treats Male homeowners? If you don't mind being talked down to like you are an idiot, then use this company. If you do not want to be treated like complete shit, stay away. Be very careful with this company. I renewed my service from the previous year, which I was happy with and then they charged me for grub control this year. When I asked them about it, they said it auto renews but this year it was $99 when it was free the previous year. I tried to dispute this with them and they did not want to talk about it so I canceled the service but they still want me to pay for the grub control. I actually paid for close to half of the application. read more

I have been a customer of Spring Green Columbia City, IN for the past 5 years--until today--I will not recommend them to any of my neighbors. Their manager, Tristan, called me led to question me why I provided a low score on their internal review of recent pest control & yard treatments. When I explained my reasoning and told him I had security camera documentation, he became agitated and was quite rude. Poor management. Hello all, I am customer of spring-green for the past 5 years in Carmel, IN and on 8/25/2025 I received an invoice for $96.20 applied a 20-0-5 granular fertilizer at 2 pounds per 1000 sq feet and three-way broadleaf herbicide was sprayed for broadleaf weeds. Problem is that Justin Lorenzen only stuck a flag in my lawn and left with out doing lawn service. Upon with many calls I was able to talk to Katie on this matter and she was un-professional talking to me and informed me if I don't pay the invoice she is going to send to collections. read more

To comment on the reply to my review about me not choosing to use the chemicals suggested? Is FALSE! I was flat out told that Spring Green could NOT get rid of the weeds in my yard! There was NOT any offer to use a different chemical by Spring Green! Spring Green expected ME to purchase round up to remove the weeds because the chemicals they used would not remove the weeds??? This was AFTER I had 3 treatments and complained about it. Not Once did the person who was treating my lawn suggest anything. We have been a spring green customer for many years and have never been disappointed in the health and appearance of our lawn. I did try one year to do it myself and the weeds just overtook me so fast. Tom our spring Green technician did a great job this year of 2023 and would like to recommend him to anyone looking to keep their lawn looking really great. read more

I needed someone to come out and do pest control as we had a bad pill bug infestation and figured since they were already doing our law service, I might as well give them a try. Submitted for service and reached out via email about the situation ...... no one came out. A week later...... still nothing and another email sent. Responded with "we will be out tomorrow" .. tomorrow comes and goes...... no one shows up. Cancelled service. They knew well and good we were in dire need of their service and if they can't meet their word, they should of told us so we didn't waste more than a week waiting for them to not show up and make the situation worse. read more

Very happy with Spring Green, they have done a nice job with my lawn and their customer service is great. If you have any issues with their service, call and they'll make it right. I spoke with Tristan and he was very helpful. The only thing I wish they did was a bit more customization for the applications they put down. I feel like they tend to just do "standard" treatments when my lawn might benefit from some more customized care. My lawn has some unique issues. Now, shame on me for not calling and asking about this... I'm sure if I did they'd be happy to help! With that said, maybe I'll go make a call... read more
