On several occasions we've had our gates serviced by Spring Gates. Once was a huge emergency (cause by the previous installer cutting corners). These guys show up fast, understand how gates work, don't over sell you, the workers are nice, the quality of the work is good....i can't say enough nice things. Highly recommend. I'm glad I found them. read more

The men who run this company have a very bad temper. They don't have good customer service and they yelled at us when our garage door kept breaking. Super rude and disgusting language. Take your business elsewhere. read more

These people have no empathy towards customers and do not take care of their customers correctly. It's one thing to be unable to fix a garage and another to disrespect a customer by blaming us that we are breaking our own garage. This business made my roommate cry from the disrespect and yelling behavior they inhibited towards her. Do not support this business if you care about professionalism and reliability. read more

Len has helped me with two repairs to my garage door. I could not recommend him more highly. He arrives promptly and doesn't leave until he's sure everything is functioning well. The first time he came, I thought the entire garage door needed replacement, but instead of upselling me he repaired the door, saving me a lot of money. Len knows what he's doing and takes pride in his work. read more

I needed my old metal garage door adjusted so it would close and open smoothly. I checked on nextdoor.com to see who my neighbors recommended. Three recommended Len, and one even confirmed his recommendation by my followup email. Okay, I agree I am obsessive. I called in the morning. Len came out the same afternoon, oiled the springs, took apart one of the joints, adjusted the door and now it works fine. I watched it all happen. The service call was fairly priced. I would recommend Len and Spring Garage Doors and Gates. Absolutely. read more

Len with Spring Garage Doors and Gates is great! He's punctual, professional, knowledgeable, reliable and most of all, honest. I only call him for my business and home gate issues. Please don't waste your time calling other gate and garage companies. Again, Len is honest and that's important when you're working with someone. Thank you, Len! read more

Len and Spring Garage Doors and Gates are the best. We have dealt with a number of Garage door/gate companies over the years. We were lucky enough to find them 5 years ago, and will only use them from now on. Their work is first rate, timely, and fair. There is no one better in the Los Angeles area. I cannot recommend them enough. read more

Len and his crew are the most honest , experienced and helpful repair and installers in the 20 years I have had a driveway gate. I had a cheap difficult driveway gate model installed by a previous owner for 16 years and as a single woman, I have had a host of people rip me off going in outrageous ways trying to keep that gate going. Then Len came along and told it straight and explained all the ways to watch being fleeced and the first time charged me $65 for a fix when the last guys quote was to say I needed a $600 board.!! Now Len is my go to guy. They work 7 days a week but he is popular so sometimes you just have to be patient and have an alternative to a stuck gate or door til he can get there. It's a gate people not a true emergency. Get an Uber til it works . I see how stressful Len gets while on the phone fielding imperious , screaming selfish Los Angelenos demanding instant relief from a little gate problem. Get an Uber of you are stuck, or better company yet a Lyft, and he will be there or his crew as soon as he can. You keep stressing him, then I stand to lose the health and services of one of the most trustworthy vendors on my short list to keep my 3 unit property going. He is an invaluable asset to this single woman landlord who has been hustled by many a repairmen. But never Len. They installed a new motor and board in 2015 from liftmaster and it is a dream and very quiet . I know because my living room windows are right next to it and for years I had to hear this old creaking gate . And his rate was very reasonable given they had to install a new one in a very different way. read more

Pleasant gentleman named Len helped replace our faulty garage door. The motor was not working and we literally found him driving his pick up. I cross referenced him here and gave him a go. That same day, he came to the home and replaced our motor, rail, the whole assembly. Yes, the same day. He had everything we needed on his truck and ready to go. Top quality stuff too. He was super quick and didn't waste a minute. You can tell he's done this thousands of times. His prices are very reasonable and well worth every penny. Saved me a lot of time and headache. Really appreciate his work. read more

Len did a HUGE job by converting carports into garages in one of my rental buildings. Three other garage businesses told me that it could not be done--but Len made it happen. His prices were reasonable and he has been back a couple of times to service the units since the install--honoring his warranty with no questions asked. Excellent service and workmanship. I would definitely recommend his company for any small or large job--quality work at reasonable prices. read more

Spring Gates and Garage Doors - Before (carports) After (garages) converted by Len & his team - Garage Door Services Near Me

We had a break in due to our old and worn out wooden garage door. I called Spring Garage Doors and within a few hours they were at my residence to advise and quote a new door. Not only did they show up quickly but they had rates way under the other companies that I had come by. Len answered all my questions and was extremely knowledgable, helping us pick the perfect door for our needs and within our budget. They were ready to install it within just a few days. The install team had our old door out and new door in within two hours. They showed me how to work all the new mechanics and left their work area clean of any debris. Their service was excellent and workmanship great. read more

Found Len on yelp and his reviews are true. We needed new garage doors for a spec house. Len showed us samples, we choose the metal door's with a wood look. He did a great job installing the new doors. You won't be disappointed with his products or services. read more

100% happy!! In fact, we were so happy with Spring Garage Doors and Gates we had them do a second gate for us. We first contacted Len to construct and install a brand new electric gate for our rental property. He was prompt, always available by phone and gave us the best price for a good-quality, metal driveway gate. He helped us with good design that stayed within our budget. So good was our experience with him and his workers that we hired him to build a custom wood gate for our home! It's a beautiful and solid driveway gate. He matched our design exactly and his craftsmanship is top-notch. I see there is one review here saying they do not have good employees. I honestly think that person is confused with a different company. Len and his workers could not be more professional and nice. We've called them after the install to make a few minor adjustments and they have come out the next day to fix! This company does great work and stands behind their product. read more

Len was very helpful and very knowledgeable. Came immediately, started right away, finished very quicky. He was fair and reasonable. Highly recommend! read more

I called and talked to Len on a Saturday during Labor Day weekend. I was surprised that he answered but even more surprised that he was able to give me a quote over the phone and come out on the same day to fix my garage door, while the competition was taking the day off. The final price was the same as his original quote, no extra fees or parts, etc. he said he would be here in 40 minutes, and he was. He was true to his word and did a great job replacing my garage door opener. He worked efficiently and made it a point to clean up any mess that was made. He even got rid of my old opener at no extra charge. On top of all that, he was a pleasant person to talk to. All in all I am very satisfied with the work and would not hesitate recommending Len to any of my friends. Thank you Len!! read more

Spring Gates and Garage Doors - Even garage door openers are getting tech these days - Garage Door Services Near Me

Garage door broke at one of the properties that I manage at 5pm on a Friday -- we needed it fixed ASAP because of security purposes. Len came right away, worked even when it got dark (there was no light inside the garage, mind you), and did not give me any fuss (most places I called got grumpy when I asked if there was any way we could get it serviced immediately). On top of all of that, garage door works like a charm. Super professional and super trustworthy! 100% will call him again if I need any more garage door repair / services. THANK YOU! read more

Fast, reliable, high-quality work! Our HOA has hired them multiple times, and has always been happy with their excellent work.

Let me tell you about TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE. My garage door opener crapped out on me last night and motor would not work. Len installed the beautiful unit and door 2 years ago. I called him this morning as I was trying to figure out why it had stopped working. He first tried to troubleshoot over the phone and spent 15-20 min with me and then said the issue may need an on-site inspection since the basic over the phone remedies were not solving the problem. He asked for my address and ON THE SPOT, drove out from the west side to where I live, 25 min of LA traffic. Pulled up to my house and looked at the unit himself and deduced it needed a new logic board that had failed. Then he helped me navigate customer service and waited around until we got done with manufacturer and secured the new board under warranty. He even said once board arrives at my house he would be happy to send one of his technicians to install it for me at no charge! Business owners TAKE NOTE all you wannabe amateurs, THIS is how you take care of your customers! Thank you Len! You deserve 10 stars!!! EPIC customer service! read more

I had gotten the runaround from another garage door repair company and was really frustrated. My wife sent their guy home when he whined about not being able to handle the repair with just one man. We were lucky to find Len and Spring Garage Doors. Len was on-site in two hours. Beat the other company's estimate and scheduled the job for 2 days later. He said Enrique would be at my home at 10:30am and would need 3 hours to complete the job. Enrique arrived early at 10:00am, and completed the job perfectly in just 2 hours. No whining about needing another man. He was a true professional, and the work he did was flawless. I've had miserable experiences with 2 other garage door companies, but wholeheartedly endorse Spring Garage Doors. read more

I have used this company 3 times and every time he was by far the cheapest in price using top quality equipment. He will not rip you off as he is really the best in the business... Also his timing on coming to see you and finishing your work is fabulous. I highly recommend him.... and thank you read more

Len was terrific. He showed up when he said he would be there. He has some difficulty getting the new part to work, but did not overcharge me for his time. He had a very good attitude and worked around my schedule. read more

My garage door was binding at the bottom making it stick whenever I opened it. It is an overhead door. My painter, who was painting the doors, suggested I call the best Garage Door Company in LA to adjust them. Len of Spring Garage Doors came over right away, diagnosed old weakened springs, replaced them and now the door runs perfectly. But if that was not enough, one of the opening switches was malfunctioning and Len made a special trip back, at no charge, and taped an errant wire and now the whole system runs like a swiss watch. Thanks Len! read more

I found Len on Yelp and immediately received caring service from him. He made some suggestions over the phone which helped and then came out when I was ready for him to. A friend of ours had backed into our garage door, leaving a dent that made the door inoperable. Len came out on a Sunday afternoon, gave me a very reasonable estimate for a new door and installation and replaced it in a little over an hour the following Wednesday. Perfect - thank you, Len! read more

Needed a new garage door and motor for my renovation. Decided to get three quotes. The first made an appointment for three days later. The second offered an appointment in a week. I waited for the first one to come. I knew what I wanted, flush panel, three windows and a side jack shaft motor. The guys who came over were incompetent and obviously used to conning customers who aren't technically minded. Len from Spring Doors came over the same day I called. He gave me a price in 1/2 an hour and I accepted it because it was a good price and he was obviously technically proficient. He turned up to do the install on time and was very quick. When he and his crew were faced with a little extra work because of some conditions I'd exposed during the renovation they didn't grumble and just took it in their stride. The work was done well and I'm very happy. read more

We used this company for garage door service after using our existing company for many years and we called Len after looking on Yelp we called Spring Garage Doors And Gates and he came over late after hours as our door came crashing down he was very professional and the price was right we will only be using this company in the future thank you Len read more

Had problems with garage door not opening; called Len, who was recommended by a friend on Next Door. Out he came; he changed the sensor and gave me new remotes...and when I couldn't operate it the next day, he came out again -- for FREE -- and programmed the cars while he was here. Yes, I recommend him, his company and his services. If and when I need a new opener, he will be my go-to-person! read more

OMG I am completely baffled at the positive reviews this company has. It really makes me not trust yelp reviews at all anymore. Len and his crew are terrible. To make a long story short, I ordered 7 garage doors for an apartment building I own. Rather than measuring for each door, Len just measured one door and made all of them the same size. Problem is, one of the garage openings was a slightly different size. So the door arrives and they have to cut it to make it fit. This door has never worked properly. It opens 2/3 of the way and then stops. Then when you press the remote again, it slams down, comes back up and then won't close. My tenants were frustrated and moved out. I had to meet Len or his installer several times at the property (which I do not live at) and they could not fix the problem. They would show up not at the time we were supposed to meet and expect me to rush down there. This happened several times. We went through this for a few months and I begged Len to call a consultant because he does not know anything about garage doors. He would just stand there and look at it. Only his installer knows a little bit. He refused to get help and will not return my calls, so now I am left with a garage door that doesn't work. I am in the process of getting help from Liftmaster and another garage company and I don't know how much $ this is going to cost me to fix this problem. This is a perfect example of someone who opens up a company, bids for jobs and makes money off the top, but who does not know what he is doing. read more

Short Version: Len is a great guy who did a quality install of a quality garage door opener for a great price in little time. I HIGHLY recommend him for any garage door operation. Long Version: It's SUPERBOWL SUNDAY and I discover this morning that my garage door opener won't open the garage door. I call "Business #1" I find on Yelp and was quoted $$$$$ because Sunday's invoked an "emergency charge". I was going to settle for the $$$$$ quote but figured I'd call one more place just to get a comparison. I find Sprint Garage Doors and Gates on Yelp and give them a call. Len picks up, and after a small exchange of information (including what he charged upfront for a service call, which was 50% less than the $$$$$ quote) , he's at my door in 30 minutes. Len inspects my garage door opener and in less than 60 seconds sympathetically deduces that I'm going to need a new motor. He lets me know he has all the equipment on with him for a full replacement (garage door opener, sensors, rails etc etc) and quotes me a $$$ price for the install. I wasn't expecting to need to do a full replacement and was taken aback by the $$$ price, so told Len I'd do some research on my own and give him a call if wanted him to do the job. He understood completely, wasn't pushy, respected my decision. I paid him the service fee and he left. I did my research online, confirmed that the brand of equipment he was offering to install was pretty bad ass, and confirmed that his $$$ quote was reasonable for parts + labor. I called Len back and he was back at my place ready to install in another 30 minutes. Install took about an hour, and voila I now have a high-quality garage door opener installed. Len walked me through how to program it, gave me manual, informed me of 3 year warranty ... he also clued me in on some at-risk parts of my garage door and gave me maintenance tips ... all-in-all, VERY pleased with his work and service. Offered to tip him and he wouldn't take it! Will definitely call him again for any garage door needs. read more

My 2002 Genie garage door opener failed on Christmas day. I called Len the day after Christmas and he just so happened to be finishing a job near me. He was at my house in 20 minutes and had the problem diagnosed immediately. Rather than going with another POS Genie, I opted for the Marantec that Len recommended. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend but the quality is top notch and Len's work was exceptional. He had the old one out and the new one in and operating in less than an hour, he worked with the kind of speed and expertise that only someone who has a lot of experience could, and it showed in the expert quality finished product. A piece of equipment is only as good as the person who installs it and Len did a fantastic job. I could not be more happy and I highly recommend him. read more

Spring Garage Door & Gates is a business that I would highly recommend. The owner Len came out almost immediately on a Saturday afternoon to diagnose a problem that rendered our garage door inoperable. The hardware on our bungalow-style garage was extremely old and the original wooden door was very heavy. The wood beam that the hardware was attached to had shattered. Despite other workmen that had looked at the old assembly over the years and determined that an upgrade would be extremely expensive, Len showed us how he could install a modern steel backed aluminum door with electric operator with no problem. We went over features and styles with Len - his prices seemed very reasonable for his quality product and the install was scheduled within a week. The actual install went very smoothly and Len was part of every step. Len showed us all the features including the two-speed motor and rubber rollers which operated very smoothly. It was amazing that something we had suffered with and worried about for so long could be fixed in one afternoon. I would highly recommend Len and Spring Garage Door & Gates. read more

Spring Garage Doors and Gates is an amazing company!! We live in an old home and our driveway is quite slanted. Len crafted a custom scribe for the bottom of our door so it would close properly given the slanted driveway. Not only does it function well it looks great too! We chose a carriage house door in the almond color and it looks better than we even thought it would. A few of our neighbors have commented on it and asked about getting one for themselves. The motor is shockingly quiet. Yesterday I accidentally backed into the garage door, my husband called Len to come check it out and he came almost immediately to take a look and make sure everything was in order. Len is quick to respond, helpful, hardworking, and has integrity. Spring Garage Doors and Gates has attractive doors for reasonable prices and an honest caring owner! read more
