I used Spring Fresh Cleaning in the early 1990s. Eddie was the owner of the business at that time. He was a strict Baptist. Every time Eddie happened to be there when I was, he tried to get me to go to his church. I had a church and satisfied with it, so I always said no.
As far as the cleaning goes, I couldn't tell the difference in the house between the time I left in the morning, and when I got home at night.
It never smelled like a "just cleaned" house when I came home. It didn't smell "spring fresh and nothing shined. There may have been a little less dust.
Once I came home from a day trip. It took me two hours to get home. When I went upstairs to the bathroom, I was shocked and disgusted to find my toilet full of bright yellow urine!!!
Another time, my sister and I got home from a trip to my other sister's. As we turned onto my street, the smell of Pine-Sol was overwhelming. It filled the air when we opened the car window. The closer we got to my house, the stronger the smell was! When we got there and parked in front of the house, we got out of the car to a Pine-Sol-filled gutter all along the street, as far as we could see! The cleaning crew had dumped what must have been huge pails of Pine-Sol in the gutter in front of my house! It had traveled to the end of that long block. We had noticed the scent while driving toward home before we even turned from the main street onto mine. I was so embarrassed! My sister offered to get up as much Pine-Sol as she could out of the gutter. She took the hose and started rinsing the gutters out!
My poor sister! She worked so long and hard to get that smell as far away from my house as she could! I waited inside and took her home when she was finished. I thanked her profusely for her caring for me!
The bottom line here is this. I was very neat and clean about the house. When I called Eddie to help, I just needed a thorough deep cleaning. There was never a mess anywhere that called for attention.
I never received the cleaning service I paid for. My house was always the same as I left it. read more
