This business canceled my child's appointment & rescheduled it without any communication to the parents.

When I showed up for my appointment I was told it was canceled because they did not get a 48 confirmation. This was not explained when we made the appointment and they didn't ask for a phone number. Apparently they txt an old number that I haven't used in several year. I took off work to go to this appointment, very disappointed in their failure to communicant. If they needing confirmation, this should have been communicate. read more

Thought my experience was great. Emergency visit due to extreme tooth pain, got me in same day, extracted the same day as a new patient. Staff was friendly, doctor was understanding and communicating everything he was going to do or doing, and for someone with PTSD from having a pedophile for your first dentist (Dr. Johnson from the 90s), easing anxieties is a big deal. Took my payment, and set my next appointment for a deep cleaning and to watch my teeth that were damaged due to abuse from my ex husband 10 years previous. My husband and our 18 month old daughter came with in case I was unable to drive myself. We were there a total of 2 hours from check in to leaving the parking lot. Apparently someone on staff decided that our daughter was malnourished and in immediate danger and called DHS and CPS on us. My husband was feeding her snacks and a toddler snack pouch along with 4oz of formula in the two hours we were there. One nurse/tech kept making inappropriate comments about how my daughter wasnt a fat and chunky little baby like hers. I politely commented that all babies have different genetic and considering her father (who was taking care of her the whole time I was being seen and is an amazing and attentive dad) is 6'4" and 170 pounds soaking wet at 40 years old, it makes sense. I would also like to note that I am 5'4" and a curvy 155 but didn't hit 100 pounds until high school due to my metabolism and athletic activities, while the nurse was thicker and wider than my husband and I combined. I also stated that it was something that her doctor had assured me is in normal range for her growth chart since her birth. Whatever they said, it was bad enough to warrant 2 CPS workers coming the same day prepared with a car seat to take my daughter. Luckily, she is obviously well taken care of in a clean and healthy home, and not underweight or malnourished at all, just tall and skinny like her father. (She's 34inches tall at 18months). I had her wellness check from the WEEK BEFORE and hospital records from less than a month past when we had her hospitalized for 3 days scared about seizures, as well as appointment cards for every recommendation the doctor gave us THAT I REQUESTED. After over a week of trying to process this new trauma from medical health care professionals, I called to cancel future appointments and discuss the issue with the office manager. She was rude, aggressive, and YELLING AT ME on the phone while I'm trying to understand why they felt it was so necessary to call authorities on a family that they have known and seem for less than 2 hours. Was it because I was in slippers and pajamas after being up al night in pain? Or was it because her dad was primarily the person carrying for her while we were in your office? Because the child was literally snacking and eating the entire time except for when she was napping or laughing with her daddy. I even asked for a later appointment on the phone because the baby needed breakfast and he had to take our older daughters to school first. Either way, highly unprofessional and traumatizing to call authorities on a family that has and expressed medical needs for their child. Y'all are the reason mother's are afraid to seek any medical help for themselves. If anyone else in Claremore has had a similar experience with this office, please reach out to me. Called in to get a cleaning for my Autistic son. wass told they did not have anyone who is willing to be patient and they were going to refer him to annother practice that would put him under. Put my 6 year old under for a teeth cleaning because you are unwilling to be patient and take a little more time....for a 6 year old autistic child. read more
