Loved the unique flair of wood fired bagels! It made the outside crisp while maintaining the chewy inside. Service was fast and kind! We took ours to go due to the limited seating but the space was clean and cute. Definitely check this place out!

Delicious bagels in Charleston! Stopped in on a late morning on Saturday and all the seats were taken (they have maybe 10-12 seats total). There was also a line but not too long, it actually gave us just enough time to decide what to order. The cashier was also super sweet! When we grabbed our food maybe 5-10 minutes later, a table became free which was perfect! I had the Rosemary Olive Oil bagel with Nova Salmon spread ($6.25) and it was delicious! I thought the spread was an interesting way to eat smoked salmon on a bagel, and then rosemary flavor of my bagel was so good. Only thing I didn't like was the texture of the bagel - it was less soft and bouncy than my boyfriend's bagel, maybe because of the olive oil? My boyfriend tried The Standard ($10) with eggs, cheese, and bacon. He really enjoyed it and it looked really yummy! Definitely would come back if I lived in the area.

Really enjoyed our first Spread Bagelry run. Yes, they're busy on weekends. In general, we're glad that bagels are "back" in the conversation. At the front of Spread, you'll find the ovens and wonderful smells. Baking bagels gives them a nice outside crust. We tried the bagel sandwich on cinnamon raisin and enjoyed it. Everyone else ordered either sandwiches or a toasted bagel and schmear. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Our entire group enjoyed their choices. Ticket times were about 15 minutes and seating is very limited, so you may want to grab your bagel to go and eat outside. We look forward to our next bagel run, sandwich, and wonderful smells.

Run, don't walk, to Spread ASAP! The bagelry of my dreams! From the variety of choices to the friendly and efficient staff, you can't go wrong. I went around 10 am on a fairly busy Saturday morning downtown. The cashier was absolutely lovely, we chatted about the combo of the bagel I ordered as well as local coffee shops. I loved how welcoming the interaction made me feel. On to the food: I got the Rosemary Olive Oil bagel with the Pistachio Honey cream cheese after reading about the combination in a different review. 10/10! The bagel was toasty on the outside and chewy on the inside, an appropriate amount of salt, and the best part was the perfect cream cheese - to - bagel ratio! It allowed both the flavor of the bagel and the flavor of the cream cheese to come through. I loved the salty-sweet combination and would absolutely recommend it. It was ready quickly but tasted very fresh! Look no further for quality bagels with more interesting offerings than your standard bagel place and kind and efficient staff. I am big on bagels - like eat one every day big - so trust me when I say it's good!

The worst service and the bagels are awful. Much better places in town like Holy City bagels or Rubys.

They have plenty of things on their menu that offer pre-made sandwich ideas, etc, but you can make your own, as well. What I will say is this: they food is good. Large portions, bagels are cooked well, and the good packs a nice punch of flavor. So you really can't go wrong with the food. The coffee drinks, however....not good. I have tried a few & wasn't a fan of any of them. So definitely enjoy stopping in for a good bagel!

I ordered a vegetarian egg and cheese and also a vegetarian Rico. He said, ok, without the bacon? Which I replied to, saying yes. While the bagels themselves were not bad, I unfortunately found bacon in my food (the egg and cheese which should have never had bacon to begin with) The place is pretty clean. Busy atmosphere, long lines. When I brought it back to the counter, I told him, I ordered my bagel vegetarian, and I found bacon in it, the employee examined my bagel and said, "Oh, that's probably just a piece, do you want me to remake it?" This response made it clear that dietary restrictions and allergies are not taken seriously here, which is concerning for customers who rely on accurate food preparation for their health and safety. My husband also ordered a salmon and cream cheese bagel and said it was really bad. Other than that, the bagels themselves were fine, but the staff seem to have issues understanding food regulations and proper food preparation, especially when it comes to dietary restrictions and allergies.

Their prices have really gone up, and the quality of food just doesn't justify downtown Charleston price tags. $5.50 for a watered down "cold brew," and about $10 for a sausage egg and cheese on toast... which they up charged me $1.09 to switch it from a biscuit to toast they likely got at Aldi or Teeter After taxes this was slightly over $19. I don't see that they stock the Charleston City Paper anymore, which is something I used to look forward to reading in their worn in cozy space. I'd rather make this breakfast sandwich at home for 1/4 the price and the same quality.

5/5 Stars - Absolutely Incredible!…read more This spot is a total gem. We ordered a vanilla cinnamon iced latte, a cappuccino, a smoothie, a breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel, and a strawberry pop-tart, and every single item was outstanding- gluten free options too!!! The breakfast sandwich was perfect--flavorful, fresh, and served on a perfectly toasted everything bagel. The strawberry pop-tart was unreal, an elevated treat, and the drinks hit the spot. The iced latte had just the right balance of vanilla and cinnamon without being overly sweet, the cappuccino was expertly crafted, and the smoothie was incredibly refreshing. Beyond the food, the vibe here is immaculate. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the background music is great, and the workers are exceptionally friendly. It's the perfect place to kickstart your morning. We will definitely be back!

It is much more casual than I thought, with some of the menu (like bowls and salads) already made and ready to grab from the fridge. So happy we ended up staying because everything was fantastic. We ordered at the counter, grabbed drinks from the fridge and found a table on the side, covered patio. Food was brought out super quickly and it was absolutely delicious. I got the St. Philip pita, which was incredible and almost tasted like a halal cart chicken sandwich in the best way. It was so filling and so good. It came with a really tasty side salad. My fiance got the BLT which was just as great. I can see this being a really ideal space to bring my laptop and get some work done if I lived in the area. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a great, casual space for breakfast, lunch or coffees.
