I got the best spray tan at Cabo Tan in Libertyville!…read more This was the fourth place I tried after trying to find my new go to place. I wanted somewhere that was reasonably priced, easy to get into, provided a good color and sprayed by hand vs a machine. I used to go to another place in Mundelein that was also a hair salon but getting an apt was always so difficult but they did offer a spray by hand. However, the last few times I tried to go I couldn't get it. So I tried another place where the woman would come to your house but I didn't like the tan (could barley see anything) and it was so pricey. Then I tried LA Tan and I came out looking like I just went to the Jersey Shore. So I've finally found my place- Cabo Tan!!!!The owner is very sweet & helpful. The tan itself was literally the best I've ever had. I looked perfectly tan and it lasted the entire trip even after spending four days in the ocean. Apparently they have some secret tanning solution that no other shop uses and is better quality than the versa spa solution. Go give this place a try!

I also prefer the beds here too.

My review is based only on the stylist who rents a chair at this salon: Arturo…read more I was recommended to him by his nephew. I was skeptical @ first because this salon had no reviews on my beloved Yelp but I decided to book the appointment anyway & overcome my fear of going to someone new and mysterious. We got to the salon at about 11:40am on Saturday morning. My appointment wasn't until noon and I didn't have to wait! Woohooo +1! I met Arturo, showed him pictures of what I wanted, and from there... My shaggy, un-done, un-healthy, brittle hair was history. I went blonder than I was before (see pics). He did very thin all-over highlights with a violet toner. He listened to my wishes to the exact "T" and was extremely nice!! It came out awesome. I legitimately wanted to hug him! The salon itself is small, clean, but a bit worn down and in a weird location. Other than that, my experience here was great! Love it :) thanks Arturo! Blondes do have more fun.

I can rock all the trendy clothes and accessories I want but without the right hairstyle, I can still look like I got hit by a freight train. This is where Nikki comes in. It's been quite some time since I found a hairstylist that actually listens to my jibber jabber of "I don't want it too short but I want enough layers to create dimension and maybe some bangs or not and I want my hair dyed black but not too black and blah blah blah." Like a freak robot, she processes all of that, and I come out looking fabulous all the time. I should add that I live an hour away from the salon. If that's not a testament to how great of a stylist she is, I don't know what is. =) They offer manicures, pedicures, and spray tanning as well. The only negative about this place is its location. I wish it were closer but I guess if it was located in the city, the prices wouldn't be as reasonable. Why are you still reading? Go there already and be prepared to look fabulous!
