I was in town visiting the in-laws and went to Joconde out of convenience - and because I saw the high ratings on Yelp. Malak was sweet, but one of the first things she asked was, "Who cut your hair last?? Did you do it?" implying that the cut was a bad one. Ironically, I'm sure the person who cuts my hair next will be asking that, too. Malak was closing shop early that day - and it showed. She grabbed chunks of my hair and sawed at it with her scissors. No exaggeration. I was kind of appalled at the moment, but wanted to trust her, as the professional. She asked which side I parted my hair on, but when she dried my hair at the end, she put the part on the other side, which revealed to me that she had cut my hair thinking my part was on the wrong side. As a result, one side is really chunky, like my toddler cut my hair. The layers are really blunt and can't be fixed without really shortening the length. (I returned the next day to see if she could fix it.) When I returned to my in-law's house, my mother-in-law immediately asked, "Are you happy with it?" and I could tell that she didn't think it was a good cut at all. Not a day has gone by that I haven't regretted that decision. Really. Being a mom of two young kids, I can't easily get away to get haircuts, which is why I wasn't being picky at the time. I'm not a haircut snob - I just want some nice gentle layers, at a length that will allow me to put my hair in a ponytail. But this one was just horrible. I can't wait for my hair to grow out so I can get a better cut and pretend this one never happened.

Come on that's textbook Cosmo class. I know, I was there; decided to work in makeup instead. I digress, anyway, Malak took one look at my head and shook hers with a smile. "Come here honey, tell me what you want." I explained it as best I could, she saw the overgrown mess on my head and we began. She gave me a cut so friggin' cool everywhere I went today, people were staring at me! It's about 3 inches shorter all the way around my head but layered and just lays beautifully. We should have taken pictures; you know before and after, but she thought about it after. LOL She took good care of me and the cost of the cut and blow dry is very competitive with all the salons on Ventura from Woodland Hills to Hollywood. I'm going in for my color next month.

Her attention to detail is unmatched, and she truly takes the time to ensure that your brows and lashes are perfect before you leave. Unlike other places where I've had lash lifts that didn't come out quite right and was simply told, "Next time, we'll make it better," Kenia actually takes the time to get it right before you walk out the door. That level of care is rare, and I've never met anyone else in this industry who prioritizes client satisfaction the way she does. She is constantly learning and improving her techniques, always staying ahead of the latest trends. One of my favorite parts of the experience was the relaxing massage with ice-cold globes after my brow lamination--such a thoughtful touch! Plus, she even sends you home with a goodie bag filled with everything you need to care for your brows, something no one else has ever done for me before. Her space is spotless, welcoming, and full of positive energy--you can tell she genuinely loves what she does. She's organized, professional, and so detail-oriented that my lashes actually have a beautiful curl to them for the first time ever, instead of just sticking straight up. If you're looking for the best in brows and lashes, you need to go to Kenia. She's a true expert, and I'm beyond impressed with her work!

The membership was very reasonable and you can cancel at anytime so I went for it. Totally worth it. I was able to make an appointment same day. I walked in on time and Haley was already waiting for me with my room set to go. The room was controlled by Alexa which was pretty awesome. I asked her to walk me through the entire facial which she did. The thing that brought me there in the first place was the organic products that were marketed on the website and were used on me. I left there feeling like a new man without my face hurting or feeling like it just got burned off which is essential for me since I don't want to damage my skin. I looked at the room right after we were done and there was zero waist! Seems like they are very earth conscious which I'm all about. Haley recommended some great products for my skin and I was out of there in no time. I finished the payment and tip on the app while I walked to my car. This is the facial of the future! Thank you Haley and to Face X. What a tremendous experience and I'm glad I bought the membership. See you soon.

(Quoted from the website) I was referred by Sidra. I highly recommend that you get a facial from her. It was an amazing experience from beginning to end. Because one of the mottos of face X is that no two facials are ever alike...no two individuals will have the same exact experience. I had an avocado facial with different herbs and other ingredients for my skin type. Sidra has the perfect touch! Not too heavy and not too light. I definitely felt that my skin was receiving all of these natural organic products and accepting them so well. They have some very high-tech face tools tools and perform extractions as well as some like laser light type therapy. I don't know everything that was put onto my face all I can tell you is that it feels smoother than a babies butt and I look 10 years younger! I will definitely be returning and seeing Sidra. I am sure the other young ladies that work there are good too...all I know is, I saw Sidra and she was phenomenal! Because I only saw Sidra, I can only vouch for her. She explained each step of the way what was getting done and walked me through what she was doing and what was being put on. You have to download the app to get the full experience and you can make an appointment and pay without ever talking to anyone it's really kind of nice in this digital age that we live in you can select the kind of music that you want to hear as well as leave a tip. With all the stress that we put her bodies through we forget about what the face has to endure! It was so peaceful and relaxing, I literally fell asleep and woke feeling totally refreshed.
