This was my second service from Brahler's, the first a year ago for restoration following water…read morethat seeped into ground floor rooms following torrential early morning rain. Once called, techs arrived within a few hours, pulled carpeting away from walls and placed fans to dry the areas. Speedy, follow up to check progress as promised and the fans were removed when the floor and carpeting were dry. I received a call from Brahler's a week or two ago, reminding me of their work described above and saying they are available for carpet cleaning as well as restoration. I'd been thinking of having carpet and upholstered furniture cleaned, and their call was the incentive to do it now. If I could rate the company above a 5-star, I would. Before the appointment, lamps, end tables, coffee table, and other items that could be taken from the carpeted rooms were removed. The two-person crew called when they left their prior appointment and arrived at my condo at the appointed time. I reviewed with the lead tech what I wanted, answered a few questions to confirm all tasks, and specifically pointed out two *old* stains that previous cleaning companies had failed to remove. Then I got out of the way. Three and a half hours later, they were done. The lead tech said the upholstery would dry quickly, but the carpeting could take 12 to 24 hours. This morning, 16 hours later, I found the upholstery and carpeting dry. Those two stains I pointed out are gone! The furniture and carpeting are 12 years old and it all looks new, refreshed. I am over the moon happy with the results and the professional handling of my carpet and upholstery cleaning from placing the order to waving good-bye to the techs as they pulled out of the driveway! Note that charges are based on square footage to be cleaned. If you have those figures available, the person making the appointment may be able to give you an estimate of the cost. Other companies may be able to do it for less, but, in my opinion, they won't be able to do it better.

I signed to have a recurring cleaning once a month at my house. The first cleaning was fine but…read morethere were 4 people at my house with a supervisor. Every clean afterwards was poorly done with bathrooms not even cleaned. I asked that I have the same people clean my house but I never once had the same people. Most of the cleaners looked unkempt and no one I would have wanted in my house. I tried to cancel the cleaning but the company claimed the "contract" said I would have to pay for all the remaining cleanings for the rest of the year which added up to 3000. Yes, they wanted me to pay them not to come to my house. After continued complaints and even having cleaners steal from my house, the owner disguised himself as their "legal department" and threatened to sue me. I asked over and over to speak to him but he refused. The owner advertises his military background as a highlight but ends up making himself look even more embarrassing with his behavior.

They sent four efficient women who did a great job. This spring when we decided to invest in a monthly cleaning, we went back to them. It was terrible. First off, they said it was $90/hr and I could state how long the cleaning would be. They did not share that it's a minimum of 3 hours and you get charged whether or not you use them. Second, in March they sent two kids. One was a hard worker and one kept needing either me or the other kid to remind her to work. She also complained the whole time that my house was dusty. It was! That's why I hired them! Super unprofessional. In April, they called while I was at work and asked if I could leave work to let them come early. I did so and then they showed up at the regular time, anyway. I also discovered later that although I asked them to move the small end tables (and to let me know if I needed to move them) so they could swiffer the whole floor (they refused to wet mop), they had told me they did, but did not. In May they cancelled the appointment. In June I cancelled the appointment due to a family crisis. They added an extra month to my contract. Apparently they can cancel with less than 24 hours notice and have no repercussions, but I can't cancel with a week's notice. In July they called less than 24 hours in advance to ask if they could show up any time between 6-9 instead of 2-5. I said no, that's when we feed our son and put him to bed. They showed up at 7 PM, anyway. We asked them to just do the floors and kitchen stove and counter tops because we needed to feed our son and put him to bed. Look at the pictures to see how they did. They still charged us $284 for less than an hour of half-assed cleaning. I canceled our contract and now they want us to pay out the balance--$2700. They immediately sent the note to collections and wouldn't even deal with us when we explained that their service was unsatisfactory, but we were willing to cut a deal to get it over with.
